View 1 Replies View RelatedI wanted to set up an email separate email account for myself and my wife on our new Macbook. However, while there are 2 mailboxes, all the mail is "lumped" together. Not what was intended. I must point out I'm an absolute new switcher from XP. Delighted with the Macbook Air but bewidered by the software. Really, I cannot believe it's not possible to have multiple email accounts.

Can i set up an iCloud account and keep my own email account?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have two POP email accounts that have been working quite well on my MacBook for several months. About a week ago one of them stopped receiving emails. I have deleted the account and set it up again to no avail. If I check the account information it lists all the emails on the server. I can open it on my browser and the mail is being delivered just fine there - just not on my imail account. The two email accounts that I have are set up the same and only one is receiving mail.

My website host says spam is being sent out from my computer over my private email account and I should scan my computer for virus or malware. Which app should I use? I checked my Macbook Air, iPad and iPhone and none show any emails being sent other than the few I have sent. Website host says they are coming from my computer and going through his server.Â

I have more than one email account set up on Mail and the strangest thing happens and I can't find out how to stop it.
Here is the problem:
- I have 2 accounts, 'Account A' is for my partner & 'Account B' is for me.
- Someone sends an email to 'Account A' (my partner) and CCs 'Account B' (me) into the same eMail.
- If I click reply from 'Account B' it sends the eMail from 'Account A' which is my partner, when it should be from me.
I have worked out that this is because 'Account A' was originally sent the eMail in The 'To' field as opposed to the 'CC' field in composing the reply eMail. I know that I can manually change the 'From' field every time when replying to an eMail but it becomes an nuisance. I forget to do it when quickly replying as I consider Mail to reply from the account that I'm reading the email from.
I have gone to the compose section in the preferences and there is an option for changing this when composing a new email but nothing when replying.
We have lost the email icons in the left of mail for the separate accounts?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAs of last a few days ago, AOL has officially banned my account for a ludicrous reason; they said I was in breach of some sort of age restriction. Anyway, now I use g-mail, and everything's been great, besides the fact that my old AOL account was what I used to set up every online account I've ever made, including my Apple Account. How would I switch my account email address without any current access to my old one?

Instead it asks me to open new mail account. I can find the emails on my hard drive but when I click on them...goes to same window to open and asks to open new mail acct. How can I recover and have access to my mail account?

mac.com is my current email provider. When MobileMe was created, my .mac account was merged (? probably not the correct word, but hopefully you get the idea) with MobileMe, and I could receive mail addressed to myusername@mac.com and/or myusername@me.com. When MobileMe goes away will I still be able to send and receive my email at myusername@mac.com?

I have to refer to my emails quite a lot in my job and it will be rather frustrating to have some one one machine and the rest on the other. Oue email server is POP only.
