iTunes LPs have stopped working for me for some reason. It's been like this for months and I haven't found a solution anywhere. When I click on the LP file, nothing happens. Nothing pops up, nada. It's like as if I hadn't clicked on it at all. This is affecting ALL my iTunes LPs. I checked the files in the iTunes media folder and they all seem to be there iTunes just won't open them. I have the latest version of iTunes and I'm using a 2010 iMac 27" running Mac OS X Lion, the latest version.
I noticed yesterday that when I opened mail, it kept trying to get mail off the sever even though everything downloaded. Today when I open I just get the colored wheel and I must force quit everytime.
I'm on OS X 10.4.11 and speech recognition works wonderfully for about 10 minutes, and then it stops working for no apparent reason. The microphone window shows that it hears me, but doesn't recognize anything.
I go to Preferences, turn off speech recognition and within a few seconds it turns itself on again, but that doesn't solve the problem. Even a restart doesn't help.
I use Image Capture to get photos off my Canon XSi. Lately, it hasn't been working. Image Capture shows 26 CR2 icons, but won't show their thumbnail previews. It won't download them, and I can't delete them, either. It also won't recognize any new photos I've taken with the camera. The only thing I've done recently that might have caused this is I installed a new scanner (Epson V300).
Since I got SL the program I used AudioSwitcher does not work anymore. I used this for quick switching between my line out and headphones. Was just wondering if anyone knows of a program that works with SL.
the ODD fan of my computer is not working anymore. is it risky to keep on using my imac till i take it to the apple service? by the way, there is a strange "clicking sound" coming from the back of my computer. i did the AHT and it said the hardware is ok but the odd fan. the error code is 4MOT/1/40000002: ODD-0
When I import an album some albums split into several albums. How do I stop this from happening? I have tried dragging and dropping them into one location.
I've read several threads where people have been having trouble with this, but nothing has been resolved so far? I've got a 2ghz core duo mac mini running OS 10.6.4. I used to be able to stream digital output from it, but I cant anymore & it's driving me around the bend. I have tried new cables, different combinations of sources of audio, cables, inputs on my AV receiver and everything is in good working order apart from the digital out on my mac.
It will play analogue stereo fine, it will play from the built-in speakers, but it will not play the optical digital stream. As I said before, it used to do this fine, until one day it just stopped working, it kind of 'faded out' and never came back. The light still shines when the toslink cable is plugged in and the output switches to digital in system prefs, but nothing is being received by the AV receiver.
I have shared my internet connection to my PC via ethernet many times (so my PC get the internet connection from a ethernet cable plugged into my MacBook which shares it's connection via AirPort).
Now suddenly it doesn't work, when I plug in the ethernet cable to my MacBook the internet connection dies whenever the ethernet connection starts working... I'm still connected to the wireless network, but can't use internet...
So the connection to internet dies whenever I try to share it to my PC from my Mac... Anybody know how to fix this?
im on a mac pro running 10.5.6 and the search function doesnt seem to be working very well anymore. I am talking about the little search box in the top right corner of a finder window. I type text in and it just doesnt find the files I am looking for. I can browse to them and locate them but search wont find them.
Is there some way i need to be re-indexing my HD from time to time? I would expect this for spotlight but I thought the finder search was different...

my problem is that tv shows and movies downloaded from the iTunes store skips frames (stutters, pauses call it what you will) every 5 or 10 seconds while playing. The sound continues but the video stutters. The problem appears after watching for about 5 minutes, its fine until then, sometimes it gets a bit better but it never goes away.The movies are not HD, they're standard definition files.
I've tried many different movies and tv shows purchased from the iTunes store and its always the same.It happens in full screen and half size. It happens when i open the files in quicktime player as well. I have no other applications running while the problem happens. It does NOT happen when I put the files onto my girlfriend's iPad, they playback no problem.
This problem did not happen when I first purchased the laptop, it has only appeared in recent months. At first I thought it was a RAM issue as I only had 2gb of RAM so I upgraded to 8gb and while my computer is much faster in general the problem has not gone away at all, it's exactly the same. Then I thought it was because my hard drive was full, (which it was) so I cleared some space and now have 75gb free on a 160gb drive. Still skipping frames. It does not happen when I play video files not purchased from iTunes store in quicktime.
I don't know what happen, but my Digital western external harddrive dosn't work anymore? I can see the files but I can only copy the files from it and transfer to my mac. I cant read or write? What do I do?
i received my new 27" ACD. This display is amazing! I use it on my Mac Pro 2008. No dead pixels, audio is working and iSight worked too. But after installing the "Software-Update for LED Cinema Display 1.0" my iSight is not working anymore!
Only black video window in iChat and FaceTime. And the green LED next to the iSight is off.
In the Mail app, I'm getting a circle with a triangle and an exclamation mark inside it. I can't receive or send my from this (Outlook Express) account. It's a work email account, but it has been working fine until now. I clicked Rebuild from the app menu (trying to fix it!), but that only removed all existing emails in the mailbox.
Use to be able to create ringtones via Itunes on most songs I had on my play list. Can't do this anymore?Any info on how I can create my own ringtones?
I've always been able to burn CDs on my macbook pro until recently. Sometimes it will burn one cd and then I try to burn another and some of the songs will play on the cd but then the rest won't or the cd wont burn at all. I thought it might be the type of CD im using but i bought a different kind and tried them on other computers and the problem is definitely my computer.
I upgraded to Itunes 12.0.1.26. When I go to album info/artwork I drag, or add from saved location, a movie poster from Ben Dodson (Standard Resolution). The poster appears in the box but when I click ok the movie box shows the working wheel but when its done the poster is not added and its the default box. *Note I am working with my own added movie and not an iTunes Purchase and my media library is on a local network drive. Also I did not have a problem adding posters in iTunes 11.
Since I've upgraded to Mavericks and iTunes 11.2.1, I have been unable to share my library on my admin machine with any of the other iMacs in my class. I used to do this via sharing and my library would show up as being shared in the available column in the classroom machines.
Now it doesn't show on any of the remote machines at all, despite them all having sharing on. I have tried to do this via Home Sharing but the client machines will not allow home sharing (error-3170).
Older G5, with built in Airport, sees Airport Express to drive printer but iTunes doesn't see remote speakers wired to same AE. Was having occasional drop outs, replaced AE with new; seemed to be OK;then speakers stopped showing up in iTunes (speakers work when cable plugged into iPhone)
I used to sync my iPhone 3G with my MacBook Pro (Agenda, Mail, iCal) with no problem. Then items from agenda and iCal began to appear duplicated. Couldn't find how to get rid of duplicates, so I deleted them by hand (one by one!). Next sync and now I have 600 contacts in my Mac, but 295 in my iPhone; 928 songs in my Mac, but 915 in my iPhone). I've tried everything I can think of (basically changing settings and restoring my iPhone) but nothing happens. After some syncs even a message appeared: "iPhone can not be syncronized because a disk is needed" or something of that sort.
I'm using 10.7.3. iTunes 10.6. MacBook Pro 2.6Ghz 4GB ram. ITunes won't play my video anymore and it's been a while I'm not sure when it occurred if it's after an update to snow leopard or iTunes updates. When I double click a video I get "This movie requires QuickTime, which is not supported by this version of iTunes."? And cannot convert the option doesn't work I get this other message when trying to convert a version for APPLE TV in advanced menu "None of the selected files were converted because they could not be found."?
But the movies are quicktime movies in my library and the MPEG-4 plays in iTunes but not on APPLE TV. From all my videos I get one only going through APPLE TV and when I try opening it it says error occured why opening and never works? It seems APPLE is regularly messing things up in updates to loose people so they have to pay for tech support, I didn't upgrade to iPhoto 11 and cannot import anything anymore into it so my entire library is a dead one; not a cool way to do business than messing people software so they have to buy newer versions!
For some reason, my iTunes only plays podcasts individually. Older versions would just play all the episodes you have in order but now I have to manually play each one.
I have iTunes 9.1.1.12 on my PC and iMac. I used to be able to copy songs from one library to the other via the iTunes sharing option. They are both on the same account with Apple, but now I cannot copy. When I drag and drop, nothing happens. I can't find another way to do it other than using an external source to copy, but I'd like to do it within iTunes!
Has this option been turned off in the latest release? The only thing I can think of besides upgrading iTunes to the latest release is that I was at 5 computers authorized, so I deauthorized all of them, and re-authorized the two computers that I'm using in this scenario.
