I just bought a Macbook. I have thousands of pictures/hundreds of albums that I have on EasyShare. I would like to put some of these pictures on my iPod, but don't seem to be able to search anywhere except iPhoto. When I try to search Kodak Easyshare from iTunes, I am unable to access any photos except on iPhoto. Am I going to have to export all of these albums from EasyShare to iPhoto?

The quality is very good - I got the hardbound 20-page book with black pages and it looks awesome. My only complaint id that they are currently having problems accepting books with Type 1 post script fonts.Had the book in three days after ordering it right through iPhoto.
I just created a website for my dad using iweb 09 and published it yesterday. However, in the photos section there is a "download" button when you enlarge the image. Is there a way to delete this button or at least disable it? He is a photographer and is trying to sell his photos, this will nto work if people can download them for free on the site.

I finally bit the bullet on a new i7 15" MBP today to replace my dying 3.5 year old MB. I want to transfer my music and pictures from MB and also preserve my playlists and photo albums. I currently have a TimeCapsule as well. My current MB is "faulty" so I don't really want to copy over the drive per se, just the music / pictures. What's the easiest that I can do this? Sorry, I've never done this before and in the past I've just used an external HD and copied over the music/pic files but I lost the playlist/albums. It's over 3 years of work to redo, so to speak, and I want to see if there was an easier way to do this.

I just want to move a photo from one project to another, but I'm not getting how to do it. I've been able to merge projects which has worked a lot, but some photos just don't belong in the projects they are in. Is there some simple thing I'm missing?

At first, I thought it was the fact of 300 pics so i toned it down to like 50. No go. Then I thought, ok, the pics came from my Sony and my friends Sony and another friends Canon, maybe there was a corrupt file somewhere. So I made an album with just a single photo from an old pic, same thing. And here is what happens, when you create an Album, you can insert the photos in no problem, but when you try to save or publish to MobileMe, it just freezes. Most of the songs are grouped together in my library that are of the same album, but one album has separated songs. They are the exact same album and spelled correctly. I just bought them off iTunes and was looking for them in my library and couldn't find them when I looked at the rest of the album. I look farther down the list, and way farther down they appear. Album name is correct, but I guess iTunes just decided to not place them with the rest of the songs in the album in alphabetical order it should. My iPod touch lists the same albums multiple times when I search for albums. The album "classical" shows up almost 10 times in the list for some reason. The song list doesn't differ b/w them, and some songs are missing. All other albums are fine. What is going on here? Did my classical songs all of a sudden decide to become unique in a bad way?

If I drag the individual folders to ALBUMS am I using up an additional 20gb of storage space on my hard drive since it doesn't look like the EVENTS folder has changed/moved?

Does any body know, how to merge Podcast episodes from different albums and subscriptions, together? Lets say: I have news; collected for one week; I'd like to listen those in one episode, continues each after another, without stoping between episodes. My iPod Nano plays one, and than I have to swich to next one manually. Not convenient, when running in Gym or so. Could not find any good script for iTunes or some things can be done in iPod, after episodes have been transferred in.

Since installing iTunes 7, all of my Various Artists Soundtrack albums are now all broken up. For instance, 5 songs might be grouped together, and then another 4 songs grouped together elsewhere, even though all of them are labeled the same. Any idea on the proper way to label them to keep them all together?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI'm trying out iPhoto for the first time.I've been scanning and cleaning up old photo albums the past few months and I generally sync them to my Apple TV units and I noticed there's a sync from iPhoto option and while an image viewer like Xee is nice in some respects, it doesn't organize by folder or album so I can quickly scan for photos between directories, etc. I have to "open" a new directory.
XnView (which is great on my PC) is still pretty much beta for the Mac right now. But it appears iPhoto can organize my albums any way I want it to and share across the network to another Mac, etc. so maybe it'd be a good way to organize.
The problem I'm seeing offhand is that I can import my photo by folder/directory (I've been organizing them that way as I scan/edit) and according the docs I've read a "Smart" Photo album is supposed to update itself as your library is updated, a simple test of moving a new photo into a folder that was already imported in no way "updates itself" that I can see.
If I added new photos to a directory, it appears I'd have to manually add those to iPhoto as I go, which could be a real hassle if I ever forgot to do it (basically it's like having to move/edit TWICE, once in the real world directory structure and then once more inside iPhoto.
I have a Kodak easyshare V1253 Camera.It won't let me import photos and videos from the camera via iPhoto. Just says error downloading image.If I go into bootcamp it imports fine on windows.How can i fix this? I would much like to have a way to take pictures directly from the camera rather than through iPhoto like in the finder. Is this possible as when i plug in my camera nothing comes up.
