I'm with my G5 out of my place and dont have install CD. Unfortunately I remove Ical from application. cant not install Ical 1.5 cause it's uptade. I CAN NOT find where to download Ical.
View 1 RepliesI had Apple Soundtrack 1.0 installed and then I removed it. Now its been about a week and software update has been coming up and trying to have me update the files, even though I removed the application already. How can I remove whatever is left that makes SU think it is still there? I'm using Snow Leopard, with all updates. The two updates in question are Pro Applications Update 2005-01 and 2006-02.
It claims it is for users of Final Cut Studio 5.1, Final Cut Pro 5.1, Motion 2.1, Soundtrack Pro 1.1, DVD Studio Pro 4.1, Shake 4.1, Live Type 2.1, Compressor 2.1, Apple QMaster 2.1, Final Cut Express HD 3.5. I don't have any of these installed and I'm assuming something was left behind, making it think it is still here. I could leave it since the files are so tiny, but it's just annoying that it keeps popping up every 8 hours or so.
Apparently I allowed iCloud to delete all of my calendar and reminder information from my Mac.Can I restore it from iCloud, if not can I restore it from Time Machine?
View 1 Replies View RelatedEverytime I upload that ical backup file... nothing happens in google calendar. It does nothing in Firefox... and safari I just get 0 was transferred. I just want to bring over my calendar to google. Does anyone know what is going on? Anything I am missing?
I just used the ical calibration tool to sync ical up with my google calendar and it works like a charm. I love how i can just click on dates in Mail and add them to my iCal which then pushes i to google calendar for my wife to see...that way i can sneak tennis or a round of golf in and she can't say she didn't know
At any rate-i would like to know if there's a way to pull her cal stuff to my ical. I can see all of her stuff on my google calendar, but i dont have the "right" to add her account to ical. I assume i could just have her enter in her login info - but i would like to know if that's the best way.
Trying to get them to talk to each other - I've input the Google account into iCal preferences, and it shows up fine. But I seem only able to sync one way - if I add an appointment in Google Calendar - then sync - it shows up fine in iCal. But if I add an event in iCal and then sync - it doesn't show up on the Google Calandar.
Loaded 10.6 last night and everything appeared to go well. However, when I opened iCal, ALL of my appointments, birthdays, events, etc. had disappeared. Unfortunately I had not backed up iCal before loading SL.
I have good SuperDuper backups of the system and I have Time Machine backups of everything, but I don't see a way to extract the appointment data from those.
I try not to have iCal running because I've got the Dateline app that stays on my desktop. Mousing over that will give me appts and such as I need to have them.
I've found, that opening iCal and messing with the input screen for a new event is kind of cumbersome, and I'm wondering if folks have found a good way to create new iCal events w minimal interaction with iCal itself.
Today 2.5 offers this as a feature, but it's $25. Macworld also had a tip, but running that Automator action opens up iCal in the background.
Are there any other solutions out there?
I cant get my mobile me ical to update ical on my MBP. It says in the ical settings that its connected to the mobile me account. What can I do to fix this?

Then along came 10.4.x and broke the version of CUPS I was using (I think that was the story.) So I backed down to CUPS v1.2.12 which I've been using since then. (The details are a little foggy so I apologize for possibly not having release versions definite.) Since then, like anyone else using CUPS I've had to reinstall CUPS every time I apply an Apple system update. Are you aware of any means to remove CUPS v1.2.12 and return to using the Apple-supplied printing components?

I thought I was moving something else to the recycle bin & at the last second realized I was dragging the stacks icon.
Was successful in missing the bin but must have dropped it off the dock & now I can't figure out how to replace it.
I would actually prefer to just have a 'shortcut/icon' for 'my pictures' there instead, as 99% of the time I clicked stacks I would go there.
I have an IMAC with OS X Version 10.5.8
Whenever I go into iTunes I get a message that there is a download that still needs to download. this is from an album I purchased over a year ago. For some reason the album downloaded but it is still sitting in the download que. So everytime I open iTunes it ask for my password in order to complete the download. How can I just delete the thing? When I right click and select delete from the drop down menu it goes away until I close iTunes and open it back up again. When I actual try to download the purchase I get the following message:

I bought a G3 iMac about a year ago as a spare computer, and had tried to remove a disk partition set by the previous user. Now when it boots after the apple logo the log in screen flashes for a second and then disappears, then the icon changes to the spinning beach ball and stays there forever...I assume it is trying to boot from the partitionthat i removed and is confused in somway, can I reset this? or will i need to boot from another device?Maybe i'll need to boot from an ext HD?

I have landed up on the desktop with a temp file. Its been there for weeks, something to do with illustrator I think. I am confident I don't need it any more but I cannot delete it, says it cannot be deleted. Infact I cannot even move it, it just jumps straight back to its place.
I tried "sudo rm" in terminal but when I try to drag it onto the terminal window, it just moves back to the desktop and does not enter its location into terminal.
After going through the iMovie process I find no iDVD to make the movie. Has it been removed or hidden in OSX 10.7?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just accidentally removed my SD card from my USB reader when I was zeroing out data from it. I've inserted it in again and have now zeroed out the data about 4 times in the MS-DOS format, now whenever I try to insert it into a camera or printer it will say it's not useable despite being able to use it on my Mac. Any ideas? I'd rather not have to go buy another SD card.
