These are movies made using the iPod (Gen 5 Nano.) When the iPod is synched, for some reason they do not appear anywhere in iTunes, so I am unable to copy them over to the iTunes (10.6.3) Library.
View 1 RepliesMy iTunes (the latest version on a MacBook Pro) is not allowing me to copy music from the library to an iPod. Most of the music is imported in, not purchased from iTunes. When I drag to load on to the iPod, it says "File Not Found" - I am guessing it is because it is a mp3 not a mp4? I am not sure how it cannot be found, when I can play the song in iTunes on my computer? Do I need to convert these song files to mp4? If so, what program can I use? I used to use AudioHub before it went away - I have since purchased a new machine and cannot access it any more.

When i transferred all my Music and Movies from my PC, i put them into the specified Music and Movie folders, but when i used itunes to open all of them, iTunes makes a copy of all of them and put then into it's own folder.
doesn't this take up 2x the space then?

I love AirPlay. I use it on my iPod Touch the moment I get home to play music to my speakers connected via AirPort Express. I use it on my iPad too when i'm watching a movie..
Even on my MBP when listening to music from iTunes. But Movies in iTunes don't work. The AirPlay icon in a movie playing in iTunes only shows "computer" and doesn't show any other options.
Irecently had my laptop (holding my itunes library) stolen. Grrr. So I have since purchased some software called Senuti which enables me to replicate my ipod back onto my Mac laptop. The problem I have though, is I have over 8,000 songs on my ipod and my laptop doesn't seem to have nearly enough memory for me to copy back. I have deleted everything possible from the Mac to free up space, but there is not enough.
Is there a way I can get my music back from my ipod, and be able to run ITunes effectively again and keep updating my library with new music and pictures? I have an external hard drive, but I'm unsure how I could either use the hard-drive to facilitate the transfer, or do I need to copy what content I have managed to copy to itunes, to the hard drive, then delete from the laptop and copy the next batch?

i have 136gb on my macbook pro and when i try to copy a video to the "movies" folder it wont let me.

This upgrade sent out 5th/6th February 2010 has caused my family's iPods and my AppleTV to disconnect from the iTunes library and demand a return to factory settings for all units. Still have not got any of them to sync with the library or reload the back-up settings in the case of the iPods

I have an older iPod that has some playlists on it that are not in my iTune library. I want this same playlist on my iPhone but when I do an 'export' then try to drag and drop into my phone I get a message saying it did not copy because 'it cannot be played on this phone'. I also cannot drag and drop it into iTunes anywhere either. All of these songs are in my library, I just don't want to have to go through and remake this playlist to add to my phone.

My parents have an iMac and a 4g iPod. The iPod hasn't been used for a while, but still plays music and podcasts beautifully. The problem is, the iTunes Library isn't on the iMac anymore. That would have worked, but most of my music is in .wav, so all the albums and artists got lost leaving a big jumble of songs. Everything is still intact on the ipod. The iPod appears on my desktop, but only has one folder in it, which has one song in it...none of the other music can be found. It says "600 MB" is available, but it's a 4 gig iPod.
I want to try to restore it, but the iPod Mini won't appear in iTunes. I don't care about losing the music on the iPod, because it isn't my music. Do newer versions of iTunes recognize iPod Minis?
