Previous version of imovie only supported 720 HD. I did not care much because m my old camera was only SD, but now I would like to edit my HD content with ilife but I am afraid that it would down-sample my videos. Does it now support full HD?

This system is not opening or allowing PC Applications i.e. microsoft office suite, where all my documents are in. Is there anything I can do to this computer besides buying an external hard drive and splitting the system in two Mac and PC based?
I've read around the forums a bit and found some discussion on connectivity for sending / receiving emails via Outlook. Is it true that POP3 support is not going to happen with Outloook for Mac 2011? I have been testing the software and am able to recieve emails from my Godaddy POP3 but can not send anything out.
Is there an email/calendar/notes client out there that is close to Outlooks functionality? I am a nub as this is my first Mac and would really like to know what else is out there that is comparable and combines the features mentioned earlier. So far I love the OS and the speed...My custom built PC has shut down for the last time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know Excel 2008 does not support VB macros, but did anyone notice that "Macros..." is still available under the Tools menu? I wonder why it's there? BTW, I saved an old file in Excel 2008 that had macros and then opened it in Excel 2004 to see if the macros are still there. They are. That's a big relief, because I know I can at least work on files that have VB code in them without worrying that if I save the file in Excel 2008 format the macros will go poof. Ooof

Of course, this was for free, open-source software, so I know the ropes of that quite well. Parallels is giving me problems. It seems to be somewhat "disconnected" from my system: Networking is down, and the resolution doesn't adjust with the window's dimensions. What's the best way to get support for software that isn't built around a community? I expect the Parallels guys to show me the door, as I'm not using the most recent version (seems they release two new versions every year...).

View 2 Replies View RelatedWell, Safari was acting up and being super slow, so I decided I'd try to see what happens when I turn Flash off. Well, the internet flys now. It seems SOO much faster. Its no wonder Apple doesn't support it. I really like how fast everything is now. Anyways, the point of this thread is: 1) Apple is smart to not support Flash 2) Try disabling Flash in Safari, it makes the internet so much faster.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just noticed when I went to log in to the Apple Support Forum to post for the first time that the login page does not display the lock for it's security credentials in the upper right corner of Safari. Is this potentially an issue given that it asks for your AppleID that is used for iTunes? The webpage url starts with "https://" but it does not display the lock.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd love to see Final Cut Express get an update since it hasn't been updated since 2007! It does support up to 1080i HD widescreen, but 1080p is not supported. This is frustrating as iMovie is a consumer product and I prefer the look of Final Cut.
I know I could just purchase Final Cut Studio and get Final Cut Pro, and have 1080p support, but I don't want to spend that much money. Final Cut Express was perfect in that it had the look of Final Cut Pro! I wish Apple would release an update, but I haven't heard anything.
I recently installed Keynote 2009. I am trying to display a slide show in the Keynote 2009 window instead of full screen. I spoke with Apple support and was informed this feature was not available and to submit a feedback form. I have done as asked by Apple support. The current work around is to export the presentation to Apple Quicktime. Does anyone know a better work around to display my presentation in a window instead of full screen?

This file is located within 1Password App itself so you need to do the following: Right click 1Password and "Show Application Contents" Go to: Contents -> Resources -> SupportedBrowsers.plist Open this file with TextEdit and copy and paste the following(replace all the text in this file): OR Download the attached file and replace it with this version.

But, after looking through Applications in system profiler, I found out iTunes is not 64-bit unlike Safari and other native applications that have been re-written to 64-bit. I remember Apple said iTunes is also re-written. I must download a new version or it's included in an update (I'm waiting the 10.6.2 update to download at the moment)?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just logged into iChat and noticed the green icon is only a telephone symbol, not the usual video.
So I go into Preferences > Audio/Video and the video preview is now a white box with the text, 'This computer does not support video chat'.
It's a brand new MacBook Pro, iChat has been working fine up to this point. I re-started and still the same message.
I don�t use this feature that often, so I don�t know how long this hasn�t been working, may or may not be related to 10.6.4. I have used it in the past though, so I do know how to use it.
Right now, no matter what time zone I set iCal to, it displays the events in the time zone they were created in. And I can�t change the time zone an event is set to, it just snaps back to its original event. Right now I have two events for different time zones set on the same day, one after the other. In reality, they�re about an hour apart, but they appear to be 2 hours apart, and when I change iCal�s time zone, they don�t shift accordingly.
I prefer to view PDFs in Safari. However, starting this morning, when I click on a PDF file it opens in Preview. I checked Cocktail to make sure I hadn't accidentally disabled Safari's built-in support. I hadn't. How can I re-enable it?

When I sync my iPhone and iPod with iTunes, I get an error that says some obscure video can't be synced because the device doesn't support the file. I've included a picture, and have searched for the file, but can't find it! I would delete it if I could find it.
