Software :: IWeb 2.0.2 - How Do I Change The Color Or Settings For The Preset Hyperlinks?
Nov 10, 2007I'm working on making a blog, and can't change/edit the color or anything of the hyperlinks that iWeb puts in for me.

View 1 RepliesMy wife has an iMac (I don't know any other way to identify it e.g. model number), and she has this 3rd party calibration software that I'm trying to use. I am not used to a Mac, and I cannot find the display settings for the monitor. There are no buttons on the monitor, and when I go to preferences, I can only find the brightness control. I've googled this and cannot find a clear, simple answer. I have used every version of Windows (currently on 8.1 on my PC) and it's easy for me on that platform. I suppose it's just that I don't really know how to navigate Mac OS.

Okay, so I'm setting up my website and it's quite a bit like the Apple site. I set up links to my other pages from each page, but when I check "activate hyperlinks" and then click one, I always go back to the main page (The Psywave Corporation). What am I doing wrong, if anything, formatting-wise? How can I fix this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe homepage of www.colbath.ch has strange glitch in the hyperlinks to the sites pages. Despite recreating the page from scratch, the problem reoccurs. The problem is this: only the first letter of the hyperlinked word functions as a link. This fault occurs on the homepage only.
I would be grateful to anyone who took the time to visit the site and could give me a boost fixing the problem.
so this has happened twice now in the past month, my mb is in screen saver mode and i wake it up to find that the color is off in the screen. meaning that the color settings changed and the screen has a swashed out blue tint to it. first time i restarted and all was good, second time i clicked on the preferences icon and then the screen went back to its normal setting. my normal setting is not the factory one but one of the ones that people said makes the screen look better.
so what gives, is the integrated chip dieing on me?
oh its a unibody that i got when they first came out, 2.0 processor one all factory
i really want to customize my macbook. i want to change the color logo to apple classic color. (but not for a while) the main thing i want to do is something like this [URL] the second picture to last. the guy with a suit and a hat, being covered with the apple logo. i want something like that, only not that image. you get the idea though. where can i get something like this? are they stickers as well? or are they laser engraved? i do not want it permanent on my macbook, since i get easily bored with the same look
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my MacBook Pro now for a little over 2 yrs and I was very frustrated I could not change any print options in any application. I know that the Triangle button expands print options screen but when I do, I have only two print choices. It gave me Standard or Page Attributes in Office and any other App it is Standard and Last used settings. I can't print in Draft, Best or other setting because it does not even give them as a choice. I have two high end color photo printers, Canon i9900 and Epson Photo series and an old HP830 series. Any app I tried to print from and the same thing. I tried to capture the options on the choices but it would not grab that part of the image but here is my screen shot. I searched many forums and I still get the same answer so something else is not letting me change things so I figured best to ask since I am a 20 year win user now switched to Mac. Well right after I posted this question, my wife found the answer. I never though to check the application NAME in the print setting screen. Example, in the screenshot I am using Preview. I never thought to hit the up/down arrow next to the Preview label and wouldn't you know, that is were the quality and several other settings were. I felt pretty stupid that it took 2 years to figure this out but if I posted the answer maybe someone else will not have to take as long as I did to change their print quality!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm glad to have a more seamless solution with iWeb (ditching Transmit) but even though I have the 'Directory/Path' set to '/' I think it's needlessly duplicating my URL name and I can't remove it. I'll explain.
Say my site is example.com. I want to make a page called test.html. It ends up loading it to:
[URL]
In this case, in the site publishing settings pane (which isn't very intuitive to find, I'll add) under Site name: it defaults to 'example' and even if I delete 'example' then save it or publish changes or do anything, 'example' pops back in there automatically and it publishes it accordingly.
I hope I've made my question clear. I definitely have a dangerously low level of understanding when it comes to FTP transfers and domain names, etc.
What setting do I need to change to print in color on a color printer - everything is printing B/W?

I need to change the color and brightness for a video file for a presentation and cannot figure out how to change them permanently when I open the video file in Powerpoint. When I open a video which I have altered the AV settings on in another program, the settings revert to the initial settings. Can I edit the color and brightness settings permanently in Quicktime 7?

before switching to Mac, I used an "X-Rite Eye One Display 2" color meter device with software. You can find them most places like Amazon for about $150. The device should still work, but I can't find any software for it for the Mac. After going to the X-Rite web site, I could find no software at all for the Mac as it is only windows based.
Surely someone out there has used a color meter such as this one as they are quite popular especially for graphics artists that use professional graphic monitors. I am hoping someone can tell me how to use my color meter (USB), what software for Mac Leopard I need and how to save the color profile in the Mac OS.
the menu bar font color is black, and i want to change it to white, same with the spotlight icon.
How do i change the color to white?
change the color of my menu bar to white
Code:
sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.WindowServer 'EnvironmentVariables' -dict 'CI_NO_BACKGROUND_IMAGE' 1
it prompts me for a password and then i put it in then i restart my mac and... it doesnt change, its still this like off gray color.
When you right-click or hold down an icon on the Dock, theres always a white pop-up that says (ex. Open, Remove for Dock, Show in Finder, etc.) I saw a YouTube video of a guy that had a black pop-up and I asked but he won't reply. Anyone know how to do this?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was using my MBP when I noticed that the display (the built in one) looked a little washed out. To make sure my color profile was set to the correct one, I opened up the display panel in System Preferences. The moment I opened it, the display snapped back to its regular appearance. As far as I can tell, it goes into the washed out version after going to screensaver and coming back, and going into display prefs is the only way to restore it. Anyone seen this before or know how to keep it from doing this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is silly.... is there a program which helps you change the color of the apple?
It is white right now as I have the lid of my MacBook open.
I just purchased a new 15" MBP... have been searching for some color profiles, and downloaded a few found here.
However, when I go into my display file and switch between profiles, nothing changes. Also, when I click on different profiles, I get that "bong" sound when I hit the mouse.
i have this wallpaper and i want to change background color. what to do, i'm used to photo filtre on win and I can't find any tool that could do that.

Suffering similar problems to many I Web users, I have read the posts, but haven't managed to solve the problem for my own I Web website. Usual thing when publishing to a private domain the site is not appearing when using the domain in a browser, although the [URL] username site is updating fine. I changed the CNAME as advised[URL] Additionally I have changed the web forwarding to [URL] And no joy. Should I be taking both the above steps or is one sufficient?

I have a folder full of PDF's that I need to print. I saved a custom printer preset that I need to use. It specifies two sided as well as stapling. When I try to batch print through the finder (select all and print, or drop into the desktop printer), it does not use the preset that I created and there's no prompt to change it. I've also tried opening them all in Preview, but Preview processes all the docs as one print job. I need each one processed separately to that stapling applies correctly. I've also tried other tips about opening the CUPS printer page and setting default options. The office finisher settings of my Xerox do not show up on that page.

I tried to find a tool in "inspector" but couldn't...I just want to change a JPEG file from color to black/white effect.
I know in Powerpoint 2011, I can simply click on the image and there will be several image effect selections on the ribbon. I couldn't find the same feature on Keynote 09.
This may be of interest of more of you. I want to be able to read easier when the background is white, especially pdf files, or webpages.
I did not find a solution for certain documents, to change a background without breaking the style. I'm using the lowest brightness but I found its easier to read when I make the background gray, for example in textEdit.
ideas for pdf files ?
I did a search on this topic, but no results.
Has anyone here tried/done this to their MacBook? The site that sells it say it is extremely difficult. MacBook Pro is easier. I like to hear your input if you've attempted this.
Has anyone attempted to remove the LCD? If I get the Air I like to do this to the Apple logo. I did it on my MacBook and I love it.
View 13 Replies View RelatedHello everyone. No I AM NOT looking to mod the apple logo in my menu bar. My question is this: Why does my apple logo change color from time to time? I have seen it Red/Orange, blue, white/grey, and traditional black. Why is it doing this? I have never seen it before. No I haven't changed backgrounds/themes. It isn't all the time, infact I am not sure if it is related to any specific user intervention. I am just curious as to why it may be doing this. I've googled and only founds ways to hack it. NO I am not on hallucinogens. I thought it was related to the Apple Software update, indicating I had new updates, but this was disproven today when it was Red and I checked for updates.
