The only problem I'm having so far is converting videos for my Nokia N810 (Internet Tablet). I used handbrake to rip my personal dvd's and tried using Internet Tablet Video Converter to convert the AVI files for viewing on my N810. When the final file is transfer, all I can see on my tablet is a blank screen, no audio, the file doesn't seem to play at all. Does anyone have the correct handbrake settings for my issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm currently doing some video converting using handbrake and I was just wondering if its ok to do this for a prolonged period of time? I have 7 movies to do, and am currently on the 3rd one. They take about 30 minutes each to complete and my cpu is currently at 84C. It fluctuates anywhere from 80C to 87C. Im just wondering if I should maybe give the cpu a break or if I can just do them all in one sitting?

View 13 Replies View RelatedIt's been a few months since I've compiled the HandBrake SVN and I thought I'd give it a try after hearing some good things after the recent improvements. However, I've been unable to actually compile a working application. Like before, I followed the steps listed here. I know pretty much nothing about terminal, so maybe I'm doing something wrong in the process. I've tried using RapidSVN and Terminal to checkout the SVN, but neither seems to work. After navigating to the folder, I type "make" into terminal. Previously, it would take a few minutes to compile the application. However, now terminal just responds with "make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop."
View 7 Replies View RelatedI need some help to convert .dv and .avi files to ipod touch compatible files using handbrake. When I try to choose either file type as the source file it just says 'no valid title found'.
The .dv file is a clip shot with my video camera and imported onto my mac using imovie, then saved as separate full quality file, in order to have a separate file that is not sitting in imovie.
The .avi file is a downloaded movie.
Both movies play fine in quicktime player and VLC player.
The Handbrake program does work as I have successfully converted a file ripped from a dvd using mactheripper.
I am surprised that I can't get it to work, as other threads on this forum recommends handbrake as the best software for video conversions for ipod.
Does anyone know how to extract audio from video files? I can't seem to do it from within the Handbrake GUI - is there a command line way of doing it? Otherwise, what's a program that can do it? Obviously I could use Audio Hijack, but I'd rather not have the quality loss that comes with re-encoding.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a lot of movies encoded with handbrake at the apple tv settings, and a few people have asked how to take one of those and re-convert it back into dvd files.
can this be done? I need to put a few backed up dvd's back onto dvd's cause i already got rid of them and i cannot watch the appletv handbrake version over at certain friends houses.
I tried doing the video files as data but they still show up with the .mp4 at the end and the dvd player will not recognize them.
I am trying to burn some mp4 and m4v files on my external hard drive to a dvd. I tried to do it in imovie and it took 5 hours to do one dvd.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a quick question. I have a DVD audio disk that was "imaged", a .iso file. When I open it in OSX, it mounts the image as a drive and I can access the files inside. Using VLC I can play the .VOB audio files.I would like to convert the files to either FLAC or MP3 so I can archive them on my computer and also burn them to CD-R as I can't play the DVD-A outside my computer. So I was curious were there are programs/freeware to convert these files.

I read that toast titanium does a good job of converting any video file to dvd but you can not download it to try it out, you just have to buy it. I do not want to waste my money if it does not turn out to be the quality I am looking for.
Any suggestions of any programs that does this task and performs well?
I was wondering if there was an easy way to take a very long image, and convert it to a several page PDF file. I have Dragoman, which converts PNG files to PDFs, although it keeps it as one page. I would like it to automatically split the long image into several pages. Is there any way of doing this short of editing the image and exporting each page length section separately? If there isn't a Mac program, is there a Windows program that can do it? I have Parallels too, but either way I would like to know.

Is there an app that can batch convert multiple video files? I found one called mpegstream clip which is good, but it seems to only do one at a time, it there a feature in it that can do more than one at a time? One at a time is ok for 4 videos or less, but when I have more than that it can get a little tedious. Specifically, I need something that can batch convert my mpg movies files my point & shoot digicam can take to a format that imovie 09 will import & work with.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering if anyone else has this problem? Whenever I import a cd into iTunes, or convert a track to a different bit rate, it literally uses all my computer's memory/CPU. I cannot use the computer for anything else during this time as it's far far too slow, to the point where programs won't even open. This wasn't always the case, but it seems with each new version of iTunes it becomes worse and worse. I import at a pretty low bitrate 128 mp3. I am only trying to surf the net when I'm importing, I'm not doing anything else or using/running any other programs. If I do try to use another program (like my email program - outlook) it will barely open, takes forever to do anything, and wants to freeze. I can't use Microsoft Word because typing anything is impossible. Massive lag before the typed words show up.
