IMac (Intel) :: Played Disk In ITunes But Then Could Not Get It To Eject?

My husband (who has my old iMac) inserted a CD that a friend gave him into his disk drive. He played the disk in iTunes, but then could not get it to eject. I came over to "help" and after clicking the eject button in ITunes and then holdiing the eject button on the keyboard down for some time, the drive is stuck in kind of a loop trying to eject the CD. Here are the things that we have tried:
restarting the iMac
shutting it down and rebooting after waiting a while
shutting it down and unplugging it. Waiting for a while and then plugging it back in and rebooting
rebooting while holding the eject button down (on keyboard)
resetting the PRAM by holding down option-command-p-r while booting
drutil eject -drive internal in Terminal Mode

I've tried Disk Utility, Rebooting & drutil tray eject - nothing is working. How can I get the CD out of my drive?

On my new imac (version 10.7.3), every 20 minutes or so I get an error message that says, "you did not eject the disk properly" (even though I did not eject or remove or change anything)?

I was watching DVD - tried to eject - told me to shut down DVD Drive before eject - would not allow shut down - tried reboot and suggested eject - did not work because program DVD continues to run. Now have no DVD player and can not eject disk continues to run.

I have a problem on my IMac 27" (early 2010) when I want so listen to some CD. The Superdive doesn't read the disc (is clean of course) and it ejects after a few tried. On the other hand, no problems with DVD. So I don't know if is a software problem.

I have a iMac (iMac7,1) Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz that is 5 years old. The MATSHITADVD-R UJ-875 (DB09) Superdrive has been replaced once already. It is malfucntioning again. I was wondering if there were any troubleshooting steps I could take that I am unaware of before I replace the drive.
It seems to be a mechanical issue. The drive attempts to eject a disk - it sound like the disk is ejecting, yet it cannot. It keeps attempting to eject the disk over and over again. It has happened with a number of different disks, often after some time the disk will eventually eject. This time this one seems to be stuck for good. [URL]

I'm using a desktop IMac 15" and have come up against a problem I can't solve. I selected the disk drive as the start-up drive. Put the wrong disk in the drive and it is unable to start the comp. Now I have a blank screen and cannot eject the disk.
This is the first MAC I've ever had that does not have manual ejection for the disk drive.
What can I do short of ripping the cases apart?

I've been having problem with either Firefox or Safari and I download something and the dmg extracts and I'm left with the white casing shell where the app is housed and it won't eject. I can't eject it from finder but dumping it to the trash from finder took it off the sidebar. I can't get them off my desktop unless I restart my Mac.
I've noticed now that along with disk images not mounting for me anymore. My external drive images or DVD's won't eject either.
When I use right click with Mighty Mouse I don't even see an option anymore to eject that image. Is there any solution out there to fix this glitch? The work around I'm using is unmounting or ejecting images or disks from Disk Utility.
Why is this happening and how do I fix it? I'm using Leopard 10.5.2 and am on an intel iMac.

I copied a folder of photographs to my desktop from a disc. Now when I try to eject the disc I get a message that this can't be done because one or more programmes may be using it. I've also tried dragging the icon to trash but that fails as well.
What programme could be using the disc and am reluctant to force eject the disc at the moment as there is also a message that doing so could damage the contents and the disc belongs to my daughter and contains professionally shot images of my granddaughter.

Every time I try to restart my computer on my Hard Drive I get this message "Startup disk could not gather enough information on the selected disk". As of right now I am running my whole computer off of a 16GB flash drive that is quickly running out of memory. How do I fix my Hard Drive without losing all 150GB worth of data. I'm new to iTunes and I haven't found a convinient way to resume an album after I closing itunes. Let's say I'm playing an album (no playlist just a double click on the album), so that I see all track titles listed: Now 2 questions: Whats the easiest way to resume to this view, after e.g. browsing the iTunes store, to select another song from the currently playing album? When I close iTunes how can I resume playing the last played album? I can replay the last played song easily by selecting the last played playlist. But then I can't replay the complete album.

I opened the iTunes equalizer and it wasn't showing on the desktop. I tried using Expose (show all windows) and I see the equalizer "open". But when I exit Expose I see my Equalizer flies up and behind (or possibly over) the toolbar on top. I tried everything I could, but to no prevail. There was no way that I could possibly click behind the toolbar, I tried to bring all the windows up front and that didn't work. Tried clicking on the equalizer from Expose and it flies up again. Is there any other way to bring the little window back?

What is the cause of any audio songs played through iTunes since the most recent update to playback very poorly, low volume, low quality and volume phases in and out. I don't think it is the speakers, they work fine in other apps???

iTunes (11.3.1) keeps deleting episodes of podcasts when I auto-sync podcasts on my computer with my iPod (Classic 160 GB.). However, this only happens with some podcasts. This is in spite of the fact that I've checked all available boxes in the standard settings, and the particular settings for each specific podcast, as "Do not delete any played episodes."
Some of the podcasts no longer exist, so if they disappear from my computer or iPod they're just gone forever.
