I've been having problems with iCloud. Every now and then when I send an email off to a recipient, there will not be a copy in the sent emails folder nor can I scroll up in the messages screen to see my sent email. This only happens on iCloud. I have a Gmail a/c on Mail.app too and no problems there.Â

Since setting up iCloud, all my contacts from Address Book are on iCloud.Fine Then I want to erase my contacts on my iPhone to replace them with my clean contacts in Address Book.To do so, I do a usual (Info tab of iTunes sync settings, check to Sync Contacts with Address Book, then further down under Advanced ... I shut down the sync and tried to re-import my contacts from an earlier export, but each time I choose Import, the names appear, the wheel spins, and when it stops all the contacts disappear.

In the near future I will be upgrading to an iPhone so I am considering plunging deeper into the Apple Ecosytem and moving over to iCloud.I mostly do all my email/calendar adjustments from my desktop using Mail & iCal. However, if I am not near my computer and at a different desktop I would prefer logging into icloud online to view everything (both work and personal). Is this possible or will I only be able to view my personal icloud info?

I am using Mac OS 10.4.11 and I do not plan to upgrade my OS software at this time. I am not using any wireless devices such as iPhone, iPad, or iPod. The only "wireless device" I use is my PowerMac G4 using Airport and whatever wireless signal from a modem is handy for internet connection. I am using Apple's Mail application and wish to continue using it just as it is with my existing email addresses. I currently have a MobileMe account which I'm not worried about losing when it's phased out as long as my Mail application and email continues to function. My question is do, I have to sign up with, or make the move to, iCloud in order for my Mail application and my email to continue working in the near future? I do not mind losing MobileMe and I do not mind not having iCloud if my email will work without it. I do not wish to purchase iCloud service and I hope I do not have to pay to keep my email working. I do have iDisk at the moment but I prefer to let it go rather than to continue to pay for a remote upload/download storage service, although I wouldn't mind keeping it if I don't have to pay for it.Â
