Is there a way to change the color of certain folders in mail.app kind of like (exactly like, really) you can in the finder? All that blue is making it hard for me to find my target!

View 15 Replies View Relatedi really want to customize my macbook. i want to change the color logo to apple classic color. (but not for a while) the main thing i want to do is something like this [URL] the second picture to last. the guy with a suit and a hat, being covered with the apple logo. i want something like that, only not that image. you get the idea though. where can i get something like this? are they stickers as well? or are they laser engraved? i do not want it permanent on my macbook, since i get easily bored with the same look
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there (or will there ever be) any way to change the white default color of finder windows in column and list views? Or is there a 3rd party app? You can change them in icon view but that's the only view I never use. My eyes get so tired staring at white all day. If I could make all my windows dark grey I could work longer, better, happier. Would also love to make the Mail app dark.

before switching to Mac, I used an "X-Rite Eye One Display 2" color meter device with software. You can find them most places like Amazon for about $150. The device should still work, but I can't find any software for it for the Mac. After going to the X-Rite web site, I could find no software at all for the Mac as it is only windows based.
Surely someone out there has used a color meter such as this one as they are quite popular especially for graphics artists that use professional graphic monitors. I am hoping someone can tell me how to use my color meter (USB), what software for Mac Leopard I need and how to save the color profile in the Mac OS.
the menu bar font color is black, and i want to change it to white, same with the spotlight icon.
How do i change the color to white?
change the color of my menu bar to white
Code:
sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.WindowServer 'EnvironmentVariables' -dict 'CI_NO_BACKGROUND_IMAGE' 1
it prompts me for a password and then i put it in then i restart my mac and... it doesnt change, its still this like off gray color.
When you right-click or hold down an icon on the Dock, theres always a white pop-up that says (ex. Open, Remove for Dock, Show in Finder, etc.) I saw a YouTube video of a guy that had a black pop-up and I asked but he won't reply. Anyone know how to do this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is silly.... is there a program which helps you change the color of the apple?
It is white right now as I have the lid of my MacBook open.
I just purchased a new 15" MBP... have been searching for some color profiles, and downloaded a few found here.
However, when I go into my display file and switch between profiles, nothing changes. Also, when I click on different profiles, I get that "bong" sound when I hit the mouse.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIm using an Imac with Mac OS 10.7.3. I am trying to use a Citrix to open some files but I get the error message that display is configured for 65536 colors and is not supported. I need to us 24 or 32 bit color. I cannot figure out how to make this change. Under system preferences>Display I see nothing that allows me to change depth to those levels.

How do I change the incoming font in mail?

I'm trying to correct a problem with my wife's iCloud email account. I cannot change the 'Incoming Mail Server' name in the 'Account Information panel. If I delete the account and start a new one, I can enter the correct name ... "imap.mail.me.com". However, once I click on create, the Incoming Mail Server name reverts to 'mail.example.com.Â

I tried to find a tool in "inspector" but couldn't...I just want to change a JPEG file from color to black/white effect.
I know in Powerpoint 2011, I can simply click on the image and there will be several image effect selections on the ribbon. I couldn't find the same feature on Keynote 09.
This may be of interest of more of you. I want to be able to read easier when the background is white, especially pdf files, or webpages.
I did not find a solution for certain documents, to change a background without breaking the style. I'm using the lowest brightness but I found its easier to read when I make the background gray, for example in textEdit.
ideas for pdf files ?
I did a search on this topic, but no results.
Has anyone here tried/done this to their MacBook? The site that sells it say it is extremely difficult. MacBook Pro is easier. I like to hear your input if you've attempted this.
Has anyone attempted to remove the LCD? If I get the Air I like to do this to the Apple logo. I did it on my MacBook and I love it.
View 13 Replies View RelatedHello everyone. No I AM NOT looking to mod the apple logo in my menu bar. My question is this: Why does my apple logo change color from time to time? I have seen it Red/Orange, blue, white/grey, and traditional black. Why is it doing this? I have never seen it before. No I haven't changed backgrounds/themes. It isn't all the time, infact I am not sure if it is related to any specific user intervention. I am just curious as to why it may be doing this. I've googled and only founds ways to hack it. NO I am not on hallucinogens. I thought it was related to the Apple Software update, indicating I had new updates, but this was disproven today when it was Red and I checked for updates.

View 7 Replies View RelatedVisited link colors in Safari, most notably visited Google links when I return to the search page, don't change colors as they used to do. Actually, I think it's been that way for a long time (years) now but I am just now coming back around to being interested in why and if there is a way to get back to the days where new links were BLUE and visited links were GREEN (or whatever color you wanted). Is this still possible with the new Safari and if so, how do you go about setting this visted link color preference?

Without using an external program, that is. I know you can change it with an external program, but I was wondering if anyone knows how to modify it from within OS X's files themselves?
