how to link to the guestbook installed on my server, in iWeb without iframes? I want to make a page with iWeb and integrate de guestbook in the middle of the page, but I don't want to do it with iframes.
I've searched for an hour but couldn't find anything but opening by dragging onto the tab bar. I've used a plug-in for firefox for years to open a link in a new tab by dragging the said link to anywhere on the page. Anything like it for Safari?

If there is a way to link my yahoo mail acc to my MAC OS mail, so that I can use the mail fuction. I use to be able to sync but after reformatting my com I am unable to do so. While trying to connect, an mes pop out said, you got to pay a fee to yahoo to get pop3 service.

This is my 2nd time reinstalling my mac in a few days and the 1st time I did I googled it and found a link to download it. Now when I search google it's not there anymore and I don't know what my exact keywords that I used to find the links were. I have iWork 09 as well but I need '08 to convert my keynotes to be compatible with the '05 version (school uses that.). It's quite stupid that Keynote 09 can only save to be compatible with 08 but not 06 or 05.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to decouple iCal from the computer's clock? I find the fact that if I reset the computer's clock it 'adjusts' everything in the calendar infuriating. When I try to look back at appointments from when I lived overseas a few years ago they are completely out of whack because iCal has 'fixed' all of the times by changing them to what they would have been in ET - in some cases moving them to a different day or making it look like I was attending meetings in the middle of the night.
This problem also exists going forward. I.e. if I fill in appointments before a trip, but then change the clock while I'm on the road so that, while working, I have the correct local time on my screen, iCal 'adjusts' everything in the calendar. This is not helpful.
Yes, I know I can designate a time zone for each appointment as I create it. But, again, that just makes the appointments all look strange on my calendar before I travel. In any case, it is an extra step in creating appointments which I should not have to take.
In short: I want my appointments to show in the calendar with the time I designated and for that not to change regardless of what I do to the computer's clock.
so I am using Dropbox to keep a backup of my Documents and Pictures folder. I read several tutorials about creating symlinks and I downloaded SymbolicLinker 2.0v2.
The one problem I have is that Finder keeps telling me it's an Alias. How do I know that it's a real symlink and not just an alias?
Whoever reads this, do me a favor, please. Find a web page with a link that produces a tooltip when you hover over it. Click that link. Wait for the resulting page to load, then hit the "back" button. Move your pointer off of the link you originally clicked, and just wait a moment. Does a tooltip for that link you clicked appear, just as though you were still hovering over it? It does for me. It has in every single version of Safari I've ever used, from version whateverthehellhaveyou in Jaguar, to Safari 3 in Tiger, Safari 4 in Leopard and Snow Leopard, to Safari 5 in Snow Leopard on not one, not two, but 4 different Macintoshes: a G3 iBook, a white non-unibody Macbook, another white non-unibody Macbook, and an aluminum unibody MacBook.
Just wondering if this happens to everyone, or if this is something special between Safari and me.

I found a utility that allows me to copy a file's location to the clipboard, but is there a way to create a link to a file location? I'd like to be able to send co-workers a link to files or folders on shared servers, so they can just click the link and get to that location in their Finder. I?m connectting from 2600xt via dvi-hdmi through a hdmi cable. Without the switch there?s no problem.

Im looking to buy on of these adapters from apple and I'm not sure which to purchase. I know the single link adapter would be good for the 24in monitor ill be hooking it up to about half the time, but the other half of the time ill have it hooked up to either a 40in or 52in HDTV. Will the single link be able to handle this or will I need,or am I at least better off with the dual link adapter? On a side not, what does the dual link actually offer over the single link, and what is the usb adapter on it for?

Since I upgraded to either SL or Safari 4, I have not been able to type a link and have it add www. and .com to the link automatically. For example, typing "google" and having it automatically add the .com to it. I've done some searching, and found out about OpenDNS. I would much rather not use anything like that to get my .com back.
