Applications :: Convert PDF To MS Word Doc Problem?
Mar 24, 2010
I am using Acrobat 8 and have a PDF file that needs to be converted to a Word Doc. Simply clicking on the 'Export - Word Document' button works fine. When I open the document in Word (2004 for Mac), the file isn't displaying properly and a lot of the page is missing or duplicated.
Does anyone know of any good free software to convert pdf files to word files so that I can edit them. I have seen the online converters but was wanting to know if there is a downloadable product for macs.
I have a word doc that I need to make into a PDF and when I do it makes a multiple page PDF which I then have to move pages from one file to another to get back to one doc. How do I can / force the settings to make it stay one file?
I am on an iMac which recently moved to Snow Leopard (10.6.2). I am preparing documents in Word (12.2.3 rtf) but when, after having saved them in Word rtf, I reopen them they reappear automatically in Textedit.
I have recently upgraded to Mavericks and now find that my old Word files (2004) can't be opened. (I can still open my Word 2008 files.) I have been a maths teacher for decades and have many old files which are still very useful but they contain more than just text; they contain diagrams, MathType expressions etc. etc. I need to be able to convert these files to files that can be opened with Mavericks. How I can do this?
Microsoft Word Mail Merge launches a file converter when using Excel files as the data source. Nothing new about that. However, when using Mail Merge in Word 2008 and an Excel xlsx file as data source under OS X 10.6, the file converter will not recognize the file unless the extension .xlsx is actually appended to the file name. The file converter used by Word 2008 still recognizes xls files with or without the extension appended, as did the file converter used by Word X.
Yeah, so I've been having some issues trying to convert .wmv files into files that I can place into idvd/imovie/etc (such as .mov or .avi) but I can't find any programs that accomplish this task. Bit of background, I'm a college student so obviously, money is tight - So I was curious as to if there is a freeware program (or even a shareware one) that will accomplish this task.
I've been searching and searching and all I can find is converters for PC, none compatible with MAC.
I've been recording my lectures with my phone and they play in quicktime but i have a couple others in my iTunes and i'd like to have them all together.
I am an audio transcriptionist. I am new to mac. For my transcription I use a program called ExpressScribe [URL]. It works great on mac. I need this program because it allows me to use my foot pedal. Using a foot pedal increases my speed. Increased speed means increased salary. Here's the problem: I have a rush file due tomorrow. It came to me in an .wmv format. I cannot ask for it to be converted. This file automatically downloads into quicktime. I have to convert this file to an mp3 so I can open it with my ExpressScribe. I tried using "switch" (offered by the same company that brought me ExpressScribe), however because the file downloads automatically into quicktime I don't know what to do. I need to find a way to save this to my desktop as an mp3 or open it in itunes.
I Mroogled. All old results. Google only comes up with programs that either suck or apparently do not work on Snow Leopard.
The problem is that it is a multipage pdf. I opened it with Preview, and saved as a jpg. Only saved the first page. Control-A'd to select all of the pages in the sidebar, same thing.
I need one single (very very tall) jpg from this pdf.
I just wanna convert my .3pg videos from my phone to .avi or .mpg so i can upload them to my blog. I'm looking for a free application (not a trial with their watermark on the video) to make the conversion.
i need to assign a background sound in my page, and i have used garageband to create a very simple tune, and export it to the iTune.IS there anyway i can convert from m4a to MP3, or MIDI file?
I have a bunch of videos that I need to convert for internet streaming. Opening them in QT Pro shows that they are .MP4 videos with a video codec of AVC Coding. WHen I tried converting them straight to .MOV H264 I got nothing, but I just tried .AVI and everything was good.
Does anyone have any codecs/applications for converting from AVC to H264 in one swoop?
