ITunes :: Songs Could Not Be Synced Because Computer Not Authorized

My computer is authorized for my iTunes account. When I was syncing my iPad recently, iTunes kept saying that certain songs (55 of them, for which I paid iTunes long ago), could not be synced because the computer is not authorized for iTunes.I checked via iTunes Store and, indeed, my computer IS authorized. This keeps happening.

ITunes Mac :: Trying To Play Old Songs From Authorized Computer?
Because I had authorized 5 machines and it wouldn't let me authorize anymore, I deauthorized all "old" computers to start over. I re authorized the computer I am using now...MacPro bought July 09, and now if I want to make playlists of some songs that were bought with other computers, it won't let me put them on my ipod touch, or even play them on my computer. It says "This computer is not authorized to play...... It asks me if I would like to authorize it and then when I put in my current apple id and my password, it won't let me play the song. It says, This computer is already authorized.

What am I doint wrong. Anything I bought previous to July 09 it won't let me play. That is more than half my collection!

ITunes :: Authorized Computer For Playing Songs That Paid For, It Doesn't Play
I bought a song and was billed for it on iTunes. When I tried to play it, a pop-up said, "This computer is not authorized to play....Would you like to authorize it?" I signed in, clicked the authorize button, and it says, "This computer is already authorized" and the window closed. I still can't play the song. I read online to check with the computer administrator and the file --> song info. It is registered with my email address. All other songs I have bought play with no problems. I heard also I could reinstall iTunes, so I went online and installed iTunes 10.6. It is installed but nothing is changed.

ITunes Mac :: Some Songs Won't Play - Says The Computer Isn't Authorized
After upgrading to iTunes 10, I now have 63 songs that won't play. I get the error that the computer isn't authorized, but it is. If it wasn't, the other 1000+ songs wouldn't play, right? So I try to authorize it by putting my password in. It then says that I have 5 computers already authorized and to deauthorize one. So, I go into the Store, and the Store says that the computer is already authorized and the total number of computers authorized is 3. Net, should be able to add 2 more.

ITunes Mac :: Trying To Authorize Old Songs It Says They Are Already Authorized?
I seem to be having some trouble playing old songs that I had on a previous computer. However, when I try to authorize them it says they are already authorized, so I am caught in a catch 22. When the dialogue box pops up asking for me to authorize these songs, the username is an old email address I no longer have. Any thoughts as to what the problem is?

ITunes Mac :: Trying To Authorized Songs Not Purchased On Store?
Recently, I replaced my hard drive. I restored my system from a Time Machine Backup. Since then, iTunes will not play about 35 songs in my library which were imported from CDs, not purchased on the iTunes store. The computer is Authorized, and all my purchased music plays. I've done all the trouble shooting steps I an find on the Apple Support site. I'm guessing there is a "file flag" which is set incorrectly on these files. Any idease?

ITunes Mac :: Some Songs Got Shorten - Not Synced Properly
Loaded in album from CD. Synched ipod. All good for several months and then noticed that some songs had gotten shortened along the way. Different albums but a 3:35 song became a 25 second song. Not all of them just a random 10 or so that I've found. I know I can re-load but it worries me for songs I buy and download.

ITunes Mac :: Migrating Songs - Synced To New Installation?
I'll be upgrading my laptops hard drive soon. I've purchased two albums off of iTunes, and I was wondering how migration of songs would have to be done were I to go with a clean install, as opposed to restoring from a back up. Essentially, what would I have to do to get my iTunes purchased music ( albums I own physically don't matter quite as much for this process ) to the new installation? And, if anyone knows, what would my iPhone and iPad do when being synced to the new installation? I can't imagine it being a big deal, I've just never had to do it before.

ITunes Mac :: Not Authorized To Play On Computer
I just did a restore of my iTunes library. And now I've got one song that keeps giving me this alert when I connect my iPod, and when I try to play it within iTunes I get an alert telling me the computer isn't authorized and asking me to sign in to my account. The odd thing about that is that the email that appears in one I haven't used in 5 or 6 years and is not currently associated with my iTunes account. I tried reseting my alerts that didn't work. I checked the file it's an mp4protected. The song has 16 plays so I've used it before.

ITunes :: Computer Can't Be Authorized/deauthorized
There was an error storing your authorization information on this computer.

The required file was not found or has a permissions error. Correct this permissions problem and try again, or deauthorize this computer if the permissions cannot be changed.

I just made the move to iCloud from MobileMe. Following the directions on iCloud for iTunes to push of applications to this computer. iTunes said this computer was not authorized. Tried to authorize and got the above. I repaired the permissions, got the above again. Tried to deauthorize the computer and got the above again. What file has to be rebuilt. Reinstalled iTunes hoping the file would rebuild. I've deactivated all computers, the iPad and other MacBookPro (authorized with no problem) show up in the devices. When I authorized the other MacBookPro it said it was one of three out of five allowed.

Ive tried everything I know to no avail. Can't get the 17" authorized.

ITunes Mac :: Computer No Longer Authorized To Play Purchased Items
When I plug in my iPod and iTunes starts syncing, I get the message "This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the iPod. Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store?" When I then click Authorize, iTunes brings up an ancient iTunes ID that I haven't used in years. I do remember the password for it, though. However, that doesn't work. It says an error has occurred. When I enter my current (and longterm) iTunes ID and password, that also doesn't work (same error message).

I've tried deauthorizing my Macbook but I get another error message. Worth noting--I don't get an error message when I log into iTunes through the store. I don't think this is a problem with my iPod. I think it's an iTunes issue. (I could be wrong of course.) By the way, all of these songs should already be authorized. I haven't made any purchases lately, and syncing these songs previously has been no problem. It appears that the songs that are causing the trouble are DRM songs that I have yet to update (purchase an update from Apple) to non-DRM format.

ITunes Mac :: My Authorized Computers - Suddenly Main Computer Is Unauthorized?
Today, my primary computer and the one I use for all of my iTunes / iPhone / iPad related tasks is suddenly telling me that it is not authorized for my account (although it was yesterday, and I did not de-authorize it).

My account has always shown 5 authorized computers, despite the fact that I've only ever authorized three. I have tried and tried to authorize and de-authorize this computer ever since the message, but with no luck.I tried the de-authorize all command, but I guess I used that once back in April (when I reloaded my computer) and can't use it again until April 2011.

So now, I can suddenly no longer sync my iPhone or iPad with my iTunes because my doing so iTunes will delete all my apps. This, of course, also presents other problems as well.y ideas anyone? Can an Apple rep help me out here by de-authorizing all of my computers for me? Do Apple reps read these forums?

ITunes Mac :: ITunes Store Wont't Play As They Are Not Authorized To Play On This Computer?
I have a rather odd problem that I'm hoping somebody might be able to help me out with...Before I left on holiday about a week ago, I transferred my iTunes library from my iMac (master computer) to my MacBook Pro just to make sure I had everything from my main iTunes Library with me. Anyway, certain songs purchased from the iTunes Store wont't play as they are "Not authorized to play on this computer"When I try to authorize it, and old account from about 2003 appears and asks me for a password. I have no idea of what the password is and when I click on "Forgot Password? it asks me for my birthdate to continue and then tells me that my birthdate is incorrect!

Anyway, I tried entering my current Apple I.D. and password it then tells me that this computer is "already authorized" so I try to play the songs again and get the same message - "This computer is not authorized to play ...... would you like to authorize it?" I click "Yes" and then it prompts me with the old Apple I.D." again and I continue going around in circles!

I've also tried de-authorizing all computers and re-authorizing my MacBook Pro and iMac. Now, when I try to play the songs I still get the same message and when I authorize this computer with my current Apple I.D. I get the message, "This computer is already authorized" 2 out of a total of 5 computers are authorized"
