I got an email saying my lost ipad is now displaying a message (weeks after initially writing the message and having it say offline). But it is not showing up on the map. Shouldn't it? It's been less than 24 hours since it says the message was displayed.

I left my ipad on a plane. And then scheduled an automatic data erase once it was turned on. But because I did that now i can't locate it but the data erase email I got states it was initiated on3/3/12- 2 weeks after I lost it. the history on location only lasts for 24 hours- now how do I locate it

My iMac running OS 10.6.8 is suddenly not displaying the message when I highlight an email.It highlights in blue but I now have to open every email to see the content.I have two email accounts connected.Gmail for work and hotmail for personal. I'm running a macbook osx 10.5.8 and a windows 7 laptop. I have purchased the Freecom 500gb network drive and installed it on the pc. It took forever to tweak it to see and access the files (kept on getting an error) but I finally managed it. I created new folders on the Freecom hard drive (plugged into my router and accessed wirelessly from both of the computers) so i could see there was something on the drive when i try and connect on the mac. It found the drive on the network, and could open the 'public' folder - yet the folders i created (with full permissions granted) are not there. Also, when i create a new folder on the mac in that directory - it creates and disappears straight away.

So I double clicked on that, it took several long seconds to pull up google news. When I back out to my bookmarks page I noticed that the number of bookmarks next to bookmarks bar said zero or nothing! It should have said 6101! Does anyone know why this would happen?

i start up my macbook pro (only about two weeks old, bought from apple store) and the grey screen with the apple logo and a little moving cirle underneath comes on and stays on for VERY long and then a message comes up saying there has been a problem so please restart. it does not say what error. i have tried putting in the hardware diagnostic dvd but that obviousl wont run because it doesn't get past the apple logo before giving me this message. it was working five minute before and:
-there was no new drivers installed,
-i have never opened up the macbook
-no new software installed before it stopped working
-i charged it regularly and the battery was on 90+%

so I just booted up my MBP, and I got this message that said that an application called srserviceagent, which is not in my applications, quit unexpectedly. I hit ignore, and the message just popped up again five seconds later. I did this multiple times, before just deciding to click relaunch. Well, all this does is immediately bring the message back up. So I hit report, in which it said that the report couldnt be sent. I have force quit, restarted and shut down already.

I have a few wmv vids on my mac. Up until recently they were all fine. When I went into the folder the all files showed the Qicktime logo on them and played using flip4mac. Now the files are just white with no logo on them and when I click to play one it brings up the message "This movie could not be opened, The file is not a movie file." I have tried reinstalling flip4mac and quicktime but I still have the same issue. Someone told me to try perian but still nothing. I am guessing this is a problem with the files but not sure how this happened or how to fix it.

I can't seem to have my mac linked via icloud to my ios devices. When I buy a song on my ipad, it will imediately show up on my iphone and vice versa. However, nothing shows up on my mac itunes. As well, if I buy a song through itunes on my mac, nothing shows up on either of the ios devices. I have icloud turned on on my mac. I've check and triple checked all the settings and all seem to be correct.

I moved my MobileMe account to iCloud and want to set up my Mac so I can call my new iPad with FaceTime. In the iCloud system preferences I have "Mail and Notes" unchecked but the sole email account in Mail preferences is pointed to the iCloud mail server and I am receiving Mail. The account appears in Mail and seems to be functioing normally. If I check the "Mail and Notes" option in the system preferences a second iCloud Mail account appears in Mail with identical contents to the one that is there with this option unchecked. I'd rather not have this duplicate set of mailboxes in Mail so I'm leaving the option unchecked (is this OK?). I added my AOL address as a second email address to my Apple ID so I can use my AIM account with FaceTime and have set FaceTime to receive calls to my AIM address and I have added a contact with my iCloud email address.
On my iPad, I have set up FaceTime to receive calls to my iCloud email address and added a contact with my AIM address. This set up works when calling my Mac from my iPad but does not work the other way. How do I get it to work in both directions?
