I Can't find ringtone icon in my itunes. Am i doing something wrong? this is when im trying to sync ringtones from the computer to my phone, there is not ringtone icon and there is no way to sync ringtones.

Strangest thing. I have tried everything to delete a ringtone from my iphone. I have even deleted the source file but the tone still reappears.
I even unselected all the tones from my phone (in iTunes) then synced (so that nothing transfers). But even then that stubborn ringtone still appears!Â

We have followed all the instructions available on-line and changed the song to an AAC file, reduced it to under 30 seconds etc etc. It is described as a ringtone in the Get Info box but we cannot move it to the Tones folder in the library and therefore cannot sync to the iphone.

I downloaded the free Ringtone maker in iTunes. It shows up under Apps in my iTunes page, but there is no option to open it. I've tried double-clicking but nothing happens. I have also tried right-clicking, but this only gives me the following options: Get info (just leads back to app description in app store), Show in Finder, Show in iTunes store, and Delete.Â

i have a problem with i tunes, i'm trying to make a ring tone for my iphone from an existing file in my library. to do that i need to press "create an acc version" from the "advanced" tab amongst other procedures but the problem is that the aforementioned option is grey, meaning it can not be pressed, i have a similar problem where a simple thing as copy/paste can't be done on the computer because that to is grey and their fore i just cant press it.

i noticed there was no hard drive icon on the desktop. so i opened up the finder, and made the mistake by dragging the hard drive icon that is on the left side of the finder out of the finder and tried to put it on the desktop.

I want to eject my camera from my macbook pro but I can't find an icon on my dock, or in the computor section of my finder. I therefore don't know how to eject it since i can't drag it into the trash or select eject from the list of options since there is no icon that i can find of my camera on there! Does anyone know how i can safely eject it? I also keep on putting memory cards into my macbook pro and then taking them out without ejecting them - is that a bad idea? If so then I don't know how to eject them either since i can't find them on my computor either!
My ipod doesn't come up as an icon on my dock either, it just comes up in itunes - is there some way of causing icons to pop up on the dock?

i tried the "Create Ringtone" in the itunes, after the first time, i learnt I had to use something off the store. I went off and got a few songs, but now when I try and do it, i get this: *look at attachments* why its not working? I have the internet on, I can get to the store, i can download etc etc. Everything works, but that "Create Ringtone".

I've been using Liteicon for this, but since (apparently) you can't change the iTunes icon using it, I tried doing it by going to the applications folder, selecting iTunes, going to "get info" and then dragging the new icon to the top left corner where the iTunes icon is.
Problem is, it won't change. The cursor will change into a cursor with a little green ball with a + in it, but there is no effect. I tried unlocking the lock on the bottom right side of the window, made no difference.
I've googled this and searched this forum for a couple of hours, got nothing.
By the way, I changed the Firefox icon the same exact way, no problem. I'm running as an admin as well.
My documents icon is missing. The one on the right side of the line in the dock. like in this pic.'.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Macbook pro OSX 10.4 Tiger, and have been experiencing a very bizarre, spooky, specter-like occurrence happening as of late when I watch streaming videos off common site such as Hulu. I'm using the newest version of Firefox and my roommates and I have wireless internet with various routers rigged sort of haphazardly throughout the apartment. Sometimes whenever my cellphone alarm goes off, or an incoming call comes in, the ringtone will come through the speakers of my computer! This takes place even if I'm on a different floor or in another room. It has even happened when my cellphone is put to silent! Can anyone explain or speculate why this is happening? It always freaks me out, and won't go away unless I close the video or browser.

Yesterday, I had to re-format my external hard drive so that it could be "recordable" within Pro Tools, which wasn't a major issue, I just had to move everything from my Lacie drive to another drive, do the format, and then throw it all back on. It took a little while but this also included moving my nearly 60gb itunes library. Now that it is on the newly formatted hard drive, itunes doesn't seem to be able to find the majority of the songs any more. I've tried changing the music folder and a few other things, and there is no way I'm going through and doing the "cant find music - click here to find it" palava. Is anyone aware of a way that you can "mass find" all of the music in any way other than starting the library again and adding all the music (I don't really want to lose all of my play counts and ratings if possible!)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have switched email for the first time in 15 years, to a new provider. I finally got MacMail configured and got that working with the new servers, etc. Weird thing is that on my MacBook Pro, on the dock where the mail icon is, it says I have 4 unread emails, which is the same thing it says in my Inbox. However, no matter what I've tried, I can't find those unread e-mails, and therefore can't open them. I tried clearing out old emails, rebuilding mail, etc. to no avail. I can and have got other emails and had no trouble opening them. My outgoing mail is fine. I'm using Safari if that makes any difference.
