I now have no calendar on my ipad and only one child's calender (out of three childrens +2 other calendars) shows up on my macbook and entries are changed to wrong days. Jun 14, 2012so i just recently updated my ipad to the newest version a while ago and it turns out to be a bad idea since i've lost all my files on my ipad ! so i connected it to my mac (which i don't sync it with), update it, and then at the end everything's gone and i had photos and files there that i never saved elsewhere.
now i know it's supposed to be in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ but all i see in there are files of which i can make no sense of (the filenames are just random letters and numbers and they don't have any file extensions; they just open up on TextEdit)
so if it's not there, should i just resign myself to my fate ? this is extremely disappointing as i've had extremely important photos in my ipad

May 18, 2009I have these Numbers files but need to send them to someone who is using a pc with MS Excel. She won't be able to read the files if they are left as .numbers. The odd thing is that I have successfully saved some of the files as .xls and .xls.xls and even some as .xls.numbers.
However, I have lost data when doing some of these savings - I have been taking the .numbers file and trying to save it as .xls but when I open the newly-saved file there's nothing there. Please look at the attached snapshot of my folder structure. Can you anything in there that might be causing my problem? The red arrows are just to highlight the ones I'm particularly interested in.

However, nothing shows up on my mac itunes. As well, if I buy a song through itunes on my mac, nothing shows up on either of the ios devices. I have icloud turned on on my mac. I've check and triple checked all the settings and all seem to be correct.

May 31, 2012I moved my MobileMe account to iCloud and want to set up my Mac so I can call my new iPad with FaceTime. In the iCloud system preferences I have "Mail and Notes" unchecked but the sole email account in Mail preferences is pointed to the iCloud mail server and I am receiving Mail. The account appears in Mail and seems to be functioing normally. If I check the "Mail and Notes" option in the system preferences a second iCloud Mail account appears in Mail with identical contents to the one that is there with this option unchecked. I'd rather not have this duplicate set of mailboxes in Mail so I'm leaving the option unchecked (is this OK?). I added my AOL address as a second email address to my Apple ID so I can use my AIM account with FaceTime and have set FaceTime to receive calls to my AIM address and I have added a contact with my iCloud email address.
On my iPad, I have set up FaceTime to receive calls to my iCloud email address and added a contact with my AIM address. This set up works when calling my Mac from my iPad but does not work the other way. How do I get it to work in both directions?
