My Bowtie Growl Notifications are'nt showing the album art properly. It looks like this:

Does anyone else have this problem? I am using Bowtie V1.1 and Growl V1.2 .
currently i'm on 2.2.2, and the app store has 2.5. i have no problems paying 5 bucks for this app, but what's the differences in the versions? i actually see nothing aside from a few new bezel icons, and the loss of growl notifications..

I located all my themes, deleted them, deleted all application preferences for Bowtie, and then deleted Bowtie.
A quick reinstall of Bowtie and upon startup, all my themes are still there.
The whole purpose of this is to get rid of a theme that isn't working (Zokunft Condensed Black), and I know it doesn't matter that much, but I tend to get hung up on things like this.
Any way to just get this theme off my hard drive?
I have been using BowTie for a while, however I have a bit of a problem. I have unchecked 'show Bowtie in menubar' and 'Bowtie icon in dock'. I now have no way of accessing (known to me) the preferences for the application. is there a way around this?

I'm not very good at editing the scripts and what not, but basically as you can see from the screenshot at the link above, there are the 5 rating buttons and the X, I was able to remove those so it's just the album cover.
Every time a new song starts playing the theme will have the band and song title scroll by. What I want to do is have the song/band title constantly scrolling by instead of just when a new song is played.

I'm sure most of you use Growl. Well I left my MacBook Pro on all night uploading some junk and when I went to it this morning it was doggggg slow, the dock refresh was tearing, it was horrid. So I opened the activity monitor and Growl was taking up 3.4 GIGS of virtual memory.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched my settings in Mail so that I'm now checking my Gmail accounts using IMAP rather than POP. This has gone smoothly save for one thing: Growl now notifies me of every piece of Spam that comes into the Spam folder on the server. Is there any way to adjust this?
Likewise, Growl also notifies me about anything new message on the server, whether it's an e-mail I have sent (added to the server-side Sent Messages folder) and also takes to notifiying me two, three, or even more times for a single message (because it comes into the All Mail folder on the server and then into my client-side mailbox in Mail)
Just an FYI, CS5 will install Growl automatically and start it. Yet the only app that it lists in the Growl config for Adobe is the Adobe Application Manager?
View 24 Replies View RelatedSince I installed Snow Leopard I have an annoying bug when I have Growl and Firefox installed. When I start up Firefox, the windows isn't on focus (window is kind of in the background). On Leopard I started Firefox and immeditatly I could press cmd+L to write the homepages. With SL I need to click first into the Firefox window because it wasn't on focus after starting up. This weird behaviour only appears when I have Growl installed, if i deactivate Growl, Firefox starts on focus, but since I need Firefox AND Growl, this annoys me a lot..
Could anybody of you who also uses SL, Firefox and Growl test if the Firefox window is on focus after starting the app, ? I tried it on 3 different Macs and all of them have the same bug. :-( I already wrote to the Growl and the Firefox team, but until now both of them say it's the other apps fault...
I have 10.6.4 with the latest version of Mail and GrowlMail. Sometimes, it decides to show me the notifications and sometimes it doesn't.
I've already checked to see if I enabled the settings correctly in Syst.Pre/Growl and Mail preference as well.
Is the Growl project dead or did someone simply forget to renew the domain registration? The homepage growl.info seems to have expired and now points to a placeholder page for parked domains.

The only settings for audio is just for when signing in but there's no option to shut off any other sound effects.

I installed the Bowtie app and i had my iMac replaced a few times in the apple store. The last time they replaced my iMac they copied the data from my broken iMac to the new one and ever since then i get an error message that references my old iMac a 20" one from 2008. The old iMac was one that i used to migrate to the new one originally. Below is the image that appears.

I have tried removing Bowtie from my computer and all the related files but everytime i install it this comes up.
I keep my large music collection on an external drive connected to an Airport Extreme in my home. I've embedded all my album artwork in the music files, and previously all the album artwork was displaying perfectly in iTunes. After upgrading to iTunes 10.5, however, most of my albums are missing the album art in the album list and Cover Flow. I know that the art is still in the file because it shows up in the "Now Playing" box in the lower left corner of the screen. The only way I have found to get the album art to show up again in the album list and Cover Flow is to go through the following steps: Control-click the first track of an album for which the cover art is not displaying correctly. From the context menu that appears, select Get Info.Click on the Artwork tab, then click Cancel.
Now the artwork shows up in iTunes in all views. I called Apple Support and asked if there's a faster way to fix the issue with the database. Manually fixing each album for hundreds of albums is no fun. Telling iTunes to Get Album Artwork doesn't work because most of my music was not purchased from iTunes but was ripped from CDs I already own. It's very frustrating because I already spent hours finding and embedding the hi-res album art in my files. I paid extra for Apple products because I expect them to at least avoid corrupting my databases.
When importing multi disc CD albums they will show up as three separate albums, 1,2 & 3 for example.How do I set it up so they show as one, 3 disc album and play through?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, when I download the album artwork from iTunes for "Music from and Inspired by Spider-Man," it instead shows artwork for "Ethnicali: Music Inspired by the Golden State." I don't even have that album. There was another album of mine that iTunes applied the wrong artwork to as well, but I can't remember it off-hand. In any case, does anybody have any suggestions as to what I could do to fix this issue. I already submitted feedback to Apple about the problem as well.

So that way i can get speech reminders? I am new to Mac so not sure how anything really works but i did search a little on Google and i think it can be done, just dont technically know how...

Inside of the iTunes program I have gone through all the songs to see if they have album art and they do, it shows up in fine in iTunes. However, with certain songs in Front Row they do not show up. I was wondering what the problem would be here. Does the actual song file have to have the art embedded or something like this? Has anyone else had this issue with their album art not always showing up in Front Row?

I've downloaded the correct art work but it adds it to the file and doesn't delete the incorrect one. The incorrect one still shows in iTunes and on my ATV's. I'm new to the Mac as well.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have imported an album from CD but iTunes INSISTS that track one is one album, and tracks 2-4 are another - though it gives both albums the same name. So the "second" album has tracks 2-4 of 4 and the first, 1 of 4. I have done all the usual stuff, selected them all and bulk changed / retyped artist, album name , cover art etc. Anything I might be missing?
