When I try to open the itunes store on my mac, all it does is display a blank white page. My apple ID is displayed correctly, but I can't access any new material on the itunes store.

When viewing pretty much any artist page on the iTunes store, I get the attached message. Why or how to resolve it? It's nothing show stopping, just a bit annoying.

The part that tells you how many albums you have, the total playing time, and size. Currently, this is displayed with the European system of using commas instead of points as the decimal separators. I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure it used to have points and then a few days ago, it switched on me. I noticed it after I installed an update. Is there a way of changing it back?

Found out that when I installed Flip 4 Mac I also installed silverlight. Uninstalled Flip 4 Mac but siverlight remains and will not uninstall. Also silverlight just comes up as a white page in my Applications folder, not its traditional logo. I have seen the posts on silverlight but is it really needed for my mac? If not how do I get it off.

I noticed I have one small pixel that seems extremely bright, particularly when viewing a web page with a white background. I do not see any problems with the pixel when on a dark background. I think I can live with one weird pixel problem, but in case I wanted to exchange my Air for one that does not have a pixel issue, will the Apple store allow it? Also, what's the likelihood that the Apple store would have the "ultimate" version of the 11.6"? If they do not and I have to order a new one, do they allow me to continue using my current one until the new one arrives (similar to what Dell does for their customers)?

My home page on MacBook Pro is NY Times. The home page does not fill the space. There are white space margins of approximately 1 inch on both sides of the page. Shouldn't the home page fill the entire space with no white empty margins? How to correct?

I have a Mac Pro with a 23 inch cinema attached. I want my applications to be full size. I drag the right hand corner down and it goes full size BUT as soon as I change a page within that application it goes back to almost max (just above the dock. Its as if the dock is pushing the page higher. When I click on the minimise and then click to open it opens again at almost full size just above the dock. When I click on the green resize maximise button it goes back to where it was and stays there.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI actually don't know how long I've had this problem, as I just sort of noticed it one day (it's not all that readily apparent). The title of this thread basically says it all. There's a "fuzzy," thin white(ish)/translucent band that stretches horizontally across my 15'' glossy MacBook Pro display (purchased in early 2010, so I guess it's considered a mid 2009 model), about an inch up from the bottom of the bezel. It's only super noticeable on top of relatively neutral colors. I'm quite certain that it's a hardware issue, as it doesn't appear in screenshots. I've attached a photograph to this thread so you can see it for yourself.. the band I'm talking about is just above the mouse pointer (and clearly my dock is hidden so you can see it easier). If there are any hardware savvy people here, I'd be most appreciative if you could clue me in to the exact nature of the problem, and whether or not you think I could fix it myself... I think my basic 1 year warranty is still good, but I haven't decided if the problem is worth living without my mac for a few days (or weeks? this is my first apple computer, so I don't know how long repairs typically take).

The max resolution I can set the macbook to run at is 1280 X 800 and the Cinema display looks all blocky and not good - I know the macbook is not capable of running the 30" displays native resolution of 2560 X 1600 but I thought DVI could go up to 1600 X 1200? I installed the 30" cinema display software / drivers - Is there anything else I can do in Tiger to increase the maximum external display resolution?
View 10 Replies View Relatedjust bought a 09 white macbook to upgrade from ibook 1.42ghz i use an iiyama 22" external display to use sibelius. this screen was working well with the older ibook, picture was fine(used screen span doctor driver). but when connecting monitor to new white macbook the display has a slight shimmer and shakey, its v difficult to read notation on this. for the iiyama screen the best resolution is 1680 x1050. when macbook is in sleep mode this resolution ( 1680 x1050 ) is automatically on the iiyama screen, but the quality is inferior to the older ibook. setting monitor at 1280 x960 stops shake but distorts the picture. anyone know why im having this issue on a brand new macbook? is it to do with having to use a DVI to VGA connecter on the new macbook?

I have noticed a white line (photo 1) on the top of my retina display (MacBook Pro 13" retina mid 2014) when I open the Launchpad. In other conditions the line seems to be absent. For example, if I run App Exposé (photo 2), I don't notice any line on the top of the screen. Is it a normal behavior for the retina display? Is it a hardware or software issue?

Click Change Store to view this article". If I click to change the Store from the Spanish to the American store, I have to fill the data but my ID apple is not working on the "foreign" store. On 6 th April my BT homehub2 updated it's firmware and that's when the problems started. Broadband went down completely and powerlineadapters adapters for bt vision fried. After 2 telephone support calls we eventually got the home hub reset and connected to broadband. Bt supplied two new powerlineadapters and bt vision is now working. Laptop, iPhones and iPad (and bt vision) all connect fine and work completely well.
My iMac running OS X 10.7.3, appears to work in that it connects no problem to home hub and when you run diagnostics it says your Internet connection appears to be working normally... However I cannot get a web page to load - I have tried chrome, Firefox and safari. The bizarre thing is using Outlook I can send and receive email, also my apple devices are still syncing via the iCloud - that would suggest that the iMac is indeed connecting wirelessly to the router and sending and receiving data - just no web pages at all - also it can't connect to things like iTunes store or apples app store... Everything was working fine until the firmware update!
Also may/may not be related but when I log in now I always have to manually connect to router, it always connects fine but it used to do it automatically, also recently upgraded to Lion and I have my doubts there too?

every now and then when clicking a website, nothing will happen, with "Done" in the lower left corner appearing. And upon refreshing, the site will open? Or sometimes the "Done" thing will persist for a min or so and then you could finally open the website?Also, sometimes Firefox won't display all the ads and pics on a page properly, but after a min or so, when refreshing, it will be back to normal again..
