So I can finally sync with MobileMe (no thanks to Apple, who have still not replied to my email a week later). My contacts are fine, but the calendar only shows my Home and Work calendars. Why aren't the rest showing up? Am I missing something?

Everything was working fine, but now my calendars keep disappearing, even though the data is still there (when I open iCal, i see the calendars, and then they disappear after a few moments and any alarm that I set will pop up the way it was supposed to).
View 2 Replies View RelatedEarlier tonight I opened iCal, only to find that none of my calendars were there. it was completely empty. However, when I changed the view from "Week" to "Month" all of my events were listed (in the proper color) on the appropriate day, but I still had no list of calendars on the left. Subsequent changes between "Day" "Week" and "Month" view continued to display the events properly, but nothing showed up in the calendar menu on the left.
I repaired permissions same thing happened.I trashed com.apple.ical pref (forgot the exact filename)�same behavior. I use .mac to sync between computers, and I use Missing Sync to sync to a Palm T|X.
For a long time I've successfully (and happily most of the time) synced iCal, Address Book, bookmarks, etc. with MobileMe. So my desktop (Mini), laptop (Macbook Pro), iPhone, and iPad stay together. But yesterday syncing went nuts. I was alerted that more than 25% of my calendar items were changing and 1,600 items would be added. I canceled that sync. Then it said 3,800 items would be added, then 11,000, then 85,000! And whole calendars were being duplicated in iCal. (I think most problems occurred in iCal but Address Book seems to have had a few problems too.) Mostly I was able to stop syncing before too much damage was done. But as soon as I turn syncing back on, it goes nuts again. I've deleted as many .plists as I think safe.

I did a complete mirror of my hard drive and everything is working fine except for MobileMe. I am able to sync all MobileMe items except for the Calender. When it gets to �alendar syncing a window pops up with the following:
You need to replace your Calendar information on MobileMe
If this computer has the most current information, click Replace. If the most current information is on another computer, cick Fix Later and replace your information on that computer.
Obviously my only two options to click are Fix Later and Replace.
The problem is while I was unable to use my computer I was using my iPhone mostly with the calendar which of course synced to my MobileMe account.
I don't want to choose Replace since this computer was not used for approximately 2 weeks so is not at all up to date.
I can choose Fix Later but I never get any other options.
I simply need to have this computer get the information from MobileMe and place it on this computer since both my iphone and MobileMe is up to date but I never get that option.
How do I do this (take info from MobileMe and put on this computer)?

I have iCloud, and it doesn't seem to be doing a thing. My calendars, which used to sync under MobileMe, now don't sync anymore. In fact, they don't even sync through iTunes when I PHYSICALLY PLUG the phone into the Macbook. Calendars are set up to sync. I have selected ALL calendars to sync (even though I wish I could just get rid of the different calendars and have just one. What a pain! Just because I wanted to write in different colors on my calendar depending on the type of event, iCal has to complicate everything and treat these as separate calendars???) The settings on my iPhone are also set to sync all calendars. I've gone into the iCloud settings; everything is on and enabled. The OS on the iPhone is the most current. iTunes is up to date. My OS on my Macbook is the latest (Lion OS 10.7.4).

What are my options for sharing my calendars with friends? Do I need a mobileme account? We have one computer with two e-mail addresses and two iphones. Do we need the family plan?
I've been syncing a number of calendars from my Mobileme account and sharing them on numerous devices and with a number of associates and family. And I'm still using OS10.6, haven't moved to Lion yet, so I can't use iCloud. Do I have to give up on sharing my iCal calendars? I don't really like using google calendars to share, but that's the only alternative i can figure out.

Trying to get them to talk to each other - I've input the Google account into iCal preferences, and it shows up fine. But I seem only able to sync one way - if I add an appointment in Google Calendar - then sync - it shows up fine in iCal. But if I add an event in iCal and then sync - it doesn't show up on the Google Calandar.
I want to share a calendar or two with another person but the person does not have Mobile Me so are there other ways to share my calendar? Note, the person does use google calendar, is there a way via google?

I know that you can add Google Calendar to your iCal this way. Is there a better way? I just don't like how it is a separate calendar instead of syncing with the calendars I already have in iCal, I guess I'm looking for something that will sync my existing calendars on iCal with Google Cal similar to what Mobile Me does. Any suggestions or should I just try tailoring the above method to what I want it to do?

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since updating my MacBook Air to Yosemite and my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.0.2 (or maybe 8.1.1), my calendars no longer sync correctly across devices. Prior to the updates, any addition or change I made to the calendar on my iPhone would be added to the calendar on my Mac the next time I synced my phone. Now I have duplicate events on my phone, the calendar on my Mac no longer incorporates changes from the phone and I get a dialog box on the Mac 2-3 times an hour about calendar conflicts. No matter how many times I review the conflicts and choose which events/updates to save, the box keeps coming back. I've never had a persistent issue like this with any previous iOS or Mac OS updates and I can't figure out why it won't stop.

I have my mac setup at home. I have mobile me to sync 2 of my macs and my iphone. Mobile me synchronizes all that can be synchronized.
My boss got me a mac and is connected in a Windows Exchange environment. It works great. But I want to combine my work calendar with my private calendars.
So, I want to bring the exchange calendar of my work computer to show in my private calendars in my mac at home and in my iphone. Maybe through publishing and subscription...?
The issue is that I do not want to put my mobile me password in this work computer, since it is a "Company computer" and it's going to sync all my private info.
How bad can it get if I put my mobile me credentials in this work computer and syncs all my private info? Is there a potential that my info be out in the open for all to see in my workplace?
My calendars on the iPhone did not syncronize with iCloud for other devices (iPad, Mac). So I tried to sync iPhone Calendars with iTunes where I got a warning of duplicate entries.After the sync my Mac calendars all were gone, on the iPhone, on the Mac. Only the Calendars on iCloud, which are not up to date (!!!) are still available. I tried to restore via TimeMachine but could not find the database for iCal. Everything seems to have changed in OX Lion.

I was thrilled to discover the (advertised) easy integration in Snow Leopard between iCal and Google Calendar. Additionally, I use Mobile Me to keep everything sync'd between my computers and my iPod touch. But, upon tinkering between iCal and Google Calendar, it seems there is no simple way to integrate multiple iCal calendars with multiple calendars in a single Google Calendar account, in way that allows it to all still sync with Mobile Me. It seems that the sync only works between the "Primary Calendar" of the Google Calendar (the first calendar created in the account) and iCal -- there's no way to also.
The closest I can seem to get is to have my primary account with google calendar sync'd (say, with my personal calendar), and then have "Delegate" calendars linked up with my work, class, etc calendars. But, none of these calendars "delegate" or "primary" seem to want to sync with Mobile Me. I'm hoping the MacRumors Army might have some ideas... Is spanning sync the only solution?

A small one, but on my Macbook the local iDisk displaysa purple icon with a cloud, but on the iMac it's still the .Mac logo. I wonder why. I think, think, that the contents are the same - but it doesn't fill me with confidence that they're syncing together...

I dont know whether I am being stupid or whether it is simply not possible, but I am havign issues syncing new calendars to mobileme.
On iCal I have two headings, 'On my Mac', and 'MobileMe'. Any calendar that is created under 'On my Mac', will not sync with mobileme, and is not in the cloud. I find this odd and I can't seem to figure out the problem. Any idea why this might be?

I just used the ical calibration tool to sync ical up with my google calendar and it works like a charm. I love how i can just click on dates in Mail and add them to my iCal which then pushes i to google calendar for my wife to see...that way i can sneak tennis or a round of golf in and she can't say she didn't know
At any rate-i would like to know if there's a way to pull her cal stuff to my ical. I can see all of her stuff on my google calendar, but i dont have the "right" to add her account to ical. I assume i could just have her enter in her login info - but i would like to know if that's the best way.
I just got a MacBook Pro and want to set it up to Sync on mobile me with my other macs (iMac, Iphone, the Macbook Pro this one is replacing, etc.) But when I go to Mobile Me in preferences and go to the Sync tab, it won't let me click the Synchronize with MobileMe option, and all the choices below are greyed out and unavailable.
