Sep 5, 2010I just updated my iTunes but it appears it deleted my library. This sucks because I have spent hours upon hours sorting it, renaming crooked song titles, finding covers and all that stuff. I used time machine to back up my computer like 5 days ago, but I can't figure out how to use it. I wish I could just select that given day (when I made my last backup) and make it turn everything back to what it was back then. How do I do this exactly? I don't care at all if I have to go back to the old iTunes (obviously they will fix this eventually!) - I just want it to look like it did a few days ago.

Jul 1, 2010My iTunes music files were stored on an external hard drive. But, unfortunately, the iTunes library file must have been on the laptop hard drive. Now, when I open iTunes music library and playlists are empty, despite my having 120GB of music on the connected hard drive.
Short of dragging and dropping all the music files into the iTunes window, is there any other way of "telling" iTunes where to find my music? I have tried "organize library" and nothing happens.

Mar 27, 2012I recently switched from Pc to Mac, and iTunes isn't picking up my iPhone? I switchd over all my music, movies, TV shows, and podcasts using home sharing. I connect the usb cord and plugged in my iPhone, and nothing happens on the sidebar of iTunes. It recognizes it as a camera, but doesnt weant to sync my phone, or iPad? I just dont know what to do?

Apr 2, 2012I recently switched from Windows PC to an iMac a couple of weeks ago.Having sero experience with mac's I asked a friend of mine how I should transfer my itunes over to the new iMac from PC. He said I just need to copy my music and movies over from the old PC and authorise my new iMac.However, just today I plugged in my iphone4 to the mac to get some photo's off it and update some music but im getting an error telling me my iphone is currently synced with another library.Several questions:How do I get my photo's off my iphone before it wipes it?Should my app's automatically appear in my itunes now my iMac has been authorised?What about things like calendar entries? I dont see them in iCal on the iMac?

Feb 13, 2012I subscribe to several podcast, most of them are news and I have a couple of them that are music that I'd like to add to the Recently Added Smart Playlist. By default the this playlist has the criteria Media Kind is not Podcast, so when I specify a podcast it'll not appear and if I remove this criteria, all the podcasts will appear which of course I don't want. I could just specify every single podcast I don't want but the problem would be that I'd have to keep editing the playlist everytime I subscribe to a new one; a thing I don't feel very comfortable with. I tried using subcriteria but the Media Kind is not Podcast just overrules everything I add afterwards.

Nov 4, 2010I was downloading some fonts from [URL] because I was going to use them in some software. Now it told me to just double click the file and hit "install" I did that and then this window came up and I hit the little + sign to add them. And then it started copying all my fonts I think? I stopped it and then it sowed a bunch of them that were not there? So I basically hit the install button it came up with coulombs in one window. The left coulomb had a list of my name my computer and all that. The middle coulomb said the three fonts I wanted to install.
So in the bottom on the middle coulomb there was a little plus sign + I hit it and it looked like it started copying all my fonts. So now I am stuck. Also once I had canceled the install/copy/who knows what. There was a message under I believe 4-6 fonts that were all in the middle coulomb that said some warning! About the font having multiple or something. Also is said I could use a command to resolve this or something? I don't want to damage my computers software!
