Ever since upgrading to iTunes 10.6.1 on Mac running Lion (10.7.3), my iPhone 4S will no longer Wi-fi sync. On the iPhone, going to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-fi Sync shows "Sync Now" as greyed out with the message that it will sync the next time my Mac is on even though the Mac is on and has iTunes running. The iPhone does not appear in the Devices list in iTunes unless I plug it in via USB. Once the iPhone is syncs over USB, I am able to Wi-fi sync properly until I shutdown or restart the Mac then I have the same problem again.
I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.
I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes. It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â
I have a new-to-me MacBook (running Lion) and I just downloaded all my music into iTunes. I had been sync'd with an old PC laptop previously. If I choose to sync my iPhone (4S) with iTunes on the MacBook, will it delete my apps and data (as the warning in iTunes leads me to believe)? I do use iCloud backup on the iPhone, and I've got all kinds of apps installed (and arranged to my liking). What's the best way to have my music sync with the MacBook without having to reinstall my apps?Â
My Iphone recently got stolen and I am now using my friends old iPhone. I was wondering how I can sync my friends iPhone to my iTunes so that this iPhone I'm using now gets synced with all my contacts, photos, apps, music etc. I am hesitant to click on 'sync' and 'restore' because my friends old iPhone still has his stuff on it and I don't want to lose my stuff on my iTunes.
I transferred all my music to this computer, and also authorized it. Whenever I hook up my iPhone to my computer, it appears in iTunes and the iPhone sync page opens, but when I push "sync" nothing happens. Why does my phone not sync to my iTunes now?
For some reason some of my iTunes music won't sync to my iPhone 4. All my software is up to date and I have the playlists I want copied over as you would if you wanted to add them to the phone's library. Maybe my settings are wrong or something. A few screenshots are attached for your convenience.
Mac Book Pro 15-inch, Early 2011 Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50d)iTunes 10.5.3 ( can't update because where I am at the network is too slow)iPhone 4 iOS 5.01 (can't update same as above) HDD corrupted a week ago. Reinstalled fresh copy of Lion and started over. I did not do a complete restore of what I had because I wanted to clean it up anyways.... I have a complete Time Machine backup though.  So now when I go to sync my iPhone it wants to erase it because it says its sync to another computer. I already copied all my media back to iTunes from backups.Â
Just upgraded my computers to Lion 10.7.3. All went well until I tried to sync my iPhone 3GS (iOS 5.1). Sync starts normally, then iTunes crashes during the "Photos" step of sync. Tried rebooting.
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.16 GHz; 3GB RAM
I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I cannot get my IPhone 4S to sync with itunes without deleting more than half of my data. I have authorized the computer already and I went through and checked all the boxes for the information I wanted to sync - but the info will not transfer and about half of my Apps were removed from my phone (without being added to itunes on the computer) - I had to go back and reinstall the ones I lost to my phone.
My iPod touch and iPhone cannot be synced with my iTunes. This is not an issue with my USB ports or cord as the computer recognizes the devices are plugged in and begins charging them. I've updated everything and restarted, nothing is working.
When trying to sync my imac itunes to iphone 4s, i keep getting message that i have to download itunes 10.5 or later, ive done this to the mac but do not see how to do with the phone?
Whenever I try to sync my iphone 4S, the same thing happens. I get a message saying that I don't have enough storage. I'm not sure why as I don't have a lot of apps. I actually have enough storage in my ICLOUD account but it is not recognizing it even after I changed the settings to automatically back up it to ICLOUD.
I have 9 ringtones in I Tunes and I have it set to sync all tones to my I Phone. However, when I go into the Sound Settings on my I Phone, only 5 of my ringtones are there. How can I get the rest onto my phone?
My ipad or iphone will not sync with my Macbook pro. This is the first "windoze" type I have ever had with an apple product. Been using them since Mac SE.Â
Itunes hangs if opened but does not hang if I connect as a guest on my macbook. I have deleted libraries, reinstalled Itune but nothing changes.
when i hook up my phone to my mac book pro it charges so i know i has a good connection. But when i check in my iTunes to sync my device it does not even show up. my phone is runniong iOS 7.1.2, and my mac is running os x 10.9.4, i just had to reformat my mac so i know every thing is up to date.
Info: MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), iphone 5c iOS 7.1.2 not syncing
my iPhone will not sync with my iTunes over WiFi - I had my phone stolen and now have a new one and for some reason it won't sync over wifi. I have tried unchecking the box, applying it and checking it again and I've tried renaming my phone too.
Second problem is that I got a load of new music and when I synced it, everything went onto my iPhone except for one album - it was a musical score and I already had a couple of songs on the phone but decided to get the whole album. Everything else has synced fine except this one album.Â
Finally, when I synced my music to my new phone some of the album artwork does not show up on my phone (it did on my previous phone). When I actually tap on the artist to play the songs, the artwork does show, so it's obviously on the phone. But when there is just a list of artists, some of the artwork doesn't show. Â
The past week my iTunes hasn't been syncing all songs to my iPhone 4. They all appear in the list of "On this iPhone", but not all are synced. I have tried restarting iTunes and my phone. I have tried a hard reset. I have tried reinstalling iTunes on my computer. I have tried completely resetting my phone (and lost all my apps, as apparently, they hadn't been syncing to my iTunes as I thought they had after getting them on my phone).I have deleted everything on my phone, and tried to "Manage music manually". It now gets to where it starts copying the music onto my phone, but it still doesn't copy everything. I've done all this with Find my iPhone switched off because that was an issue for some. I have no Voice Memos (some suggested these may cause the problem). Â
I've completely lost it now. Important things in my apps are now all gone at the cost of this, and nothing works yet. This is ridiculous. Does it have to do with my iTunes library?
Since a few days ago I am unable to sync my iphone 5s with itunes on Macbook pro.
As soon as I open itunes, it hangs. it doesn't give me the opportunity to disable or enable the syncing, it hangs immediately. I have also tried removing itunes from Mac to re-install, but it does allow me to remove itiunes as "OSx requires itunes".
I never had any replies to my initial post and I'm still having the same issues with my Macbook Pro, iTunes and my iPhone. After sync, I'm seeing on some albums the album artwork and full track listings but the audio won't play on my iPhone. However, the same tracks play fine using iTunes on the MBP. Anyone come across this before and/or have any ideas how to solve the problem?
