Intel Mac :: Can't See The Safari, File, Edit, View Etc
Mar 11, 2012i cant see the satari, file , edit , view etc on the top... when my pointer arrow up the top and pop down i can see this safari.. when i removed the pointer arrow.. the line was pop up ... how can it stay still no pop up... but i can see the corner the blue square with two arrow and i move the pointer arrow to this blue square make it smaller.... but how can the top to stop pop up make me cant see the safari etc.. i want is show the top file edit all time ..

Dec 30, 2009I know that some base unix files are hidden inside Macintosh HD, and I know that sometimes they get unhidden, well, this happened to me with the private folder, and I deleted it, then restored from a backup and found a command to get rid of it. But now another hidden file has become unhidden, the usr file, now I don't know what it is so I'm not gonna mess with it, but can some one please tell me the command to hide it, or give me a link to an article?

Is there any way for me to view the history other than through Safari. i.e., IP adress history?? Also, how can I clean my computer/hard drive thoroughly as to prevent incrimination? I have since changed my password to prevent access from anyone other than myself, but I do not want anything I'm not aware of on my hard drive!

OS X V10.7 Lion :: View As Option Not Available In Right Click Menu Of Mail 5.1 On IMac
Mar 25, 2012I have several iMacs in my office with Lion and Mail 5.1. I have a user who wants to View attachments as Icons to ensure all are attached prior to sending. Unlike all the other iMacs, hers does not have the option "View in Place" and "View as Icon" when she right-clicks on the attachment.
I have found in other posts that you cannot set a defaul to ensure Icons or View in Place will always occur, and that the default depends on the type and size of attachment. I am not sure of that logic, but she can't even choose on an individual email basis. How can those options be enabled?

Feb 13, 2006Earlier tonight I opened iCal, only to find that none of my calendars were there. it was completely empty. However, when I changed the view from "Week" to "Month" all of my events were listed (in the proper color) on the appropriate day, but I still had no list of calendars on the left. Subsequent changes between "Day" "Week" and "Month" view continued to display the events properly, but nothing showed up in the calendar menu on the left.
I repaired permissions same thing happened.I trashed com.apple.ical pref (forgot the exact filename)�same behavior. I use .mac to sync between computers, and I use Missing Sync to sync to a Palm T|X.

Jun 2, 2010I have been working on a project in iMovie for a few days, and it has been working perfectly. Today, I opened up my project and I could not play the project (the red line would move, but no picture would show up in the upper right hand corner box) and ALL of the options in the "share" tab were gray and unable to click them. Many options in the "edit" and "file" tabs were unable to be clicked as well.
Another project i completed months ago is working perfectly. The clips in the events play/show up on the window in the upper right hand corner

Jul 3, 2010When I click on the bookmark icon in Safari it does not show all the bookmark folders I have in my bookmarks drop down menu.

I've tried dragging and dropping the folders but that does nothing, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Safari (it just came back with all my bookmarks in exactly the same place), then I tried restoring Safari to factory settings but that did nothing either.

May 14, 2009I use a text edit file as a to-do list; however, it doesn't play nice. When I click on its icon, it pops up somewhere other than where I want it. I've tried "Preferences" and TextEdit help on and off line. I can't find any info on it. I'm probably not using the exact words that 'help' would recognize. I've tried saying "Simon Says" too, but that doesn't work either.

But, if i use sudo open -t /etc/hosts OR $ sudo nano /private/etc/hosts It doesn't give me any error, and it also opens the HOSTS file. But its empty! Im using MAc Osx 10.5 Any ideas of what's going on?

I need to enable short_open_tag. I believe I need to make a change to the php.ini file.
I have tried to open it through terminal through the following comands: cd /etcsudo nano php.ini
got the error message Error opening terminal: xterm-256color.
so then I tried cd /etcsudo pico php.ini and got the same error message.
My Question is, to enable short_open_tag, do I need to edit the php.ini file or not. If I do, how? If not, how to I enable short_open_tag?
