App Store :: Cannot Download New IPhoto 9.2.2 On MBA - Use Default ID?
Mar 25, 2012
I bought MacBook Air 5 months ago with OS X LION and ilife was installed in it. One day, I saw I had new software in the app store about iphoto and imovie. But I can't download it because it said to me I had to use the ID with a bought the ilife but it was installed when I bought the mac. I had been in the apple in the top of screen for download new software but it doesn't appear because I only can download in the app store. What can I do? I need the new version for Icloud but I can download it. I don't know what to do.
I recently bought a 2nd hand Macbook Air and it already had Lion installed. It didn't come with the Lion USB so I can't do a reinstall if I wanted. Now when I sign in to the App Store and try to download iPhoto or Garageband, I can't. It says something about my profile not being allowed to download it as the download is attached to another account, presumably the previous owner. So how am I able to download iPhoto? I don't mind paying for it, but it still won't let me as the only option I get is "Download".Â
I purchased a macbook pro in Dec 2011 and was told I could download software from app store (ilife, OSX, etc) for up to two other macs based on the software liscense agreement. Can anybody tell me where to find instructions on how to do this?
I reside in Spain and I've recently opened a joint account with a US resident here in Los Angeles at Charles Schwab bank. The financial consultant told us it's possible to deposit checks into schwab account through an app for iphone [URL]I've tried to download but it appears the following window: "your application has not been able to complete" and "The article you requested is not available at this time in Spanish Store, but is available in the U.S. Store. Click Change Store to view this article". If I click to change the Store from the Spanish to the American store, I have to fill the data but my ID apple is not working on the "foreign" store. What can I do? Is there a way to buy / download items from a different Itunes stores?Â
I have purchased OS X Lion from OS X 10.6.8 and all requirements. No action after clicking download.., I have purchased OS X Lion from OS X 10.6.8 and all requirements. No action after clicking download..
iPhoto using the default library will not open. I continue to get the spinning loading icon and my cursor turns into a colored circle. I created a second "test" library with a few photos and that opens.Â
Decided to install Mavericks onto my 13' Macbook Pro, which is currently at Lion right now. First tried the default download and restart to run, but ran into the problem of it saying, when trying to install OS X, "There is not enough space on this disk". I was trying to install on Macintosh HD, which had 372 gigs free..Â
The other two options had the same message, being titled "OS X Install ESD" and "disk0s1". After tearing my hair out at how incredibly non-user friendly this was, I tried the USB method, following a guide to correctly put Mavericks on a 8gig USB. Same issue, though said to try and customize it, or something. a simple download and install method doesnt work for this sort of thing. Why would t be saying 370+ gigs is not enough to install?Â

Is there a work-around so that in iPhoto, when you highlight a selection of photos and then hit Mail to email them, you can actually select Thunderbird? Right now, even though Thunderbird is my default mail app, as set in Mail, Thunderbird still isn't an option in iPhoto. There are other ways to email those photos, obviously, but iPhoto is so much easier.
Purchased a Macbook Air, one generation back from current, for a new employee. That person has now left the company, and I have re-issued the machine to a new hire. Â
While the original employee's user account was deleted, and a new user account created for the person the machine was re-issued to, some updates (i.e.: iPhoto, iMovie) still require the original user's login credentials for the app store.Â
How can I fully transfer this machine to the current user, and make their account the one that the app store requires for these updates ?Â
My Macbook Pro (Mid 2010 model, Purchase Dec 2010) was running slow recently. So I formatted the drive using Disc Utility and Re-installed OSX Mavericks.Â
I used the same Apple ID that was running on the system and product is also registered under this ID.Â
However, default softwares such as iMovie, iPhoto etc are missing from the system. I have re-tried but to no avail.Â
For example; Numbers keeps opening downloaded files intended for Quicken. I can change the program to open the download, but I can't find a way to make the change be the default.
Is it possible to change the default download folder for transferring pictures from my phone to my MacBook Pro? It is currently the Public folder. I would like to create a specific folder for the transfer of pictures, another for the transfer of files, etc.
I migrated my files to my new MacBook Pro laptop that is running on Lion. When I try to update iPhoto 11 via the app store, it keeps telling me to login to the account I used to purchase iPhoto. I never purchased iPhoto since it always had come free with my machines. In the app store it says that iPhoto is installed on my machine, but it won't let me update. I tried to download the update from the website but it ends up kicking me back to the App Store and then I'm at a dead end again since I didn't use my account to originally purchase iPhoto.Â
Bought for account # 1 app iPhoto - no more access. Deleted the app and want to go to the current account to buy a # 2 application iPhoto, but instead of "Buy now" show "Accept". App Store says you need to buy again. How to buy, if the function is missing?
i started download this app called aerofly fs from app store and some how my cat stepped on my mpc and it got restarted. After restart when i tried to resume download from app store but the button appears to say install not resume download, i clicked on install anyway but it does not respond, i mean the button turned grey for a few seconds and comes back to a blue install, nothing happened!!! later i tried to update a few apps and the same thing happens, app store was not responsive to download.
Hi guys. I've been trying to install "mac app store" on my mac for some days now. I'm pretty new on this, so I need a little help. I've installed all the available updates as far as I know, but I haven't got the app store update. When I search for new updates, it simply won't find some.
For the past few months it has been a pain trying to download from the apps store. I'm trying to reinstall some of my apps, and all I get when I hit the install button is the little round circle next to the back & forward buttons. This happens when I try to update apps also. The actual download never starts. Here's some details about my computer: MacBook Pro 17-inch, Mid 2010Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MBSoftware Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)I've logged out of all of my devices too.
I recently purchased my Macbook Pro and updated the software for the first time. iPhoto, Garageband and iMovie were made availabel to me. I recently also wiped all of my data on my partition and reinstalled Lion os x. Now when I go back to the App Store to download iPhoto and iMovie I cannot get them. All I see now is the accept word and once I click that I am asked to sign in but nothing downloads or anything and it doesnt show up under my purchases anymore. It use to but one day I was downloading these two apps and there was a x button next to them. I wanted to stop the download and so i clicked the X and now it doesnt even show up on the list.

I can't buy apps iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand there is mentioned instead of price only "accept" but when I clicked on it and wrote my Apple ID I received error message. My Mac Mini was bought from another person but fully reinstalled.Â
I am using the App Store to update iPhoto. It has frozen with "less than a minute" to go. How can I unfreeze it, or clear it and start again? I have tried closing and re-opening the app, to no avail.
I recently purchased a Macbook Air 11" (July 2011 model) which came preinstalled with Lion (can't remember the version) and iLife 11. Â
On my first boot I noticed that the Mac App Store popped up a few updates and one of the updates was iPhoto 9.2.3. When I attempted to install the update, I was prompted to first update my Mac OS as the update was not applicable to my (then) Mac OS version. Â
I promptly updated my Lion version to 10.7.3 through Software Updates and attempted the iPhoto update again - nada! Mac App Store now says: "This update is not available", "You Must have previously purchased this item ..." and then prompts me to 'buy' the item (iPhoto 11?). Â
I haven't clicked on the 'buy' button in the fear of being charged to my linked Apple ID account and I am wondering why I am supposed to buy iPhoto when my MBA came preinstalled with iLife 11.Â
