Strangest thing. I have tried everything to delete a ringtone from my iphone. I have even deleted the source file but the tone still reappears.
I even unselected all the tones from my phone (in iTunes) then synced (so that nothing transfers). But even then that stubborn ringtone still appears!Â
I'm trying to convert a song I downloaded on itunes into a ringtone for my iphone. How do I do that? I'm using iTunes 10.

If I buy a music in iTunes and want to create a ringtone from it in iTunes... Do I have to buy the ringtone? How can I create/save it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have been trying to create a ringtone from a song in iTunes but cannot move it to the tones folder. We have followed all the instructions available on-line and changed the song to an AAC file, reduced it to under 30 seconds etc etc. It is described as a ringtone in the Get Info box but we cannot move it to the Tones folder in the library and therefore cannot sync to the iphone.

I downloaded the free Ringtone maker in iTunes. It shows up under Apps in my iTunes page, but there is no option to open it. I've tried double-clicking but nothing happens. I have also tried right-clicking, but this only gives me the following options: Get info (just leads back to app description in app store), Show in Finder, Show in iTunes store, and Delete.Â

i have a problem with i tunes, i'm trying to make a ring tone for my iphone from an existing file in my library. to do that i need to press "create an acc version" from the "advanced" tab amongst other procedures but the problem is that the aforementioned option is grey, meaning it can not be pressed, i have a similar problem where a simple thing as copy/paste can't be done on the computer because that to is grey and their fore i just cant press it.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi tried the "Create Ringtone" in the itunes, after the first time, i learnt I had to use something off the store. I went off and got a few songs, but now when I try and do it, i get this: *look at attachments* why its not working? I have the internet on, I can get to the store, i can download etc etc. Everything works, but that "Create Ringtone".
View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone know of a program to convert an mp3 into a ringtone? It being Universal would be great and free would be good too. If the phone matters, it is a Samsung SGH-T509.

Everything works fine, except iPhone Ringtone which does nothing, doesn't make any templates appear in the window or anything.
I have an MP3 file I'd like as a ringtone. I remember on Vista you just right clicked it and renamed it to M4R. Done.
How do I do this on a Mac? I convert to AAC, open it in Finder, rename it to M4R. Won't open.
I have an AT&T phone, not an iPhone, but I want to make a ringtone for it using a song in my iTunes library. I want only like a 30 second part of the song, and I was wondering if anyone knew any good software to make and send it to the phone? I have an MP3 compatible ringtone phone, however it's a Pay As You Go so I'm not sure as far as capabilities go...I think I know how to SMS it to my phone but I need to find a good software to cut, clip, and maybe change format if needed.

There is no "Get All" button for podcasts in iTunes 11.3.1(2) for Mac. This is a bit of nuisance, to say the least.

My iTunes player is getting on my nerves. For some reason, the Previous Button is always highlighted. So whenever I press the spacebar, it does not stop the player, but it rewinds the song to the beginning. How do I get this **** button to un-highlight so that the spacebar can actually do its job of stoping the music?

I need to deactivate old ID's in iTunes however there is no 'deactivate all' button in my current account preferences (says only one computer is autorized). When I want to authorize my current computer for past purchases on an old ID (old computer), I am asked for a PW for my old ID. How do I get past the old ID (without a 'deactivate all' button) and get all my music purchased over the years? BTW I have already re-set.

i seem to have the opposite issue to everyone else on here in that I replaced my logitech keyboard with a new mac aluminium extended wired keyboard and now when I hit the play button it no longer opens iTunes. All I could find here was people looking to turn off this feature in Snow Leopard....
View 6 Replies View Relatedok so I have 13000 track on my computer. I probably hate 9000 of them. This collection has been building up for a good 10 years. I like to listen to music on random. I want to be able to either hit "next" or "delete".
I dont want to have go to itunes window, hit delete then "Move to trash". I want the delete button to do that. even if I'm not on the itunes window.
thoughts? It also doesn't have to be itunes. I don't care what it is. if its not itunes i can use it for a month to syphon through all my music then all thats leftover Ill enjoy through itunes.

When I run the mdls command on a ringtone file to fetch its duration, the output is always null. For e.g running
mdls -raw -name kMDItemDurationSeconds SomeTone.m4r  on the terminal returns (null) as the output. When I check the info for the ringtone in iTunes, I see that it's 14s long. Same issue when I try to fetch the total bitrate for the ringtone using mdls. It also returns null. Why does mdls fail ?
