Feb 16, 2009I have a Windows version of Dreamweaver 8 and I want to transfer the files and webpages over to Dreamweaver CS3 on a MacBook Pro.
Is there any particular method of doing this so that all the files stay intact?

Jul 27, 2004I listened to a few U2 songs encoded with AAC and Apple Lossless. Listening through the standard ipod ear buds, I honestly could not tell the difference.
Has anyone been able to notice a discernible improvement with Lossless? If so, what type of music/speakers were you using?

Jan 30, 2009So I just got Dreamweaver CS3 in the mail today and tried to install it. I bought it from a retailer online because I learned on CS3 and didn't want to have to learn a half-new interface. It was also A LOT cheaper.
So the problem is, I get 1/3 way through the install and Setup ejects the disc. A message pops up saying I need to insert Dreamweaver CS4 disc. It has an option to Cancel or Ok. I hit Ok and the message just pops back up. I hit Cancel and I message pops up saying the user terminated install by request. It then list that it successfully installed the Shared something and failed to install Dreamweaver CS3 and a bunch of other apps that came with it like how Photoshop comes with Bridge, Device Central, etc. I think this is what's causing the problem because most of these extra apps are CS4, but I don't know how to not install these things. I do want them installed, I think, but they are causing this problem, I think.

Apr 20, 2009Adobe claims that Contribute CS3 is Leopard compatible, but all I get is a spinning beach ball. Any one running Adobe CS3 successfully on Leopard? Any tips on what I might be able to do? I've already re-installed the CS3 suite of apps and everything else seems to run fine.

Jan 28, 2010I'm manually moving files to a new hard drive and need the files for Dreamweaver CS4 so I don't have to setup new sites again. Are they in the User > Library > etc...? Or System > Library > etc...? I tried copying the user library Dreamweaver files but it didn't work. Just to be clear I'm not talking about the individual files for my site, I need the preference files? Not sure what they are called, .plist? The ones that will restore Dreamweaver with the correct directories and stuff.

Mar 10, 2010i am using dreamweaver 8 and am making a website. On the website i have a page where people can view/download pdf directions. I have it set up so you can view the PDF directions in the browser but i want to add another button where they can directly download the PDF straight off of the site without having to right click anything or open anything.. To make it short i want to be able for the user to click text that says "Click Here" and for a PDF to automatically download to their computer.

Jan 13, 2009I'm going to eventually buy a reburb white Macbook and I am contemplating between the 2.1GHz and the 2.4. As far as the ram and hdd are concerned, I plan on putting a bigger drive in and upping the ram to 4gb, so the only difference left is the .3Ghz.
The money saved by going with a 2.1 would just about cover the 4gb and a good 320GB HDD.
My plans for this laptop are: surfing, some work in Windows (thus the ram), itunes, iweb, iphoto... no gaming planned, I'm just not a gamer.

Aug 10, 2010I understand that some of the early core 2 duo's are different than the current core 2 duo's being used in the current 13" MBP's. I understand that some are T8000 series or T9000 series (I think??).
My question really is what is the difference between the earleir C2D's used and the current ones. Some of the earlier ones seem to have more L2 cache, do the newer ones run on a lower voltage? Have a different chip? Are quicker/slower?

Apr 5, 2009I used photoshop to slice my image file. I save it as a html and image file. I save the html part as the index.html. I open it in dreamweaver cs4 and center the sliced images. Now when I take an ap div tag file and put text in it, all looks fine. Now here's where I run into problems. When I resize the screen, the sliced image files centers fine but the ap div portion of it doesn't move with the slice images to stay in it's perspective spot.
So how do I make it where the ap div layer stays in perspective to where I put it no matter what the screen resolution is?

I really can't think of much more than that for the Air. I love OS X and thats why I haven't bought either. Mind you this is ignoring that Apple may release an update soon for the MBA cause if they do then I have my answer. But if they don't I don't know which I want! Jul 23, 2009I just have a quick question. I'm ordering a Macbook Pro this weekend and saw that one had a little beefier 512 MB of RAM instead of 256 dedicated for the graphics card.
I really hope Starcraft 2 isn't too graphic intensive and that the 256 would be enough to handle it. That's really the only game I plan on buying to play on here.

I read a thread a few days ago that said there is no CPU temp change between lid closed and lid opened. And after doing some of my own testing I now believe that information is FALSE.
I use smcFanControl to control fan speed and monitor CPU temp.
Before using smcFantControl to boost my fan speed to constantly run at 3,400RPM, my CPU temp was 10-20 degrees (celsius) higher, on average.
