Just upgraded my computers to Lion 10.7.3. All went well until I tried to sync my iPhone 3GS (iOS 5.1). Sync starts normally, then iTunes crashes during the "Photos" step of sync. Tried rebooting.

Upgraded to OS 10.7.3 this week and also to iTunes 10.6. ITunes will function until attempting to sync with iPhone 4 (os 5.1) then it will crash. Have reinstalled iTunes but no difference.

I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to iTunes 10.6 in a normal mac software update yesterday Now I cannot sync any of my devices. 2 iPhone 4Ss and 1 iPad 1st gen.Whenever I connect a device to sync, iTunes 'crashes unexpectedly' I had to turn of wifi on the iPhone because wifi syncing caused the itunes to crash. I noticed my streaming music kept quitting and figured out it was the syncing that caused the 'unexpected quit's.
Music not playing is a minor inconvenience, but not syncing is a major problem in my household; where we share lots of info via sync.I did notice there was an iOS 5.1 upgrade available for all my devices, and was able to install it on iPhone 1 and the iPad, but I cannot upgrade my wife's iPhone because I need to free up some space on it which requires, you guessed it, attaching it to my mac to access sync preferences.

I've tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing the computer, deleting the com.apple.iTunes.plist file, restarting, connecting at different times... nothing seems to work. I've got the most recent updates on both iTunes and iphone. iTunes works fine on its own, but just gives me the spinning ball whenever I connect my iphone.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been attempting to sync my iPod touch for a while now, everytime I do it crashes just as it begins the actual sync section.
Only recently i noticed the error message "searching for movie data in file..." I have searched through finder and my external harddrives and time machine and this file doesn't actually exist.
The error message does have a cancel and a search button on it but i am unable to press them as all i get is the spinning pinwheel of death when i hover over the itunes window.
It's really really frustrating is there a way of telling itunes not to looking or sync this file before i actually sync my ipod.
Since upgarding to itunes 11.2 When ever I plug my iphone in to sync or even have it on the same netwrok to auto sync via wifi. My itunes crashes and I have to force quit the application. I have tried reinstalling itunes but this hasnt worked. I get this script in my console  Â

Itunes used to work fine, but now crashes every time I plug my iphone in. It gets partway through the sync, then quits with no error message. If I stop the syncing, itunes is fine. If I then select my iphone in the left hand column, iTunes crashes. My iphone is set to wirelessly sync. Am I supposed to affect any change if itunes won't allow me to change any syncing settings. Really, if it is wireless, it needs to be configured from the phone, not itunes...

I tried to use the request feature in iTunes DJ, which allows others connected to your wifi to request upcoming songs using the remote app for iPhone and iPad. iTunes will quit unexpectedly once more than 1 person has connected to make a request. is there a way to limit how many devices can connect at the same time?Â

I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

I have authorized the computer already and I went through and checked all the boxes for the information I wanted to sync - but the info will not transfer and about half of my Apps were removed from my phone (without being added to itunes on the computer) - I had to go back and reinstall the ones I lost to my phone.

My iPod touch and iPhone cannot be synced with my iTunes. This is not an issue with my USB ports or cord as the computer recognizes the devices are plugged in and begins charging them. I've updated everything and restarted, nothing is working.

Ever since upgrading to iTunes 10.6.1 on Mac running Lion (10.7.3), my iPhone 4S will no longer Wi-fi sync. On the iPhone, going to Settings > General > iTunes Wi-fi Sync shows "Sync Now" as greyed out with the message that it will sync the next time my Mac is on even though the Mac is on and has iTunes running. The iPhone does not appear in the Devices list in iTunes unless I plug it in via USB. Once the iPhone is syncs over USB, I am able to Wi-fi sync properly until I shutdown or restart the Mac then I have the same problem again.
