ITunes For Mac :: Not Localized / Just Upgraded To 11.2.2
Jun 2, 2014Just upgraded my itunes to 11.2.2 and now it will not open. Message pops up saying, "This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the english version." I cannot do anything else in iTunes though. It just shows me that message.
What can I do?

Dec 24, 2008Evidently through automatic upgrades my iTunes has upgraded itself to version 7.7.1 - I just tried to open it and got a pop up window telling me that in order to use iTunes I need OS 10.4.9 (I have 10.4.6). How could it have downloaded for an OS that it won't work with? I don't feel like shelling out the bucks for the OS upgrade, and when I tried to install an older version of iTunes, I got another pop up window telling me I couldn't because a newer version was already installed. I'm afraid that if I dump the newer one I'll lose all my tunes.

Mar 27, 2012I recently upgraded to the newest version of itunes (10.6) and now I am getting an itunes error 13005. I have my itunes running through an external WD Passport. I have read the threads on this and have tried deleting the genius/.itdb files and I am still getting the same error. I have also searched for .lock files, but I can't find any of those files.

May 22, 2012I don't remember doing this in the last few days, but I must have updated to 10.6. Just launched iTunes and the Library comes up blank/ new - it created a new one. I Option + launched to navigate to my existing Library (on external hard drive) and it is grayed out, iTunes will not recognize it.

Sep 10, 2014I upgraded to iTunes 11.4 today, and now I'm not able to sync my iPhone 5s. The sync button is greyed out. I tried reinstalling, reauthorizing, signing in again in iTunes and my iPhone. I also restored my phone twice...not sure what else to do. I'm running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on an iMac Intel Core Duo.

Jun 28, 2012I can't deposit a new midi into my library. I try following the instructions but the song doesn't appear on the main Music library list, and I can't drop in to the Playlist file, where I need to have it as an mp3, so I can make a new CD of this song list. Â
I just had my iMac mini cleaned up and upgraded to Mac OS X 10.7.4 and things are not working the way they were. Before this, I was able just to drag the midi into the main Music library list, turn it into an mp3, then drag a copy into the Playlist.Â

Sep 13, 2006Sorry if its been covered but I went through 4 pages and didn't see this asked. This morning I looked at the new movie section and saw most come in around 1.3gb or so, which seems too small to burn to dvd with any amount of quality.

Jun 19, 2008It seems that my CD drive is not working properly. I am trying to burn some audio CDs using basic CD-Rs through iTunes. I used to have no trouble doing this whatsoever. Now, for some reason, when I go to burn a CD, I am simply unable to do so. The drive reads the blank CD and asks what I want to do with it, as usual. Then, when I create a playlist and hit "Burn Disc," the program seems to be going through all the necessary steps: checking media/playlist and initializing burning, but then it ejects the CD and I get an error message saying "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The device failed to respond properly. Unable to recover or retry."
Could this have anything to do with the file types I am trying to burn (audio files bought/downloaded through the iTunes store) or the type of CD-R I am using (they are basic, Verbatim� recordable compact discs). Or could it be a simple case of computer settings? I haven't changed a thing since I was able to burn discs, or at least not to my knowledge.
Furthermore (and this is the part that really worries me), my drive seems to have become selective in reading discs. DVDs always seem to work, but there are certain CDs that the drive just ejects and refuses to read. It spins a little, makes a couple weird and unfamiliar noises, and then gets spit out, without ever having been detected by the computer.
I have never dropped my laptop or done anything that I think would have damaged the hardware, so it is very confusing to me that this would be happening.

Apr 10, 2012I've been having trouble burning cds on my mac air (10.7.3) with the latest version of iTunes. After I import the cd from the superdrive and insert a blank cd, iTunes closes and I'm taken to the desktop which has the "untitled disc" on it. I have no idea what to do at this point. One tutorial says to select "burn disc" but then I end up with an empty disc. I don't know what to try next. I have burned cds in the past and it made sense. Something has changed. I'm lost.
