Applications :: Bowtie Doesn't Display CD Cover?
Feb 16, 2009I installed Bowtie today and download/installed the theme pack but when I run iTunes and Bowtie, I do not see the CD cover on the Desktop. What am I doing wrong ?

Applications :: Getting Rid Of Bowtie Themes?
May 12, 2010I can't seem to figure out how.
I located all my themes, deleted them, deleted all application preferences for Bowtie, and then deleted Bowtie.
A quick reinstall of Bowtie and upon startup, all my themes are still there.
The whole purpose of this is to get rid of a theme that isn't working (Zokunft Condensed Black), and I know it doesn't matter that much, but I tend to get hung up on things like this.
Any way to just get this theme off my hard drive?

Feb 4, 2009I have been using BowTie for a while, however I have a bit of a problem. I have unchecked 'show Bowtie in menubar' and 'Bowtie icon in dock'. I now have no way of accessing (known to me) the preferences for the application. is there a way around this?

I'm not very good at editing the scripts and what not, but basically as you can see from the screenshot at the link above, there are the 5 rating buttons and the X, I was able to remove those so it's just the album cover.
Every time a new song starts playing the theme will have the band and song title scroll by. What I want to do is have the song/band title constantly scrolling by instead of just when a new song is played.
I'm not sure if im posting this in the right section or if I worded this right

MacBook Pro :: Cover Doesn't Hold In Any Heat
Jul 17, 2009Is there a good, sleek, slimline, and stylish hard cover out there to fit this model? When I first purchased the notebook, all of the hardcovers looked horrible. But now some of the new MBP models have fantastic covers available. Also, it's important that the cover doesn't hold in any heat since I do a lot of GPU and CPU intensive work.

Mar 22, 2012My macbook pro 15 inch (i believe its a unibody) 2.66 ghz has been through **** and back. I traveled through 4 continents with it since I got it, dropped it numerous times, keyboard light doesnt work, upgraded to lion from Lepoard, screws missing on the bottom, macbook heats up like crazy and its starting to wear down.  Im wondering if anyone has any kind of link or some kind of guide as to how much it would cost to fix my Mac. I know it wont be like new but it will be close. The genius bar and Apple may be crazy with pricing sometimes but they do the best job. Â

Jul 3, 2012My iMac 27" started cutting out/powering down for no apparent reason... I took it to an authorised repairer to be 'fixed'; 19 days later, It's had a new power supply, new power inverter and logic board (still not tested at this point in time to see if it resolves the issue). When i dropped it in it had the official VESA mount adaptor fitted not its original stand (that was in the box); I asked them to put the stand back on, they can't, they're saying the mechanism's damaged and AppleCare doesn't cover it.... Hardware is it not? The VESA adaptor is designed for home install, how can that not be covered?

OS X :: My MBP13 Detected The Ext Display But Still Doesn't Display Anything?
Jun 7, 2010i m using LG22inch monitor, it is a vga cable connected to a dvi adapter connected to a dvi miniport.
initially i tried to plug it in without AC power, but ext monitor screen is black. I surfed the net for some solutions, it says tat the AC power must be plugged in for the external monitor to work.
However, when i plug in AC power, the ext monitor is still sleeping, even though i can detect it in my profile settings.. what can i do to wake it up?

Apr 7, 2010I installed the Bowtie app and i had my iMac replaced a few times in the apple store. The last time they replaced my iMac they copied the data from my broken iMac to the new one and ever since then i get an error message that references my old iMac a 20" one from 2008. The old iMac was one that i used to migrate to the new one originally. Below is the image that appears.

MacBook Pro :: Unable To Close Battery Cover Latch / Opened The Battery Cover?
Dec 21, 2008picked up a unibody last Saturday night, and opened the battery cover tonight. The latch was opened with little resistance, but now won't close. The latch edge sits about 1/8" up, and I can't find anything which would seem to prevent it from closing.
Anyone else had a troublesome battery latch, and how did you resolve it?

Mar 12, 2009I find that I swipe on my macbook pro to go through the cover flow, I find that it lags or freezes then flies by as if to catch up. But then it freezes again, flies by, irritating. Has anyone else experienced this?

but my safari show 24 sites in the cover flow, and on this big a screen they are large also.
It could easily handle double or treble that number in an icon size cover flow.

Dec 25, 2007this album is on iTunes. so there is cover art. i put in my CD and get an incorrect picture and CD listing. i fix this, i then try to import the correct picture and get nothing. i USED to be able to fix this by making sure that the album name, artist, and song name were the exact same as iTunes store....no dice now. the iTunes art is clearer than any Jpeg i will find...i would prefer it..but HOW? if i could just GRAB the art or point iTunes at the listing in the store, i would be appeased.

I did it as a gift for my wife for Mother's Day, and gave it to her early because I was excited to see how she liked it, and she most definitely did.

Jan 31, 2009Okay, so for two of my albums (both by the same artist) there are three pictures of each album as if they are each their own album. Every song is tagged the exact same, nothing's different, artist name and album name are the same throughout. Screenshot attached. I've tried clearing album art, deleting and reimporting, nothing seems to fix this.
Also, on that same album, half the songs don't play on my iPhone/iPod. They play perfectly fine on my Mac, and they are encoded the same as all of my other songs, but when I go to play them on my iPhone, the song never starts. Nothing freezes, the song just never plays. I have to restart the iPod app for any other song to play. I've tried restarts, restores, firmware upgrades, nothing. This problem has existed since 1.1.4. Why?
