So I just recently purchased a Mac mini and I started putting my music all into the computer. I logged into my Apple ID and it works fine, but every time I try to update my apps, I get an error code 5002. I thought to myself, "well, this is a Mac, so I know its not a firewall blocking the internet or anything in particular". So I went ahead and tried updating my iTunes Match account while I Googled for the error code 5002. When I updated iTunes Match, it looked as if it was gathering information when all of a sudden, it stops and gives me an error code -50. It said "Genius results can't be updated right now. An unknown error occured (-50). So then I immediately started to worry. I plugged in my iPhone 4S (for the first time) and decided that once in sync mode, it will just update my apps so I don't have to worry about downloading it on my Mac. Well, that is when I received an error code 1008. It wanted me to authotize my computer and when entered my credentials, it said it couldn't authorize it and when I cancelled the process, it gave me the error code 1008. So... I am stuck in a rut since I've spent almost an entire week trying to figure this out with no solution. I have tried signing out and signing back in and nothing. I also restarted my wireless router and no luck. I can't afford to create a new account since I've always had the same Apple ID and I have a BUNCH of media that I have purchased through iTunes, so creating a new Apple ID is out of the question. I can't sync my iPhone, I can't update iTunes Match, and I can't update my apps. I am currently using the 800 dollar Mac Mini.
Trying to install Dreamweaver MX2004 on the only computer I own that I can still run the program on - 10.4.11 MacBook with plenty of space - and I get this error message.
Of course there is no way, other than spending countless hours of reading thousands of posts and millions of worthless nonsense, to find any help on Adobe (Price per share, $36.37 as of 12.07, "Have I resolved all your issues?").
Any idea as to what's going on? It was on another computer...I may be able to do a Firewire move of the software...if I can relaunch, but I think I removed it from the other computer already. I ran disk utility, as suggested on another forum where I trolled for about an hour.
I have a Mid 2010 15" Macbook Pro, core i7 processor, 1.5TB HD, and 8GB of Ram
In November it started having problems with a gray screen with folder and question mark. I defragged and re-optimized the volumes of the hard drive and everything was fine. I have tried reinstalling both ram chips twice. It worked fine for a few weeks and then I started getting beeps and error codes. I can startup fine but after using for a minute or two the screen freezes and three beeps start. Othertimes a panic code will come up too.
I've attached the panic codes in images.
Error Code – panic cpu 2 caller 0xffffff000b2dca29
***Are the Ram chips bad? Or is there an issue with the Logic Board
Today I ran AHT version 3A134 on my MacBook Pro Penryn 2.5GHz (early 2008) it came out with error codes:
4MOT/1/40000002: Right side-2893 on 1st extended test result, 4MOT/1/40000002: Right side-3017 on 2nd extended test.
When I initially ran the short test no error code was resulted from the test, only by the extended tests the errors occurred. I have my machine's limited warranty until June 2009. Could you please tell me what are the error codes refer to?
After migrating my old iMac to my new one, every time I start iTunes, I get the following message: "We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (4002).
When I attempt to upgrade I get an error message, "Could not purchase "iTunes Plus Upgrade". An unknown error occured (1004)." This has occurred over the last few days and after restarting.
after installing the latest itunes update march 8th 2012 an error started to show that said error saving itunes library cannot be saved error (-54) or something like that.im using OSX Lion
I have been trying to download the app Remote from iTunes for the past two weeks without success. I had Remote installed and happily working, but earlier in the month the latest Remote update was probably broken and the app cannot be updated or re-downloaded from iTunes, the error I get is 408.
I am experiencing this both on my mac mini running Lion 10.7 and my iphone running iOS 5.1
i made a site in iweb 08 [URL] and i inserted an html snippet for some javascript. when viewed on internet explorer, the pages that have the snippet don't load properly and the code shows at the top of the page. how do i get rid of this? also, the links are a different font than the font i originally used and the colors are completely different from one browser to another. is there anyway to fix this?i want to say that i am a bit inexperienced with web. i have a little dream weaver experience and this site, while easy, was pretty ambitious for me. i may have put the javascript incorrectly but i'm not sure.
I know my coding is perfect, I used to work on the pc with it. Now moving to a Mac... I'm having such difficulty its starting to frustrate me. I've googled ways to solve it and they all say change the rich text and so on so forth. I've done that yet no change has occured for me. When I bought this, I asked if I could do my codes on it and the guy said yes, that I could do it straight from my textedit.
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
NB: First mac...When I first put a DVD into my mac (DVD and mac both from Australia) I was asked to set my region code - fair enough. Then, I inserted another dvd, from Australia again. I had to reset my region code. I was alarmed to find that I could only set my region code 5 times...I know of alternatives such as VLC that ignore region coding, but none of these offer the tight integration that Apple's DVD player does.A quick google search also revealed the possibilities of installing a region-free drive, and using a utility called RegionX, which resets OSX's region change counter (only with region-free drives...). Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of extra optical drive bays, as with the Mac Pro...
When I am using programs like 'Finder' and I'm trying to select different options, for some reason the words such as, 'Arrange by', 'Date created' etc have all changed to number and letter codes, I don't know how I've done this or how to change it back. They all still work if you select them, I just can't read what I'm selecting.
When I turn it on it comes up with the white screen and then the apple logo shows and then the loading symbol comes. The screen then goes blue for about 30 seconds and then the screen goes black. Code starts to come up...Here's some detail on my IMac: 17" 1.83Ghz
Is there a piece of software out there that can allow me to find out the key codes of keys that aren't normally on a keyboard. Or a way to figure them out?Or even better, would be a piece of software that allows me to use my multimedia keys on my macbook. The link below is the keyboard and the buttons I am talking about are the six small, circular ones to the right at the top of the keyboard.
Alright I just picked up a new Macbook Pro from school today, and all my apps keep crashing, Safari, Chrome, System Preferences, you name it..... I've done a bit of search on the two codes I'm seeing and guess it might be the NuRam (8gb) I just put into it. Just wondering if there is anyway I can test the ram before I call them up? Just as a heads up these are the codes I'm seeing: Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS
I think I may have this Java Trojan virus that many have been talking about, in which the most common attribute of it is that it makes my Finder display folder names as N80, N81, etc.... in replacement of titles such as 'Open Finder' and 'Empty Trash'?I have tried a few things, such as Repair Disk Permissions, restarting, and logging off, but to no success.
to two blue screens.. I was told to Re install.. "archive and install" to be specific .. Snow leopard.. In a tragic fire i lost alot of things.. one of which was my key code to abletonlive.. If i archive and install snow leopard again to fix my boot up problem.. Will it ask me for a keycode for abletonlive?.. Or will all my applications run as they did prior to having my boot up problem, after archive and install is ran with snowleopard again
I have a question about how time machine deals with programs. I am rethinking my backup solution because my 17MBP has had its HDD replaced three times. I have been running winclone for my windows partition and it is simply amazing. I was wondering if I back up from time machine, do all of my programs fall back into place perfectly with serial codes, etc. maintained? I ask because I am in the process of choosing the automated TM backups, or just doing CC clones myself because of how simple it is to restore a backup from a clone.
I am a new mac user (total convert--am on my second iMac in a month and am about to buy a macbook), and am having trouble with my itunes service. My first 24" iMac developed a clicking HDD, so I was lucky enough to be able to bring it back to the shop for a replacement iMac. I made a time machine backup of the first Mac and copied directly to the second one (which was flawless....how come I haven't been using macs prior to now? I've lost dozens of backups on PC). The only issue I've had is with iTunes--I keep getting an error that the iTunes library is newer than the version of iTunes on the computer. Is there anyway to fix this without losing my entire library of songs? I did make up a physical copy of the iTunes folder on my first Mac, just in case, so I assume that I could delete iTunes and reinstall a fresh copy, update it, and then copy the iTunes folder over to the new version. But this is a Windows approach to the issue and there is probably a simpler way of fixing this. Alternately, I could do the same but sync my iPod and copy everything to my library that way.
error message: itunes library .itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version. I downloaded and in stalled the latest version of itunes and it did not help.
