OS X :: Getting Back Deleted My Documents Folder From Desktop?
Jan 30, 2009I didn't put the my documents folder in the trash can and empty the trash. I accidentally took it off the dock, so I went into Macintosh HD in order to put it back on the dock. I went under the "my places" tab and clicked and dragged the my documents tab, but I accidentally let go of the icon before it got to the dock and it disappeared. It was showing the little crumbled up piece of paper icon before it disappeared. So I don't know how to get the my documents folder back. It isn't anywhere on my desktop and it isn't in the Macintosh HD under the "my places" tab. I also don't know how to access the documents that were in there.

I was had downloaded the pdf and moving it from the desktop to the Documents stack and then decided to put it back on the desktop. Other than moving the icon for it I did not do anything.

ICloud On Mac :: Pages Documents Won't Open
Sep 6, 2014I've got a number of Pages documents on iCloud, and all of a sudden, none of them can be opened from Pages (5.2.2) on my MacBook Pro. They all appear, but they either say "zero bytes" or there is just a gray line. If I select any document, the "Open" button remains gray. I CAN open all docs on my iPad, and I can also open them using the iCloud web interface. Meanwhlie, Calendar is syncing new events to all devices without problem, in all directions, so it can't be a problem with the account.

Aug 31, 2014After the last Pages, Keynote and Numbers update my iCloud documents cannot be accessed anymore.There is no iCloud "storage" under open documents anymore.All my documents are still in the cloud (can access them on icloud.com) but they are not visible in the apps.
All files are however visible in my iOS-apps (Still iOS 7.1.2).Currently using OS 10.10 (14A329r) but not upgraded to iCloud Drive.

Feb 25, 2012On my iMac and MacBookPro I cannot save .pages documents to iCloud iWork. They appear on the iWork screen, but I cannot retrieve them.
However, from my iPad it is no problem!. After editing in iPad and save the documents to iCloud back it is possible to download these on my iMac or MacBookPro without problem.

I have a 10mpbs internet connection (DSL) and all other pages load just tine on this computer. I have another Macbook with Snow Leopard (about 2 years old) and Facebook loads on it just fine. Feb 27, 2012Every time I open Safari or Firefox, the pages take forever to load. I keep getting the color wheel and often have to force quit. I don't think it's the internet signal because I've tried it in 2 different locations (home and work) and the results are the same. I can't load videos (like those on Hulu). My computer memory is about half full, so I don't think it's that. This is a recent problem (within the last week).

Mar 2, 2012I bought a new macbookpro and tried to move my large Iphoto library with migration assistent. The assistent created a new user account.It wasn't nessesary because I will be the only one to use this computer. The process of removing (not only the user, but also the 45gig home folder) takes forever... Now more than 24hours and I can't shut down system preferences.Can I interrupt this process, without affecting my admin account, and re-delete the user in the normal way? (Without the safe-option that overwrites 30 times the things I want to delete) And how? I know it's best to leave it alone, but time is a factor.

I was messing around with Photo Booth, and clicked the account photo button, and it replaced the old one that i like with a new one...
How can i get my old one back? where was it located? I have made time machine backups, so maybe if i knew where the old photo is stored at, i could retrive it?

Jun 12, 2008We had a HDD fail on one of our office Mac laptops (a power pc G4). Apple repaired it and I restored all files etc from a backup. I was the administrator during the restore. Before I could get back, the user changed that account to a standard account and changed the name. Now there is no way to change the account back, because there is no admin to authenticate the change. Anything I can do? I am not an advanced computer/Mac person.

I searched using Spotlight and Finder but could not find them. The trash did not have them. Unfortunately I had not backed them up for a couple months.
