I am new to iWeb and I have built a site for my father in law [URL]. It looks fine in Safari, Chrome and IE. But a friend of mine has just sent me a screen grab from Firefox. I have attached it and there seems to be a character encoding issue.
Also is there a way of renaming the page name without effecting what is visible in the navigation bar?
I'm having some problems publishing a site I've created in iWeb 08.
When I publish the page I notice that the colour of the page doesn't take up the whole visible area in the web browser (it appears to be "pillar boxed" with a white bar on the right and left of the screen). Is there any way to apply the page colour to this area?
I have only been "MAC" for five years now...from a PC of course. I LOVE IWEB, but noted this morning on one of my sites I have up ONLY on one page one of the navigation links is not working. I went back into Mac and took the page and marked it NOT to be linked saved and went back and reinstated it in the link navigation bar, resaved it, republished it, ftp'd it up and cleared recent history... and still no luck.
artistsoftexas.org on the ARTIST page, I cannot get the link to actively work to Galleries/workshops. Works on all other pages.
how to load the background and navigation bar once? I find it very ugly that for every page you visit on my site the whole page will be loaded up, including the background and navigation bar.

No matter what I do, the navigation on [URL] doesn't work and I'm flabbergasted as to why this is happening. Or not happening, so to speak. The other pages [URL] work like a charm, at least when it comes to links.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a large collection of MP3s that were ripped on a Windows PC and I want to add them to my iTunes library on my Mac. The problem is there is either no meta data for the files or the info that is there is wrong or badly formatted. The collection is organized with each album in its own folder, so I am able to tell what is what. Is there a program for OS X that would allow me to dump an album into it and rename all of the files and set meta data according to a certain format and get this track info from Amazon, Gracenote, or similar? Also, I would like to set the album art for each track.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a whole bunch of photos in various subfolders. Some of these photos have the same relative name (ie same file name but in different folders).
I would like to rename all these files like 000001.ext, 000002.ext etc, independently of file location so I can copy all the files back to one single folder (I can handle that bit in Terminal). There are many sub-folders so I need something recursive.
I've tried Renamer4Mac, but it isn't recursive. Does anyone know of a different app that would work, or even a terminal command/script/binary that would do the trick?
Can you tell me how I can change the font and size of the text of the navigation bar in iWeb please?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I have a compilation album, I like to keep it all as one album in iTunes and especially on my iPod. Traditionally I would copy the artist name into the song name, so it was "Artist - Song" and then change the artist name to the name of the compilation. That way, on my Ipod, I would scroll through artists, get to the compilation and play it all from there, meaning I wouldn't have a whole load of new artists, each with one song.
However, I just got a 6 CD compilation album.. 150 or so tracks. I don't want to individually rename every song this time, but I want it all to be under one Artist in iTunes (preferably). Is there any way to maybe select all of them and switch the artist for the album artist? Or is there another way to do all this that would allow me to have it all appear as one artist, but not have to rename each track individually?
I just found some third-party GarageBand loops and put them in my library. I didn't rename them before I added them and now they appear in lowercase with underscores between words. How do I rename them?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI renamed iCal cuz I was bored. Then I changed it back to iCal. Then I dragged it onto the dock. While the application wasn't running, for some reason, it looked like this. It obviously does that because the date changes, but the calendar pic doesn't. When the application is running, it looks like normal. And when I quit it, it goes back to the weird looking icon.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDear fellow Applephiles, I'm looking for a fast, efficient way (via an Automator Workflow for example) to do the following: Rename sequentially several files in certain folders so that their names end up being: "folder_name xx" e.g. I have 2 folders called Anne's Birthday, Berlin Vacation, and 2008 Prom with several JPEGs called "DSCxxxxxx" within them.
I want the files within each folder to be named: "Anne's Birthday 1", "Anne's Birthday 2", "Anne's Birthday 3", etc. instead of "DSCxxxxxx","Berlin Vacation 1", "Berlin Vacation 2", "Berlin Vacation 3", etc. and "2008 Prom 1", "2008 Prom 2", "2008 Prom 3", etc. and thus for each respective folder. By using a workflow.I truly hope it's just my being slow with Automator (or Mac OS X in general) the obstacle for accomplishing this.
In iTunes I manage my music manually. Sometimes I need to change a song's file name because something was spelled incorrectly. To change a song's file name I rename it in Finder. iTunes is running the background. Now here's the catch: After renaming a file I check whether iTunes detected its new location (CMD+I for "Get Info"). Mostly iTunes DOES recognize the new file path, but sometimes it doesn't. What helps iTunes detecting the new location? I really can't see a pattern in iTunes' behavior.

My problem is that on the second page, I would like the document to continue on without any table. I would like for the text to flow from the table into regular margin document on the second page. Is there a way to do this?
I currently have a boot camp partition w/ windows vista (I know...) but recently got Windows 7 running on Fusion. Windows 7 is, I believe, only a virtual machine and not a partition. (?). If I un-partition my HD using boot camp, which currently only has vista, will it effect my Win7 OS? Or is Win7 on my Mac HD?

When I load the page with text edit, I get some crazy Apple page, so I don't seem to be able to edit the HTML directly. Something that will allow us to rename the media files on disk from the info in iTunes. And if possible the Artist and Album names aswell.
Since we choose for .wav files we don't have an option for metadata included in the file. Now, we were wondering if we would use the Broadcast Wave format that includes metadata in the file. My guess is that iTunes doesn't support BWF?

I just purchased a new iMac 24" 2009 Model. I also got a Wireless Mighty Mouse & Wireless keyboard. I have owned the system for 6 days and each day the Mighty Mouse and keyboard will lose connection and require me to hold the power button down on the imac to restart the system. I called apple and was told to do a "Option Command R P" Reset. This did not fix the problem... I then called them again and was told to format the system.. This did not fix the problem.. I replaced the batteries, turned bluetooth off on any near by devices changed my 802.11 freq to a different channel. It seems from information collected from other forums that this is effecting mainly the new alum 2009 imac...I am starting to think this is now hardware. Also something I noticed.. Brand new FRESH Energizer Ultimate Batteries $25. I put them into the mighty mouse. 1 day later iStat reports the mouse is at 73%!! thats a big drop in 1 day

View 1 Replies View Related I am learning the keyboard and navigation. I have been heavily keyboard-oriented and prefer a keyboard shortcut when they are available. I have looked around for some but am unable to find them. It seems that some things just require the mouse.
An example would be navigating the mailboxes in Mail. Seems there is no keystroke to move up and down to select a mailbox, nor to "expand all" in the mailboxes pane. Instead each flippy triangle has to be clicked, which is quite tedious during my mail conversion process.
My Grand Son and a friend of his recently visited and somehow they changed the appearance of my display. At the top of the screen I used to have a bar that showed what website I was on and if I wanted to change web sites I just had to type in the new website I wanted. Now there is a grey stripe that only shows my favs and the forward and reverse arrows. Not very tech savvy so the terms may not be the correct ones, how to return to the previous settings.

I have loaded a SD card, and played it in my car, well my question, is there anyway to see all the artists that are in this playlist? I lets me play through selections—or skip through, to get to next artist or albums. Is there a way to see all the artists that are in playlist, then be able to scroll down and play that artist?
