I am on vacation and my future roommate received a lease that I also need to return to the landlord. He said it would be no problem to get it to me, and now I have 6 jpeg files.I have to send these to a bank first so I need an application that can take the text out of pictures. That's it.

After a great time of 4 months with my MBA rev.A SSD touring all over Europe I start to get some problems lately. Different application get stucked all of the sudden moment. Safari get stucked, and viewing drawings or PDF's in "Preview" show often half distorted pictures or weird looking Fonts.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was hoping that somebody could recommend a good advanced text list editing application, that I could use to edit a massive text list that I have, in which there is both a leading space and a trailing space at the beginning and end of every item in my text list, which I am trying to get rid of. Normally, I would use Microsoft Word's Find/Replace feature to replace a particular text character with a different character of my choosing, however, if I were to try and use this feature to remove every space in my document, it would also mess things up quite a bit by removing spaces that exist correctly between the words for various items in my text list. How I could go about accomplishing this task?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI used iPhoto to import pictures off of a camera instead of manually copying them to my Photo folder and then using iPhoto to get them from there. So, my question is, where did those pictures go? I'm hoping that they are stored in some folder somewhere (which I have been unable to find) and that they are NOT just part of the monstrous "iPhoto Library" file in the Photos folder where I can't actually get at them.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMac screen resolution is getting higher and higher, which is nice, but the downside is that we seem to have lost "what you see is what you get." I have set the default document size of Text-Edit to about the size of an 8 1/2 x 11 document, which fits easily on the screen. I have what appears to be a single page of text. It all easily fits in the document window. The headline fits across the width of the page. But when I choose Print, the print preview shows that the text is going to spill out onto two sheets of paper.  I exit out of the print document and reduce the text size so that it all prints out on one sheet of paper. The problem is, the size of the text onscreen is now TINY! It looks like it's about 6 point while the printed text looks like it's about 12 point! No WYSIWYG!  When I revert the document to the way it was originally, where it was going to print out on two sheets of paper, and then hold my printed document up next to the screen, the printed size matches the onscreen size almost perfectly, even though, if printed out at this size, the text would spill out onto two pages and be huge. In other words, 18 point size text prints out at about 12 points and 12 pt text prints out at about 6pts, so there's about a 6pt difference in how text looks onscreen and how it prints out. Again, No WYSIWYG! My older Macs had much lower-resolution screens, but text printed out at about the same apparent size on screen. I know the original Macs had 72dpi screens so that they would closely match the printed size of text, and I like the fact that monitors keep getting better, but is there a way around this problem of printed text not matching the size of onscreen text?

So I found the lost project in FCPX. It has a music tract, text and video. When I pulled the project down for editing, I am able to separate the music from the video, but the text bubbles do not appear above the video allowing me to change the misspelled words that need editing.I've searched all of my backup drives for the original footage in case I have to re-edit the whole thing, but I'm unable to find the original footage. Every event in my libraries appears as a finished project.

We got (by mistake) a kid's digital camera (MiCam Junior) that only advertises itself as being compatible with Windows, and which uses some (supplied) Windows software to download the pictures...
At first I thought it was no big deal because most (real) cameras don't need special software but just behave pretty much like an external drive.
But for some reason, this one doesn't - it is not picked up by iPhoto or Image Capture...
What should I try next?
I am trying to get my photos out of iphoto in applications 179mb and put them into my iphoto library in pictures but I cant do it I have tried using import but iphoto in applications is not highlighted.

Also when I try and connect my camera to import my pictures my computer keeps looking for my time capsule.
About two years ago or maybe less i started using Mozilla Firefox, it was great then. But it got boring and i moved on to safari which, in my opinion is much easier to use. I downloaded speed download which best works with firefox so i started to use firefox again, now the problem i have with it, it NEVER shows various pictures around sites , specially google images. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Mac. When I try to upload pics to the net, I have a problem. On the site it has the little link that says "Choose file" or something like that. So I click it and try to click file location for the pic I want to use. The problem is my photos are in iPhoto and when I try to select file it stops at iPhoto. I cannot select a specific file within iPhoto. It stops at iPhoto and I cannot go any further.

Let's say I load www.google.com, it appears in the safari window as usual.
Suppose I begin to type a search in the google search field at the top right of the safari window (not the one on the google page)
if when doing this the sentence is long for the search, at some point randomly, the rest of the text will be entered this time in the google search text field on the google page! (which is the very next text field) So when I hit enter it makes google search half of my request...
Safari changed the text field I was into with no warning. I want to say I do not press tab at any moment. This is annoying really, and this does not appear anywhere else than in Safari. It seems the issue is not systematic, but appears quite often.
I have no universal access setting except "enable access for assistive device" I had to check this box upon installing a software in the past but I can't remember what it was.Â
I am looking for a program similar to FormulatePro but not as rough around the edges, that allows you to add text to pdf files. FormulatePro works but it takes quite a while to add text as the controls are not very fluid.

View 12 Replies View RelatedMy new iPhoto '09 is quitting after downloading about 5/five/pictures from desktop or folder or other files. The number of photos in the folder is about 80. I did try not to use import cmd. and just slide few /8/ from desktop into iPhoto - is not taking - quitting after download of 3. Was no problem with download of original software. Was no problem with iPhoto '08 ever. My next step will be to uninstall whole iPhoto'09 and download again from the disc, but I am hoping for shorter solution.
