I have a Kodak easyshare V1253 Camera. It won't let me import photos and videos from the camera via iPhoto. Just says error downloading image. If I go into bootcamp it imports fine on windows. How can i fix this? I would much like to have a way to take pictures directly from the camera rather than through iPhoto like in the finder. Is this possible as when i plug in my camera nothing comes up.
After downloading Yosemite 10.10.1 to my Macbook Air, I can't import photos from camera to iPhoto. Had no problem before. It recognizes camera and says loading, but it never does load photos.
After installing Snow Leopard on both of my computers, I have found that while the computers recognize my digital camera it will not allow me to import photos into i-photo and eventually you have to just force quit i-photo to get out of it.
Trying to upload photos to Kodak and Heritage galleries. Worked just fine up until a week a go. Now they won't upload. Photos load into computer just fine. Don't understand why this became such an issue. Internet speed has stayed the same and Kodak and Heritage reports no issues.
I just converted to a 2007 Macbook (wife's old comp) and was using Sony's PMB software with my PC (Windows XP SP2). I know that I can use iMovie '08 to import the files but they are HUGE. I assume it's because PMB imports in AVHCD format and iMovie uses .MOV? Is there another program I can use to import my files. I don't want to waste all my hard drive space importing a few movies.
I have a Canon XL1s going into my MacBook Pro running Final Cut X via DV to FireWire 800 to thunderbolt. Since I am recording long meetings I skip recording to tape and record straight to the hard drive. I have done this in the past and it worked on older versions of the same hardware and software.
It will import only when the camera is also recording. Now When you import, you can see the feed and the computer says its importing, but after you stop importing the files are nowhere to be found. I even tried this on IMovie and used someone else's Mac with the same result.
When I import a video from my camera to iMovie it lags bad. I have a black MacBook with a 2.4 core 2 duo and 4gb of ram. I know it is not the file on the cam. I am also running iMovie 08. The video I am trying to improt is from a GoPro hero 2 in 1080p. Is that to much for my old Mac? OS 10.7.3
I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard on my Macbook and iMac. My camera will not Import any pictures since the upgrade onto the macbook only, the camera is recognised on the iMac in iphoto and the easyshare software. I had no issues with the camera using Leopard. The error message reads, "camera not detected, please retry" this is in the kodak easyshare software and the pictures will not Import into iPhoto either.
I have a Kodak M532 easyshare camera with a Sandisc SDHC memory card. The camera uses a usb lead. The memory card works on the iMac and it is also recognised in the Kodak printer memory card reader, so I don't think it is the memory card at fault. I took out the memory card then took some pictures, iPhoto and easyshare software recognised the camera and Imported them on the macbook.
I've downloaded some photos from my old, old, PC and have tried following the instructions re inserting the cd then clicking on import to library from file but I just got a load of flags!Â
I bought a Mac so I could use the free, but good video editing software in iMovie. When I try to import AVI files from my digital camera on to it, it crashes and shuts down before they import... I need help. Also, even if I try to just play a file in finder, quicktime will crash. It is weird, because the files worked perfectly on my old PC. Help please!!!
Also, is there any way to take back a Mac if it was bought on URL
Is there a function in iphoto to delete photos already on a camera? I know it asks if you would like to delete after import but what if you decline and later change your mind? My camera, that I know of, can only erase one by one If iphoto can mass delete, that would be great
I have recently imported some photos from my camera, some in portrait some in landscape. When I preview the photos, the portraits automatically rotate in order to be on the upside. But when I use it as wallpaper, it doesn't rotate. Is there anyway to make all the portraits rotate for wallpaper?
I recently discovered Bridge. Always had it, but never used it. I very much like that you can see all the information of a selected photo, and that you can sort photos on for example dimensions. It works faster than iPhoto too. The best thing though, is that you can make your own folder-structures.
That's the biggest disadvantage of iPhoto I think. Now I have hundreds (as a matter of speaking) events, which could be grouped to a a few dozens. For example: "Music" > "Concerts" > "Deep Purple" > "California Jam '74"
I know I can create (Smart) albums in iPhoto, but that merges everything into one. If I use my example again, if I would create an album "Music", there would be "California Jam '74" in it, but also an other concert from Deep Purple. And concerts of other bands. And other things related to music. And all of that merged into one huge 'event'.
Am I right or am I missing something?
But, iPhoto looks fantastic, the slideshows are superior, and those new Places and Faces are awesome. But that absence of a folder structure is killing me. If the events were just folder thumbnails...
I'm thinking, what if I do "don't import photos to iPhoto library", and make my own folder structures? That way I can use Bridge as it supposed to be, and if I want to show (off with) my photos I'll go to iPhoto and spend a minute finding the right event.
I have downloaded the appropriate software and connected the camera to the iMac via the supplied USB cable. The camera icon does not appear on the desktop and the camera gives a message "USB Mode Connecting... Check connected device" To me this is meaningless. How do I download my photos and my movies to iPhoto '11 and iMovie '11? This is a new camera and I'm very disappointed in it, as my previous Sony camera was a delight to use and download from.
I am not able to get 20 pictures off my digital Kodak EasyShare DX4530 to my computer using a USB cable and ImageCapture or iPhoto. The photos appear (I can see all the photos and files) but I am unable to transfer them or even open them and get information off. I think that this is because the pictures are saved on the Kodak camera's internal memory. What can I do to get around this problem?
I've installed Leopard and iPhoto '09 on my Mac. I have iPhoto 6 on an external hard drive. How do I import the iPhoto 6 photos and book projects into iPhoto '09 (I also want iPhoto '09 library to be on the external hard drive)?
I've been trying unsuccessfully to import 8gb worth of photos directly from my DSLR (a Canon 40D with CF card) to iPhoto and it keeps telling me I've run out of HD space before it's finished even though I've over 15gb to start with. I tried again tonight after freeing my HD up to 29 gb and it got to about 90% of the files when iphoto crashed, but I was monitoring it in finder only to see my free space go from 29gb to 10gb. Why do I need more than twice the memory card capacity to import these photos?
I cant import any photos or videos without iphoto crashing. I have an Ipad2 and iphone4 with a brand new imac running Lion. Since I bought my imac it has always had problems with iphoto. I have removed iphoto and reinstalled a fresh copy of it via the CD that came with my imac. Also, I have no plugins installed so no divx or anything like that.

I am trying to import photos from my IMac into my ICloud account but this option is disabled in the ICLOUD config window (not editable). How can I enable this option.
Can you plug a digital camera into the TC's USB port and upload photos? I tried plugging it in but the camera didn't show up anywhere. Can anyone confirm if this is possible or not?
I have imported photos from my digital camera to my iPhoto and when I try to view them, I just see a gray box with an exclamation point? How can I fix this so my photos will show up? It has always worked correctly in the past.
