I am on travel and thus not at home. The Macbook Pro is running 10.6.8 with max memory and a 750GB HD. I suspect this is associated with moving my accounts to iCloud. And I assume Apple will sort this out either in the next few hours or the next few days.

I access my iCloud account on Mail on my Mac Air. Last week it just stopped updating without any changes from me. All I have is the little triangle with the exclamation points in them next to the account name. I've tried reentering my account password and changing ports. Nothing. It doesn't even try to retrieve mail when I do so under the Mailbox drop-down menu. It's all very random.Â

I bought 3 email only accounts along with the family pack in mobile me (when it was dot mac) long time ago I paid for these for several years, then mobile me came in with Aliases, but my mail only accounts were tied over as legacies, and I continued paying for them in mobile me. They are 3 ----------@mac.com addresses, and are important to keep. What will happen in iCloud? am I going to loose these addresses - which would have a major impact on my "digital lifestyle" I really need to know how to keep them not figure out how to live without them! Then also I have two email addreses/accounts as part of mobile me family pack, wife has two also, Son has one. Does each of these accounts need migrating over to iCloud?What if two of these are the same person on the same Mac(s)Â

As of yesterday 25th May 2012, Apple mail on my mac stopped receiving new mail. I checked my mail around lunchtime (all ok) then when I got home checked again...nothing! I had however had mail delivered during the afternoon to my Blackberry. I have a .mac and .me email address as well as a pop 3. These have all been set up for ages and I've had no problems. My pop 3 and two mac accounts all have worked wonderfully since I went over from Mobile Me to ICloud. I can still send from all three mail addresses from my mac. When I check my mail on iCloud via the web there are new messages in my inbox. I'm still getting these delivered to my Blackberry, as usual. Also my pop 3 account has started asking me for my password which I enter and save in my Keychain it then asks again. The only time this happens is when there is problem with iCloud, according to the Service Status everything is up and running. I have three macs and it's the same on all three.

today i found that Mail has stopped working for no obvious reason.It wont send or receive emails, but when i check by signing into .mac itself, the messages have arrived and everything appears normal.Mail won't quit either... then every so often a box with the following text appears:'Some actions taken while the account 'enter.mac address here' was offline could not be completed online.Mail has undone actions on some messages so that you can redo the actions while online. I keep getting asked to insert my password for the three accounts I access via mail. I can't get the preferences to save the passwords and can't get the passwords working with the keychain. It seems that keychain isn't accepting passwords since I changed my system from mobile me to icloud. I still have Mac OS X. version 10.6.8. I wish that mobile me was still an option.

Somehow, iCloud is receiving e-mail sent to another account, a non iCloud/non-mac.com, and bringing these e-mails into my mac.com inbox. Thus, all of the duplicate e-mails pile up in my Mac account making it difficult to find mail intended for the mac.com account.How is this happening? I've checked the settings in Preferences but nowhere do I see the accounts combined.

I migrated to iCloud months ago and have been receiving mail on both my Mac and iPhone with no problems until yesterday. I've been on ios 5 and Lion for quite a while and did not update any software in the past few days. Sometime on March 22, mail stopped syncing to BOTH my Mac and iPhone. I also sync gmail to those devices with no problem and I can get my mail through the internet on iCloud.com.
The fact that sync failed on both my devices separately tells me it may be a larger issue? Through Mail on my Mac, I get the following message on the failed sync... The server returned the error: The server "p99-imap.mail.me.com" cannot be contacted on port 993. I've tried deactivating and reactivating, closing and reopening the apps, rebooting and even deleting the mail account on iPhone then reinstalling. Nothing works.

I installed 10.5.7 yesterday. Immediately after the installation was complete, my Apple bluetooth keyboard stopped working. Went into Bluetooth system settings, and it said that there was no bluetooth hardware found... (it's built into the machine!!)...
Also, every time I start iTunes, it gives some weird error about Adobe Flash player. I'm not at home now so I don't have the exact wording of the error with me, sorry...

My Mail.app has been working fine with my [URL] account for yonks but has now suddenly stopped working. I either get a constant spinner next to the account or a warning sign that says something about bandwidth limits exceeded.
My blackberry gets my email fine, as does Evolution on Ubuntu 10.04. This has been on going for about a week and I've even archived any messages that have lots of pictures in them. Still no luck.
Mail is working with my other google apps accounts for about four different domains but _not_ with my [URL] account.
have been using Mail (to my Yahoo account) for a few weeks. A few days ago it just stopped working. Checked the Connection Doctor, no issues, able to connect with the Yahoo server. I am able to send email, just not receive. After a bit of reading I tried to do the Rebuild but it is greyed out. Also not able to delete email messages that are in the mailbox, I delete them but they are not actually deleted, they re-appear. Now I get a message box 'The file 10217.emlx' cannot be opened because there is no such file'.

Apple Mail stopped working after replacing and restoring the Main Hard Drive in the upper bay. Internet connection is good, and the Mail client troubleshooting (Comcast) was no help. I can start the App, but it does not retrieve or send mail through Comcast anymore. I have a MacBook Pro with the same settings and Mail works fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEverthing's been fine since I first setup my Mac Mini over a year ago....2 or 3 days ago I noticed when I tried to do a cut/paste from a mail message to a field (using Cmd-C Cmd-V) in a web page, it didn't work. It's alsways worked before but I chalked it up to the web form not taking "pasted" input. But then I tried from a text document to an email...same story. I highlight text with the mouse, do Cmd-C and get a "bong" sound, then go to where I want to paste, do a Cmd-V and nothing gets pasted. I take it the "bong" means some sort of error or invalid input occured?
I restarted the Mini and it worked for a while (at least when I tried it right after logging in). Then yesterday I had to restart my Mini again and the shortcuts aren't working again. If I highlight text and then right-click the mouse and select copy, then move to where I want to paste and right-click and select paste it works fine....just the keyboard shortcuts don't work. I checked the sytem prefs, keyboard pane and saw nothing out of the ordinary.....any ideas out there?
