My iphone originally was linked to my PC. I downloaded over 3,000 pictures from my PC to my iphone. Since then my PC broke and now I have a macbook pro and the macbook doesn't recognize all the pictures from my pc. I get the following message.-iTunes cannot sync photos to the iPhone "Daniel's iPhone" because you do not have write access to the folder "iChat Icons".

I recently replaced the HD in my MacBook Pro. Just after, I retrieved my old files from the Time Machine backup, which I made just before the replacement. During the first sync of my iPhone via iTunes and while I was trying to sync my contacts I saw the message "iTunes could not sync contacts to iPhone because an error occurred while committing data". After that, I lost my iPhone contacts (I have them only from iCloud). The only problem is contacts, all the others (Calendars, Apps) are normally syncing.

iPhone 6 and Macbook Pro with iTunes. Both are current with software updates as of 12/11/2014 When running sync or backup I get an error message that the iPhone has disconnected. Both are on the same network and are connected together with a USB cable. Last successful backup was prior to iTunes upgrade on 12/9. Today I successfully backed up my iPhone to a windows machine with the latest version of iTunes, no problems. Seems the Mac version is the issue not the iPhone. I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I have recently added some pictures and new albums to iPhoto. Then I sync my iPhone4S OS 5.1 (9B179) with iTunes 10.6 on OSX 10.7.3 but my new albums and photos get not copied to the iPhone. On the iPhone there are 3.8 GB available and the pictures are just 30MB. The albums on the iTunes sync panel are well checked. I can see even the amount of pictures to copy at the right side of the album name (19). I have repaired the permissions of my boot disk?

I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.

I have my iMac here which I use to Sync my iPhone 6 Plus - This iMac 'belongs' to my iPhone 6 plus if you know what I mean..
Now a friend of mine who does not own a computer, just bought an iPhone 6 and wants to move all the photos form his old iPhone 4S to the new Phone..
So.. I imported all his Photos to iPhoto on my iMac.
Now when I open up iTunes on my iMac it immediately says to me 'Welcome to you new iPhone'.. and wants me to continue.
What do I do from here? I want to use iTunes to move all the photos from the iPhoto event I created to his new phone and this is a one off..
Is it possible to do this without messing up any future syncing between my own iMac and Phone??
Or is there some other way I can get his Photos from iPhoto on to his Phone? I am assuming that iTunes is the only way without of course having to deal with third party apps.

I have deleted all my photos from iPhone 4 but iTunes still shows that I have 981 photos taking up 1.75GB of space. The reason for my deleting the photos, after I moved them to the cloud, was to save space.
