Email On IMac Stopped Receiving From All Accounts

My mail program has stopped receiving mail from the server, Cincinnati Bell, zoomtown. I have had numerous weird sent items that come back as undeliverable to people not in my contacts. When i try to log in it tells me that my password is incorrect. I tried to check on webmail and CB is saying they have locked my account for suspicous activity and i should remove the " virus" and they will reopen my account. I thought that macs did not get viruses.

Not sure why this is happening, but I'm not getting all emails on iPhones and iPads. I've had several emails addressed to my me.com address that show up on my iMac and MacBook, but never show up on our iPhones or iPads. This applies only to my me.com stuff. Even an iTunes marketing email doesn't show up on my iPhone.
I just transitioned to iCould last week and that's when it started. All devices were converted to iCloud and the iMac and MacBook are set up as IMAP accounts.

I have a Hotmail, Yahoo & iCloud account but NONE of them will send messages from my iMac or iPhone.

I am working in an office that has numerous old email accounts on the computer from past temp employees that we keep so that I can reference their communications. Since updating to Mavericks, when I add or delete accounts from Mail, the changes are restored when I restart mail or reboot the computer. How do I permenently delete or add a new account. I have done this serveral times on other computers, but this one isn't responding as it should. It was running Snow Leopard before the upgrade.

Somehow, iCloud is receiving e-mail sent to another account, a non iCloud/non-mac.com, and bringing these e-mails into my mac.com inbox. Thus, all of the duplicate e-mails pile up in my Mac account making it difficult to find mail intended for the mac.com account.How is this happening? I've checked the settings in Preferences but nowhere do I see the accounts combined.

It was working before when i had the same settings on my earlier pop server as the outgoing server but now this is not allowing me 2 add the other 2 accounts for outgoing. Says same server name so stays offline.

Up until last Thursday, I'd never had any problems using my [URL] email.I moved everything to icloud about a month ago, but this didn't seem to have any effect on things.Then suddenly, every time I try to take my mac.com online via the icon on the desktop of my iMac, it just won;t take the account online.I can still access my email via icloud online, but that's it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Entourage 2008 with an exchange server account and this morning it stopped receiving email into the inbox on my account.
Where I've set rules to move incoming emails into other folders these are still being received and re-directed, but anything that should go straight into the Inbox is not showing up.
Other mailboxes that I have added as Delegates are also functioning as they should and mail is coming into them ok.
I have access to Outlook via a VMWare image running Windows XP and there I can see all the mail coming in ok, so I am definitely being sent stuff.
Any mail I send (either from Entourage or Outlook) shows up in my Sent Items and messages I deleted in the Outlook Inbox show up in Deleted Items in Entourage.
I thought maybe there was a filter set that was restriciting the view of my Inbox to everything received yesterday and earlier, but I can't see anything. I've tried searching (both in Entourage and Spotlight) for messages I can see in the Outlook Inbox to check if they've been moved or filtered somewhere else, but they don't show up in any searches.
I'm now completely stumped! Everything was fine yesterday, but this morning nothing.
I moved from MobileMe to iCloud using the automated wizard. Since then, I've been unable to send or receive emails using Apple Mail.
I've sent emails to my .me account from Gmail 12 hours ago but it hasn't arrived. Sending emails from my .me account results in the following error message "The server returned the error: The server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” refused to allow a connection on port 143."

My Mail application stopped receiving new emails at 5:48 PM yesterday for some reason. I have several Gmail accounts, one iCloud account and one Yahoo account.
I can send emails without a problem, but I'm not receiving any. I checked Activity, and it shows that the program is "fetching new mail" from every single account (it even says how many messages), but for some reason they are not getting through.
I have recently upgraded from Mobile Me to iCloud on my Macbook Pro as it was reminding me that MobileMe ends soon. Howveer, I would like to keep Entourage 2008 as my default mail server on my Macbook Pro, but it has switched everything to iCloud.

I'm using Mail 3.6 on OS 10.5.8. I have three email accounts I manage through Mail. My main email account has stopped receiving emails. I can still send but not receive. My other two email accounts both send and receive just fine.
Mail had prompted me to import messages after a restart right before this account stopped receiving mails. All of the emails (from all three accounts) imported successfully and I'm sure what prompted Mail having to reimport emails in the first place. This main email account had grown quite large, around 46,000 messages and I've since got that number down to 28,000.

My iMessage stopped receiving messages sent to my phone number. I can only send and receive using my apple ID which is my email address. It use to be where my phone and laptop were completely synced now its either have a conversation on my phone or on my computer.

I am trying to verify my new apple id. I have ensured that my email address is correct, and have gotten the notification, both from the Ipad and from a desktop that a verification email has been sent. But I have never received one. I would really like to be able to utilize this for work.

Is anyone else having problems with the email? I am not receiving any emails, nor can I send anything out. Spent 30 minutes on online chat last night with someone most unhelpful, only to be told that the reason I'm not receiving anything is because my email is being forwarded to another address. I set my preferences to do that several years ago when this mac.com/me.com server began having so many issues, to ensure I was receiving email so I could check from my other address. The only comment I got was well, we no longer support 10.4.1 so there isn't anything we can do to help you. The status update says 33% of their customers are unable to migrate. So I'm pretty sure I'm not alone and that is a pretty large base of customers to no longer provide support to. Is anyone else who has not migrated to iCloud experiencing these email problems? Currently my iDisk works to transfer my larger files, but my email does not.

I'm using Mac mail. I have a hotmail acct that I use MBOX mail as a go-between between it and Mac Mail so I can use IMAP and get me hotmail folders etc. It's working great escept for the fact that sometimes there are long delays where I don't receive emails that are coming in. Sometime not even when I click "get mail." I have to right click on the account and click "get info." That will start showing all the data on the account and usually bring in the new emails that have been sitting there for a while.

This did not happen before we recently upgraded our phone software, maybe thats involved, maybe not. I have checked and it appeears all of the boxes are unchecked that say "send email when there's a change". She is making the changes on her Macbook Pro.

I have a mobileme account with a further 3 names added using mail only. Because of legacy I cannot move to OS Lion at the moment. Can we still use our mac.com/me.com email addresses after June without signing up to icloud. If one or more of the email only account holders update to Lion and icloud, can they transfer their emai accounts without the main account holder doing so. If we all have other apple devices ie iphone and ipads, and sign up to icloud, can we then use our mobile me mail addresses also on our OS Leopard macs.
