I downloaded Chronosync a few months ago, and found that it was really too sophisticated a program for me. (Hey, no groans in the peanut gallery.) How do I uninstall the program and the icons that appear on the top of the screen? Namely, the clockwise circle and the US flag icons? Thanks for your help. Sparrowhawk.

Example: have chronosync monitor my documents folder and a documents folder on an external HD and if I drop a new file in either location it will automatically sync to the other.
I have a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.2. I have two folders A and B on airport drives. I wish that Folder B be an exact copy of folder A. Chronosync is installed on my computer. My problem is that folder B contains files which are not on folder A. I can't seem to find a setting on chronosync to remove same, I know it should be a simple thing to do.

I think everything is syncing fine but the process takes so goddamn long that I'm wondering if it's normal. The first sync took like 5 hours just as I expected because I have a lot of files. I thought all syncs following that would be shorter, because the program would only look for the changed files right? But it looks like it's analyzing every file again.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI've just purchased a new Macbook Pro for my mum and I need to find the simplest, easiest and most fail proof solution to sync the two machines together. She is an author and works off an iMac in her study and will use the laptop in another room, but also when traveling around. She is a pretty much a computer novice so I need a method where she won't have to do anything or manually sync and won't have any issues with duplicate copies of files etc. If I was doing this I'd definitely be looking at something like Chronosync as I have a large hard drive full of music and video files but my mum only really uses word documents that don't take up much space. The guy in the Apple Store suggested moving all of her documents and files (only about 8GB) to MobileMe and then accessing them via iDisk from both machines. Would this be her best option?

Everything went smoothly including installing 4x750 Samsung Spinpoint drives from newegg, 4 GB of extra memory from OWC, Raid set up, and so on. For instance, I want to uninstall a program that I installed as I want to reinstall it. In Windows, you've this wonderful control panel that has everything. Mac's Utility folder has some stuff, but not what I am looking for. I love the right-click mouse feature in Windows; can't seem to have that work on my Mac. So, is there any kind of resource available which lists everything that the OS does without any pretty pictures or over-simplifications? The 81-page manual on Apple site didn't do much good to me. And, how do you uninstall a program? Throwing the .app file in the trash didn't help.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI'm so fed up with all the bugs in SL i encounter, i want to go back to 10.5.8, when everything just worked. However, SL messed up the connection with my TM backup disk (cannot access sparsebundle, error 109) where my 10.5.8 OS resides.
So now the only way possible seems to install with my original 10.5 disk.
Can i downgrade by doing an archive and install of an older system (leopard) over a newer system (SL) If it can be avoided i don't want to reinstall all my apps as well??? For example what will happen with all my emails?

I run PDANetuninstall.sh from the finder app and when I click it a textedit box comes up saying some jargon along with pdanet has been uninstalled, reboot. Well, when I reboot, pdanet is still in the applications folder and the uninstaller is still in the home menu, and can be run again.

Point being is, to re-install Mac OS X, my computer is telling me I cannot do so while I have Windows installed as there is no available space for it.
