I've changed my apple id as old mail account was hacked. I've managed to sort my iPhone to use the new id but my macair seems to have no way to edit the apple id. Itunes/store has the new apple id no problem.

I am just about to make the transition to iCloud from mobile me but before I do that I am trying to change my apple id. Â
When I log in to the 'My Apple ID' page and edit my details, it will not give me the option to edit my apple id. Is there something else that I need to do or once you have an apple id are you stuck with it?Â

I have no idea why but I can't delete or edit Address Book entries in Lion. It works fine on the web-based client and from my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 (CDMA). But my Address Book.app in Lion only can view them. I've tried turning off the Address Book function and re-adding it. I made sure all permissions are correct for the address book prefs etc are correct.

I am trying to update my Address Book with a new email adress for one of my clents. I looks like I can't. I suspect iClould is the reason why I suddenly can't. I have been trying to do this symple task for like an hour!These computers are supposed to be simple to use.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI finally switched to Apple's Mail app 4 months ago after 12 years of using Eudora (because of the inevitable - that Lion or Mountain Lion, when I upgrade, will not support the foundation architecture that Eudora is built on).There are (AT LEAST) two functions available in Eudora that I very much want to do with Mail and currently cannot figure out how to do. I'm hoping that someone knows of a plugin that will do these functions, or will write such a plugin, or will tell me how to make this suggestion to Apple to include in a future update.
1) I want the freedom to EDIT a received message - to correct a subject line, or make it more relevant for my reference, or add a key word/prefix to the subject for future searching and archiving, along with being able to edit the message itself, so that it is the equivalent in a book (or an eBook) of adding comments/marginalia for future reference. (In my opinion, once I receive an email message, it is MINE - so I should be able to do what I want with it (which includes the responsibility of not rewriting a message to resend to appear as deceptive or fraudulent).
2) Write up a draft email, that would reside in the "Send" folder of Eudora, and for which I could select a time in the future that it should be mailed (dependent on the fact that Eudora would be running at that time, else it would send the next time Eudora was opened. I would LOVE to be able to do that in Apple Mail. Rationale: Often, when I receive an actionable email, I want to respond at that moment while the subject is fresh, but due to priorities or scheduling reasons, I don't want the response to go out just then. Maybe I want the response to go out after an event three days from now, but I want to process the message right now, and I don't want to have to remember to make a ToDo item to remind me in 3 days.
I have been trying to download Cloud 1.I put my Apple ID and Password in.It didn't take.I changed my password and it still didn't take.Also, when I tried to download mobile me, it wanted my 'member name and ID'.Is that separate? View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been working on a project in iMovie for a few days, and it has been working perfectly. Today, I opened up my project and I could not play the project (the red line would move, but no picture would show up in the upper right hand corner box) and ALL of the options in the "share" tab were gray and unable to click them. Many options in the "edit" and "file" tabs were unable to be clicked as well.
Another project i completed months ago is working perfectly. The clips in the events play/show up on the window in the upper right hand corner

Now, on my iphone, ipad and mac i can login to " find my iphone" and " icloud" photostream, but on my macbook it just says " this is not your primary account".

When I first set icloud up it wouldn't recognise my apple id but I made a new apple id and then managed somehow to get my apple ID for itunes store and icloud to be the same. However, I have just updated my iphone operating system and when it asked me in the initial setting up process for my Apple ID which is an email address it wouldn't recognise it again! Grrr! So the only way to get into my phone was to create another Apple ID for icloud on Iphone. Â
