I am working on a website in iWeb and everything is going well so far except for these gray bars on the sides. It thought they would only show up in iWeb but they are in Firefox and Safari as well. How can I get rid of them. I don't really want my site just in the middle like that.
View 24 RepliesI accidentally double-clicked on a file named "Domain" which was really a backup file of my Site. My problem is that I had backed up my site a long time ago, after which i have made many changes. Now when I open iWeb it takes me back to the original days of the site. I still have the desired folder in "Sites", but can seem to get in onto iWeb. Is there any way to put my latest site back onto iweb?
I haven't setup time machine, I publish using Easy iWeb Publisher, I don't have have a Mobileme account
My old MB got attacked by some tea and died. So now i have a new unibody although the main thing that i have lost from my old MB is my iWeb pages.
I have mobile me, and have the site published to that. How can i download the site to my MB in iWeb format? Iv tried downloading them as HTML but iWeb can't open them.
I just came inside after being outside for about 6 hours. When I opened my shell, there was no screen light-up, no keyboard lights, etc. I had already plugged into my power adapter and external hard drives (just as I always do). I punched keys, tried to use the trackpad - nothing. So I hit the power button for a few seconds. My screen came up seriously grayed out with 'indicator bars' (such as the ones that control brightness, sort of, but larger) at the bottom of my screen. Once they al went on, from left to right, my computer was awakened from it's normal sleep mode.

I have 7 sites in my iWeb 09 I updated only updated 1 page on 1 site after I published it to mobile me all my pages turned from blue to red.and think they all need publishing again.so I publish I do one site, they turn blue for a minute then go back to red.

I used blank pages for all the movie pages and each one has a 320x240 quicktime and a 320x180 wmv. Can you put movies on blank pages or do you have to use the movies pages templates provided by iweb to play movies?

Google already spiders my domain-hosted web sites on a regular basis, according to the reports generated by my ISP. Will Google ever find a web site hosted on .Mac on its own, or must I create a link to it from a page I know Google already spiders?
View 5 Replies View RelatedTwice in the last couple of days, these white and gray vertical bars/lines would appear on my IMAC screen. In between those times, my screen just went black, but I can tell the IMAC was still on, because it wasn't a pitch black as if the computer was off. Each time, the only way I could get the screen to appear back to normal was to turn off the computer and turn it back on?
This is not good. This is my second MAC. The first one after a year and a half, just poofed up in smoke. (Seriously, that is exactly what happened. I was sitting there, and all of a sudden the screen went black and a puff of smoke appeared from the back.) And now after owning this second one for almost two years, I've suddenly started getting these vertical white and gray bars and the black screen.
Anyone have any idea? I was simply looking up info on a website when these events happened.

I've put a lot of work into customizing the theme, and iLife 09 is currently being shipped to me. In iWeb 09, can I still maintain and build on this site even though the theme is not included anymore? And, if not, is there a way that I can find the theme data in Finder and copy and paste that into the theme data files in iWeb 09?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen copying a table from say a webpage or even a RTF file, Pages does not retain its table formatting. Instead it separates the rows and columns and puts them on separate lines.
See it for yourself, try copying one of the tables on this page into Pages [URL]
The only way I can get the table into Pages is to paste into NeoOffice (which retains the correct formating), save the file with the .doc extension then open in Pages.
I need to open a few Pages files but I don't have Pages installed on this computer. I understand you can convert Pages files to .doc or .pdf within the application, but unfortunately I won't have access to the computer with the program installed for a while.
Is there some sort of (free) converter that can convert .pages files to .doc or .pdf or even .rtf?
Or even better, a document creator/viewer than can open .pages files?
I'm wondering if there's a way to eliminate the visual break in-between pages in Pages '09 (see screenshot). I'd prefer maybe a subtle dotted line indicating a different page, not a 5-inch gap.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create pages that have all black backgrounds. I've been doing this by using the Shapes tool, choosing a rectangle, filling in the entire white space for the page, which is 8x11, and then filling in with black.
The problem is that when I do this, Pages seems to think that I want this page and the following page to be connected, in some way. When I look at the two pages in the thumnail view, the yellow outline is around both pages, rather than each individually.
Anybody know how to keep this from happening. Or the right way to create full black backgrounds for pages in Pages?
Unfortunately I bumped the switch on the power strip that my Mac Mini (1.42ghz G4, OS X 10.3) is plugged into while it was running. Now it won't boot up. All I get is the gray screen with the gray apple logo and the spinning wheel but no OSX.

Is there anyway to make it so the computer "cuts off the sides" so it can make 4:3 ratio without stretching anything? The bottom sides of the macbook screen seems relatively dim as compared to the other sides of the screen and specially prominent when viewed in a white screen. Is there something wrong with the backlight? Should i send to an apple service centre then?

I just noticed that the magsafe and the MiniDisplayPort are on opposite sides on the new Airs. It seems to me that this would pose a significant issue with the bundled cables on the 24" Cinema display (can the cable reach both sides?). I'm not home at the moment, so I can't really envision the length of the unbundled portion of the cord and the width of the computer.

I've tried to print a document with 2side option but on the layout option the selection is inactive.I try to install the latest driver but the result is the same. The worst thing is that with a PC with windows OS it works!

I just got this laser printer, and in the specifications says that it can print on Both Sides manually. How can i use this feature where it prints every other page first? In the printing options i see "Two Sided Printing" but I can't click on this feature.
