I just restored music and audio books off a CD that I'd backed up from my powermac. I restored it to my new imac. However, itunes keeps asking me for authorization over and over again. It says my machine is authorized but then when I click to play a song, it keeps asking me for authorization ID and password but won't play the song.
View 2 RepliesI know you can use iTunes dj to "play song next" or whatever but I don't like iTunes DJ for the fact that you don't have 100% control over what songs are playing if you want to pinpoint certain songs, etc..
Is there any way that I can line up a song to play after the current song without interrupting the current song and immediately playing the song I want next?
I have downloaded a song and when I go to play it...it bounces off of the song and will not play. I have iTunes 10.6.1......Apple charged me for the song already. I went to Support but could not find a solution specific to my issue. I have downloaded over 2500 songs and this has not happened before. This song was one of nine other songs I downloaded that evening...all others came through successfully.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an entire album on iTMS, on my Mac(Lion), and all but one track will play on iTunes, and iPhone4(iOS 5.1). I've additionally downloaded the purchased album on another Mac(Snow Leopard), and all tracks play, except the one track in question. When I go to play this song, it prompts me to 'authorize' the track to be played. I put in the correct info, and it does NOT play. This happens on each device. There were no iterruptions in any of the downloads of the tracks.Â

I cannot play a song on itunes by double clicking the song. I can only play a song by fast forwarding or fast backing from the original song played to the next song I want to play. I can then hit play and the song will play. what is my problem other than general ineptitude?

When I go to play a song in iTunes (any song at all, and all the files are definitely there) it just won't play. The play/pause button will change to the pause symbol but nothing else will happen. The ticker-thing at the top which tells you what is playing will say that, that song is on but the timer just stays at 0:00.
Currently running Windows 7 and the latest version of iTunes but this happened before when I was on Vista too. Seems to happen every time I open iTunes now...
I looked in my library and saw that some of the artwork for my songs was gone. I tried to play them, but they wouldn't play. I've looked at other posts and I can't seem to find a way to fix this. All the songs are MP3 and none of them are read only.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSelect Shuffle Mode. Pause your music, or make sure nothing is playing, then go to Minimize view.
Now hit FFW or REV. What appears in the track info box? Nothing, right? iTunes doesn't show you what song it has shuffled to. It only works if you are playing, not in pause.
Surely this is wrong? Sometimes you want to select song before playing it, right? This works fine on my Ipod. Everyone else have this problem?
we have a macbook pro running Leopard. My wife and I have separate user accounts on the single laptop and keep the music in one central Public folder (both or our iTunes are pointed to this public folder). For some reason, my wife is unable to make any changes to song info (album art, change genre, etc.). However, she can play the music, update her Nano, import music, etc. The only thing she can't do is make changes to the song info. This isn't an issue with my account because I am the primary user account on the computer. We are both set up as Admin and I have assigned Read/Write privileges to all files. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? Tech support/program specialist has no idea.

I copy "Classical Chillout" compilation album to itunes. 30 songs show up, each with their own (new) artist name, song name, and all within the album "Classical Chillout.

I want to batch rename all songs so that the Album name becomes the Artist and each "Artist" name is inserted into the "Song" name

I tried typing in my info to see if that would work, but it didn't, it said this computer is already authorized (which I already knew, because every other song on my iTunes plays, including all the other songs on this particular album). Why does ITunes sometimes not play the full song? Some songs will only play until the last 20-30 seconds but only in Itunes. They play fine and complete in the finder.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis has been happening to me for a while now. Sometimes when I drag music files into iTunes, only some of the songs will actually work. The ones that don't will play the first few seconds and then skip to the next song. I know that these files are NOT corrupted because if I keep deleting it from iTunes and reading it, I will eventually get the whole song to play. It's super annoying and I hate having to manually upload every single track multiple times. When I sync my iPhone to my computer, the same songs will only play a few seconds!
