Aug 21, 2014
Having updated a Numbers file on iMac, opened iCloud on iMac,uploaded file & downloaded (updated iPhone & iPad but not Macbook).Reset iCloud & restarted all devices, but no change in Macbook.Tried copy & pasting from iCloud to Numbers but just end up with a jumble of figures in one column.
Info:
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), 21.5" Intel3.1Ghz iCore i7,16GB, FD
I think I must be missing a trick here, but how can I update my files to icloud without having to manually find the file and upload after any changes I have made on my Mac.I see drop box does this and indeed will allow many more file formats to be used, one of which is the universally useful .pdf format. My Iphone will update the changes automatically, I can't believe that the iCloud system won't let my Mac do the same.
I am about to purchase a new iMac. How do I go about migrating my programs and files from my old iMac to my new one using Mavericks. Let the Apple Store do it? Use the Cloud? I am running OS X Version 10.9.3. I found information on the apple.com site about using Mountain Lion and earlier operating systems, but not Mavericks.
I just moved everything to iCloud, and set up a acct @me.com.Now I can't update any of my apps and I also still had money to redeem under my other acct id.
My icloud 'sent' mail box has no recent sent messages in it. All this email i receive & review on my MAC are visible but all the emails I send from my MAC never appear on line (icloud).
I have an older MacBook Pro with OS X 10.4.11 It has a 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo processesor. I am now having issues with updating the latest Adobe flashplayer becasue it's not compatible. I bought a new iMac last year, so I was wondering if I could use the disks from the new iMac to install the new OS on my MacBook Pro?
i had some groups set up on my Mac Pro address book and they where syced with Icloud and my Iphone. just a few days ago i noticed that the contacts from A to J in each group are missing. I corrected this on the Macbook Pro but it did not change on Icloud or my I phone. how do i get my changes in my address book to update on Icloud?
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.3)
Is anyone else having problems with iCloud mail at the moment? For the past few days it has been VERY slow to update, sometimes failing altogether. Yesterday, I deleted a number of emails, only to find them restored after a later update. I am beginning to think about no longer using iCloud mail and shifting my main email account to my gmail account - it works every time!
After updating to System 10.7.4, I can't access my iCloud email account on any of my devices (computer and iPhone 4S). The servers are not recognizing my email password, which is the same as my Apple ID password. I can log in to iCloud using Safari and access all of my other information (contacts, etc.), but not email. I tried going to Keychain Access and found that my old MobileMe password was correct (now my iCloud and Apple ID password), but the "application password" associated with my email account (which is now my iCloud email account) had been switched to a long string of nonsense. I tried changing that string to my actual apple ID password, but the system changed it back to the nonsense string.
I'm writing a long document in Pages, and I'm storing it in iCloud so I can edit it on my iPad. Do I have to manually download from iCloud.com when I start writing on my mac and re-upload to iCloud.com when I'm finished? It's automatic on Dropbox. I think it's automatic on iCloud, too, but Zi don't see how to do it.
Will the software automatically update to Icloud from MobileMe. I do not have an account in mobileme but every time I try to sync my photos onto my mac (OSX Lion), the program asks me for my mobileme account information. If I input the Icloud info. It states I do not have a mobileme account. This has happened even if I try to get a mobileme account. How can I set this up for Icloud to work?
I own this type of iMac and it runs Mac OS X 10.2.8 it is also a G4, Now i've read and read and READ but still the iMac refuses to update, in the Apple menu where it should be there is a blank space.
I've been considering buying a MBP for a while now but have ultimately decided to wait until the next refresh, which i presume will be in time for christmas or very early 2010?Reason being I was bought a 24" iMac for my birthday in August and am obviously about to be slightly stung by the updated version of the all in one being released a mere 2 months or so later, so decided to wait till the next MBP update before buying my first notebook to maximize its longevity (hopefully). My question though is, as MBP and iMac specs are currently relatively similar and both are considered the slightly more high end "everyday consumer option" (low end being MacBook and Mac Mini)...Could the spec of the updated iMac be all but the same as the new MBP when they are released? i know we as consumers can never "know" but it could be logical to assume if iMac's get quad core and blu-ray then MBP could be in for similar treatment.
