After downloading both versions of a television show, I deleted the HD to make room for more -- and now the SD won't play. In subsequent downloads it appears the two versions have synched. Is there any way to get the SD versions to play after the HD versions have been deleted? Or did I lose both in trying to save disk space?

I want to play my MacBook Pro (new aluminum version) through a TV I have in my RV. It has RCA audio and video inputs. I was told that the old MacBooks were fine as they had DVI output, while the new MacBook Pro has DVA output. I'm not really tuned into what this means, but I'm sure there must be an adapter out there that will allow me to make this connection.

I just updated my iTunes but it appears it deleted my library. This sucks because I have spent HOURS upon HOURS sorting it, renaming crooked song titles, finding covers and all that stuff. I used time machine to back up my computer like 5 days ago, but I can't figure out how to use it. I wish I could just select that given day (when I made my last backup) and make it turn everything back to what it was back then.How do I do this exactly? This might be a dumb question, but I will be selling my current 13" 2.4 GHz MacBook for the new 13" MBP. How can I transfer all of my pictures onto the new computer? Do I need an external hard drive or something, since I will be selling this computer?
Also, all of my iTunes stuff won't get deleted, will it?
My iTunes music files were stored on an external hard drive. But, unfortunately, the iTunes library file must have been on the laptop hard drive. Now, when I open iTunes music library and playlists are empty, despite my having 120GB of music on the connected hard drive.
Short of dragging and dropping all the music files into the iTunes window, is there any other way of "telling" iTunes where to find my music? I have tried "organize library" and nothing happens.

I have downloaded a song and when I go to play it...it bounces off of the song and will not play. I have iTunes 10.6.1......Apple charged me for the song already. I went to Support but could not find a solution specific to my issue. I have downloaded over 2500 songs and this has not happened before. View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my system HDD to an SSD with a new install of OSX 10.6.4 and mimicked the settings I had on my previous set up to replicate it. however, when for example I was using iTunes to play music the screen saver would come on and a short time later the system would pause iTunes and goes into Sleep mode.
my previous install never did that so I'm not sure if its because of the SSD and it not being mechanical it doesnt recognize it accessing or seeking 'per se' because regardless of unchecking "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" it still does it. here is an image of energy saver settings; btw I had the system plugged into and still went into sleep mode when iTunes was playing and even other media formats such as Video in iTunes or VLC.

Then I went to "library" and then "consolidate", and it moved all my library over to my external. I can verify that my songs are all there on my externalHowever, now, itunes won't play any songs of mine. I double click on the song in itunes and it just wont play. But the problem is, that it affects VLC as well, and it plays a video and the audio interrupts whatever music I'm listening to (even when no video is opened but vlc is running, it'll open my last played video and play that alongside the music). I never had this problem with the old version of vlc, but ever since updating, vlc has now been wired to work with the friggen play/pause button.
I tried looking in VLC preferences to see if it could be disabled but couldn't find anything regarding the mac play/pause keyboard button. Any ideas on how I can stop vlc from being affected by this key? And I'm not keen on the idea of going back to the older version unless it's my only option.
