The insurance company will give a new macbook to a college at work and he is wondering if he has to uninstall iWork from the old one, to be able to install it on his new macbook. Can he use the same license (iWork came with 3 licenses) or does he loose 1? In other words, if you uninstall iWork con you install it again with the same license.
View 1 RepliesI previously purchased iWork 09 with the Family Pack license. I did so by first downloading the trial version, then purchasing the license through the app. So, I never had a DVD for the app to use for installing it. I added it to my second mac by downloading the trial version to it, and then entering my license number. I never added it to my 3rd mac. I have now upgraded all 3 macs to Lion, and need to add iWork 09 to the third. How can I get iWork 09 on my Mac with Lion without buying it from the Mac App store? They have taken down / disabled the trial link and now point everyone to the App store so the old option is no longer available to me.Â

I tossed the Word Plist file and that did not work.
I have run Virus Barrier X5 and found a about 10 files with Virus 'W97M/Pinky.B' "Quarantened" them and still have the problem.
The problem started -- I think -- when I was doing heavy editing between Numbers and Word. But I don't think it is related (though who knows at this point). Without these programs I'm rendered pretty useless.

I need to update iWork on my Mac cos iWork 08 docs don't work on my new iPad. But iWork 09 is about 18 months old now so surely will be updated soon. Would anyone who is learned in the product cycle of Mac apps care to hazard an educated guess on an update?

View 7 Replies View Relatedso my iMac running leopard on my college campus was forced to install this application called "Policy Key.app" This program allows me to connect to the internet for my campus, yet, as I dug through the permissions of this app, I see that there is system access, admin access, myself with access, and then...."Unknown" with read and write capabilities. Is this normal? I assume the write part must be to deactivate my internet if I am doing something illegal obviously but I must say I feel uncomfortable knowing that there is the "Unknown" user that can read and write my internet access levels.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I used the iWork '09 trial for 30 days now and now I have a box version and I want to simply use the buy function from the trial to upgrade to the full non-trial version. It has: Quote: If you've purchased an iWork '09 box, you'll find the serial number on the Installing iWork '09 booklet. There's only one problem, there's no serial number on the booklet! How do I install using the buy function or do I have to install the full iWork suite again on my computer? Seems kind of silly. If so, do I need to then uninstalling one of my versions of iWork '09? And if so, which one? How do I tell the difference at that point?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSeveral applications on my mac keep uninstalling themselves, even whilst In use. For example: I was using firefox, then navigation bar seemed to lock up, so I quit Firefox, then it removed itself from the dock bar - I looked in my applications folder and it was no longer there? Had to download and reinstall to get it working again. Was using photoshop CS4, click 'save for web' and a popup told me it was unable to export as file didn't exist? So I saved my file i was working on, quit photoshop, looked in my applications folder and the entire CS4 package was missing?
To restore this, I opened Time Machine, and found that it had been missing for 3 hours, so restored the Adobe suite (7gb) and it now works again. This has happened to about 8 applications now, cyberduck, carbon copy cloner, adium, appzapper, automater, firefox, adobe? I've ran a disk check on my hard drive and all seems fine, no errors found. I'm also experiencing complete freezes every so often where I'm forced to hold the power button down to turn my mac off and then reboot it - all since this error started happening. I have a Macbook Pro, 17" 2.4ghz, 4gm ram running OS X 10.5.7
A License To Use iMovie Music On YouTube If You Submit Your Video For Revue Sharing?I believe I've seen many people with "ads" on their youtube videos and they are using Apple's included iMovie music, but, I'm wondering if it's legal to do that or not before I submit mine, as youtube likes you to provide proof that it is legal if you have "any" music in your video.

I deleted everything I could find but when I search "Parallels" in my finder a bunch of other stuff appears. Is that all related to Parallels, is it okay to delete them all, or not? The only reason it bothers me is because my computer used to shut down literally 5 times faster than it has been since I install Parallels. I think maybe that was the problem and if I delete everything I can find related to Parallels it will shutdown faster.

I downloaded a program called DIVX and it was working for what I downloaded it for but it is nowhere to be found on my harddrive to uninstall it and it is not in my applications list. Does anyone know where it might be on my hard drive? But aside from that alot of programs that are in my applications list do not even have an option to uninstall. I use firefox but if I ever wanted to uninstall it there is no uninstall option, same goes for programs like AIM or Yahoo Messenger.

I was thinking I could get around this by installing LogMeIn on my Mac at school and download torrents from there. Then I would log into my computer at home, which is on Verizon FiOS and has no limitations/bans. Would this work and if not are there any other ideas? I have an iPhone 3G so I could tether if worst comes to worst.
