Final Cut Studio :: Zoom Into A Still Photo Via Motion
Aug 22, 2014I have two things going within one edited shot.Â
1) I zoom into a still photo via Motion.
2) I use the widescreen Matte video filter.Â
The problem is that it seems like Motion overrides the matte video filter, so that when I zoom into the photo, the photo expands but so does the Matte filter, which I don't want.I want the matte filter to stay put over the moving imageÂ

Jun 5, 2014When I start up my iMac the desktop photo only takes up part of the display area in the upper left. The Dock is also showing up on the right side of the desktop photo and not on the right hand side of the screen where it should be. All my desktop file icons are where they should be. Â
If I switch accounts and switch back the display is back to what it should be. This just started happening in the last week or so and only happens on one account on the computer. I have not made any setup changes or installed any software before this happened but I did install the latest OSX update right before this started happening.

From the first time I bought it, I never change the setting except to change username and password to login in. So I let it all in default version. My first question is, what will the 4850M GPU be capable of? Say in terms of playing Crysis: Warhead and BFBC2?
My current system is a 08 Mac Pro Octo @ 3.0GHz, 18GB 800MHz RAM, GTX 285, and Intel X25-M G2 SSD, 1920x1200 res on a 23" ACD.
How comparable is the 4850M 512MB to the GTX 285 1GB? Could I play Crysis on medium settings w/ no AA @ 2560x1440?
My second question is, how easily can I install an Intel X25-M G2 SSD? Also will I be able to take the iMac into the store and get them to install the SSD?
My third question is, will I notice much of an improvement over my current system. The iMac has faster RAM, and newer Core i7 processors @ 2.8GHz that turbo up to 3.46GHz.
My fourth question is, when using Parallels 5 Desktop for Mac and configuring a VM I can choose how many processor cores I dedicate to the VM, will it show up as 8 or only 4?

Is there a way of getting round this, the main reason being is I want to use the Magic Trackpad - but ive been told this will only run on Snow Leopard OSX?
