My iphone won't sync past step 5 where in sync photo's. I have reset my phone and all that has done is lost my apps, photo's and music. The error message I'm getting is 1723

Since then my PC broke and now I have a macbook pro and the macbook doesn't recognize all the pictures from my pc. I recently replaced the HD in my MacBook Pro. Just after, I retrieved my old files from the Time Machine backup, which I made just before the replacement. During the first sync of my iPhone via iTunes and while I was trying to sync my contacts I saw the message "iTunes could not sync contacts to iPhone because an error occurred while committing data". After that, I lost my iPhone contacts (I have them only from iCloud). The only problem is contacts, all the others (Calendars, Apps) are normally syncing.

iPhone 6 and Macbook Pro with iTunes. Both are current with software updates as of 12/11/2014 When running sync or backup I get an error message that the iPhone has disconnected. Both are on the same network and are connected together with a USB cable. Last successful backup was prior to iTunes upgrade on 12/9. Today I successfully backed up my iPhone to a windows machine with the latest version of iTunes, no problems. Seems the Mac version is the issue not the iPhone. I was going to uninstall iTunes and reinstall it on the Mac but I could get it to uninstall. iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2

It asks for my password, I type it in but it does not proceed to the next step. It would be great if anyone can assist me with this issue.

I had to get a new iPhone 4 today because I dropped the old one in water.When I go to set up the new phone, I have the option to restore from my backup from about a week ago. So I did that...it restores the phone and then usually it goes to the page where you can see the contents of your iPhone and sync music and apps. I can't get past the restore "Set Up Your iPhone" page. I called Apple Support and they do not understand what I'm trying to say and keep telling me to restore my phone. I DID 5 TIMES! It won't let me go beyond that option screen.

I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

I recently discovered this issue that iTunes wouldn't sync lyrics over to my iPhone for some tracks.
I transferred all my music to this computer, and also authorized it. Whenever I hook up my iPhone to my computer, it appears in iTunes and the iPhone sync page opens, but when I push "sync" nothing happens. Why does my phone not sync to my iTunes now?

I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I cannot get my IPhone 4S to sync with itunes without deleting more than half of my data. I have authorized the computer already and I went through and checked all the boxes for the information I wanted to sync - but the info will not transfer and about half of my Apps were removed from my phone (without being added to itunes on the computer) - I had to go back and reinstall the ones I lost to my phone.

Ever since upgrading to iTunes 10.6.1 on Mac running Lion (10.7.3), my iPhone 4S will no longer Wi-fi sync. On the iPhone, going to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-fi Sync shows "Sync Now" as greyed out with the message that it will sync the next time my Mac is on even though the Mac is on and has iTunes running. The iPhone does not appear in the Devices list in iTunes unless I plug it in via USB. Once the iPhone is syncs over USB, I am able to Wi-fi sync properly until I shutdown or restart the Mac then I have the same problem again.
