Applications :: Firefox Won't Display All The Adds And Pics On A Page Properly

every now and then when clicking a website, nothing will happen, with "Done" in the lower left corner appearing. And upon refreshing, the site will open? Or sometimes the "Done" thing will persist for a min or so and then you could finally open the website? Also, sometimes Firefox won't display all the ads and pics on a page properly, but after a min or so, when refreshing, it will be back to normal again..

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Suddenly Safari Won't Load Page While Chrome And Firefox Can
I’ll try to be as specific as I can. I’m running Safari 5.1.7

From time to time, Safari seems to encounter a problem with opening https (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure). Either the page won’t open or the page will take deveral minutes to load (like four minutes to load Twitter home page).

When it happens, it seems to cause Safari the misbehave with any other page: Safari becomes in effect broken. Meanwhile, pages load normally in Chrome or Firefox.

Sometimes, restarting the computer will fix the problem (for a while), but sometime it doesn’t. I’ve also tried to empty Safari’s cache and flush its DNS. It doesn’t always work. I coming here because I restarted by computer half an hour ago and pages are still loading in Safari.

Other valuable information:

1) The problem with https existed prior to me upgrading to 5.1.7

2) I can be using Safari for days before I encounter the problem

3) I usually work with thre or four windows open, each loaded with about ten tabs.

Applications :: Safari And Firefox Not Loading Properly?
i bought a 15 inch mbp 8 months ago and will never look back. however, recently my safari browser has stopped working properly. when i try to load pages they will stop part way or not load at all. i will have to reload the page several times usually, just to see one page. i downloaded firefox to see if this would work better but it has the same issues. now i am at a standstill going back and fourth between the two browsers trying to check my email and face book once a day, which is annoying because of how long this takes, especially when it doesn't work at all. i think my computer may have a virus but i don't know a whole lot about computers

IDVD (iLife 09/11) :: Burned Properly But Won't Play Properly In DVD Player
I successfully burned a DVD+R in iDVD. The problem is, when I insert the disc into any of my Mac, DVD Player automatically launches but only shows a black window (at 4:3 ration rather thean the proper 16:9). No button pushing will get the disc to play unless.... I go to the "Open DVD Media" option in the file menu of DVD Player, and point it at the Video_TS folder in the DVD. As soon as I point DVD Player to the Video_TS folder, DVD Player's window resizes to 16:9 and the disc begins playing properly.

Info as to how I burned the disc. I had unsuccessfully attempted burning this DVD several times from within iDVD 7, I kept getting the well-documented Multiplex error. Since I have no chapters or any of the other typical causes of the multiplex error, I Finally I told iDVD to just create the Video_TS folder without burning a disc. This worked, then I inserted a blank DVD+R, dragged and dropped the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders, and chose to burn in the Finder. From within the Finder, the disc appeared to burn correctly. That said, I can't get it to actually play properly on any Mac unless I tell DVD Player to "Open DVD Media".

Applications :: Can't Access Linkedin Website - Page Won't Load?
A few months ago I was persuaded to set-up a "Linkedin" account which I did. To begin with it seemed to be working fine and I steadly started to build up my profile.

But in the past month, whenever I log in, the site just hangs. I either get a blank white page or the browser just never finishes downloading the page.

I've tried Safari 3, Safari 4 Beta, Firefox, Camino and Opera web browsers. I've also fired up Parallels desktop and tried accessing the site through Internet Explorer 7 and the PC versions of Chrome and Firefox. Again, I can't get beyond my Linkedin homepage before the site freezes on me.

I've tried accessing the site on my new iMac, and eMac and iBook on the same network.

I'm using an Airport Extreme base station (UFO type) which is configured to use Open DNS.

I do not have this problem with any other websites and I've done all the basic stuff like deleting cookies, resetting Safari, fixing disk permissions etc. to no avail. Other people I've spoken to (other Mac users) don't seem to have the same problem I do.

Under normal circumstance I would have contacted Linkedin to request technical support, but alas, the contact page wont load!

Applications :: Scroll In Firefox 3.0/page Jumps Two Or Three Sections
That is, if I'm reading an article, and I put the cursor at the bottom of the scroll bar, and click once, Firefox will scroll two or three sections sometimes. This is very annoying, and didn't happen in Firefox 2.0. To clarify, I'm reading, and I click once, and want the page to jump down one section, and instead it jumps two or three. I've experimented with autoscrolling on/off, and this doesn't help the problem. Should I switch back to Firefox 2.0? One solution is to position the cursor barely below where I want to go, so Firefox can't jump ahead, but I find this annoying and would just as soon switch back to 2.0.

Intel Mac :: A Website Doesn't Display Properly On It
I own both an iMac and a MacBook.Lately I've been trying to use [URL] and while the website does work, it displays totally wrong on my iMac ?I looked at all I could think of (not a newbie, but not savvy enough to go look in the coding to look for errors there). The one section from the site which displays correctly is one without a menu on both right and left. It's a blog. Here's a clue, I guess. I tried with both Safari 5.1.6 and Firefox 13.0, with the exact same result. But on my Macbook it displays perfect! I am using Firefox 12.0 on it. So I downgraded to Firefox 12.0 on the iMac... no success.Of course I also cleared the cache, closed the browser, and the computer... no luck.I then removed all plugins, since it was the only remaining difference...I thought it could be a difference in display... altough I couldn't see how... I changed it from 1920x1080 to the ones similar to my Macbook's (1280x1024 and 1280x720)... Of course it was the same, just more blurry. It doesn't make sense and I hate it when it doesn't make sense!Of course I hate it even more that I can't use that website on my iMac!!! (or with a lot of hassle).

MacBook Pro :: Why Won't Track-pad Work Properly And The Cursor Will Move On It's Own
I bought my Macbook Pro less than a year ago and the other night I was watching a TV show in itunes and I couldn't use the track pad. I was able to finally shut the Macbook down and the next morning I rebooted it. It was still acting weird and the trackpad was jumpy and would randomly start opening windows and menus as if someone was contriolling it remotely. I used my bluetooth mouse and it seemed to work ok until tonight when I was copying some files wirelessly (or trying to) and evey time I tried to select files the cursor would jump to another screen and open a menu and then select all and open all my file folders. I was able to get that to stop openin ght ewindows but I still can't use the track pad and the machine acts like it is possesed and has a mind of it's own. I have made sure file saring and screen sharing are off and the battery shows to be normal from doing the control+battery test.

MacBook Pro :: External Display - Monitor Doesn't Sleep Properly
Have a brand new MBP 13" using Thunderbolt-DVI adapter with my old Dell 2405 LCD. Have an interesting scenario ... when the display goes to "sleep" there is still some type of signal coming out of the display port.  The monitor will stay on and just blink "NO SIGNAL DETECTED ON INPUT 2".  But the monitor actually still stays on.When I put the entire laptop to sleep them the monitor will properly power down to sleep mode.

I don't think its the monitor because I've used this monitor with a number of different machines and graphics cards, in every scenario when I had the display set to sleep it powered off just fine.

Currently, this is displayed with the European system of using commas instead of points as the decimal separators. I may be crazy, but I'm pretty sure it used to have points and then a few days ago, it switched on me. I noticed it after I installed an update. Is there a way of changing it back?

IMac PPC :: G5 Won't Boot Properly?
Recently I inherited an iMac G5 (no iSight) that has bluetooth and a preinstaled airport card. When I recieved it the drive was wiped so I did an install from the original disks. My problem is that the computer will not boot properly ; I can hear the chime, mostly the lcd lights up but it stays black, sometimes I will see the gray screen and from there it will either go to the light blue screen and hang or it will distort the picture and the fan will kick in. 2 out of 20 times it will boot successfuly but after about 1 min. it will freeze up, distort the image and then the display goes crazy! I don't know whats wrong... the capacitors have been replaced a not too long ago along with the power supply, and I ran a hardware test and it says everything is fine ( the G5 won't recognize the airport card or bluethooth!). I have tried resetting the PMU (although I don't know if I did that correctly), leaving it to rest without any battery or AC power hooked up to it, and the CMD + ALT + P + R reset all to no avail.

It seems like the general outcome for random sleep problems hasn't been too good,
