Mar 1, 2009i have 2 macs (one early 2008 macbook (leopard) and an 2007 i mac (tiger but might get leopard)). And i have mobile me (just saying because this might help) and i want to be able to sync my music from computer to another. is this possible? Apple said there might be a way but they didn't know. But please don't give me a solution with an external hard drive i don't have one (and i can't afford one). I just want to be able to sync itunes with the 2 macs.

iTunes 12 just won't sync to the 6 Plus, It keeps telling me that computer is not authorized.
1. I've gone through he de-auth and re-auth dozens of times, also deauth'd all devices and re-auth just this Macbook Pro.
2. Gone through steps in the article iTunes repeatedly prompts to authorize computer to play iTunes Store purchases
3. My old 5S still syncs fine.
4. iTunes recognized the device plugged in but it is not seen in Manage Devices
5. While plugged in iTunes recognizes the App updates I do on the device and changes them from Will Install to Remove status after the update. Also was able to do an OS upset to 8.1.1 while plugged in so it knows how to communicate to the device but just can't sync.
I did a restore of a saved 5S which only brought back abut 20% of my apps. In looking at the Apps section when the device is plugged I see my other 100+ apps and screen configurations but hitting the sync results in the computer not authorized rejection dialog.

ITunes For Mac :: Can One Computer Have 2 Apple IDs
Sep 2, 2014My family all uses one Apple ID based on my husbands email address for all our purchases and it works fine in our family. Over the years as we updated computers however, about one third of our songs became deauthorized on the computer, and no longer play. When I check these songs in itunes it asks me to authorize them using an Apple ID based on an old email of mine. I don't remember ever having another apple ID, but you never know, I may have screwed something up along the way. How can I check out this apple ID? Can I just authorize the computer for this apple ID without losing/deleting/messing up our main normal apple ID? I am happy for all the music to be in one big music account - none of my question pertains to having separate accounts or IDs for family members.I simply want to know if these two apple IDs can exist harmoniously together on one computer without messing things up.

Apr 11, 2012I use iCloud for syning Mail & Notes. Contacts, Calendars and Documents & Data. I am 100% sure that in the past in iTunes/Info tab "Sync contacts" and "Sync Mail Accounts" showed all my different Address Book groups and different email account to be synced. Since recently they seem disappeared and I only see my different Calendars to be synced. Why are both Sync contacts empty and Sync Mail Accounts both emtpy/dimmed. BTW if I check Sync contacts I get a message that they are synced through iCloud etc. etc. Now if I enable on my Mac another email account in Apple Mail it is not added to my iPhone/iPad anymore. How can I change that ?

Nov 11, 2009I know how to set up hotmail in Apple mail so that I am receiving email and can send email. But when I send a e-mail from my hotmail account from another computer, the email I've sent, wont appear in the 'sent' box of apple mail. Is there a possibility to sync my hotmail account entirely? No hotmail bashing or advice to switch to gmail or another webmail kind of thing.

Feb 19, 2010for those of you using gmail with imap know, read and unread status's do not update for some reason w/out turning mail off then back on. i recently purchased a new (to me) intel macbook with snow leopard 10.6 and used mobileme to sync my mail accounts. what i noticed to my pleasant surprise is that my iphone, macbook, and gmail are all in perfect sync, BUT the g4 powermac with leopard and apple mail 3.6 still has a problem. is there any updates coming out, i find it hard to believe with the leopard updates still coming out they still haven't addressed this issue. are those of you with snow leopard experiencing the same perfect syncs with gmail read/unread status?

Apr 19, 2009I have a Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-Ray with Netflix streaming and Pandora capabilities. I also an Apple TV at the same location.
At my computer (IMac 20") I have an Apple Extreme for wireless streaming, and use it as my router
The problem is that the Blu-Ray will not talk to the Apple Extreme, which means that I don't have the Netflix and Pandora enabled at the TV. I can see my network and a neighbors when I do a search for connections within the Blu-Ray setup screen, but when I try to connect I get a message that the player failed to connect
The Blu-Ray has the wireless dongle installed. I know it's not an internet problem per se, since I have had no problem getting the Apple TV to work with all its functions including instant streaming of movies and TV shows. I have no problem w/ my ipod touch eoither. I have entered IP addresses, passwords, and every other thing I can think of until I'm Blu-Ray in the face.

Apr 1, 2009So here is what I'm trying to do, I've got a 160 gb of music in itunes on my macbook pro, but I need to decrease that number, b/c my I'm running out of hard drive space and my library is only getting larger. I want to have it set up so that I've got my entire library on my external hard drive (1 TB, space is not an issue), and while I'm at home I can access the entire library. However, while I'm out of the house, I'd like to only have about half of my current collection with me on my macbook pro..
I tried to set it up using the 'itunes manage multiple libraries' method, but this didn't transfer any of my ratings or playlists. Then I realized that with having these two libraries completely separate, this will be a re-occurring theme. The playlist and ratings between the two separate libraries in two separate locations, would continue to get more and more askew from each other depending on which library I'm accessing when I import new music, change ratings, or modify playlists...........

Mar 13, 2012I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.

My company IT says the problem is that they are using an older version of MS Exchange server software and that Apple is not fully compatible. Dec 8, 2009I have all my music on an external HD that I've used for a few years. I told my old computer (1GHz TiBook G4 with Tiger) to export my iTunes library, which it did, as a .xml file. Then, I opened that file on my new iMac, and only about 1/5 of the songs were found, apparently. This doesn't make sense to me, as the iMac is connected to the HD when I import the old library. If it makes a difference, the TiBook was NOT connected to the HD when I exported the library. I have the two computers networked together via Ethernet right now, though.
