I was wondering if you can setup a private print job with the Toshiba 850e Copier Mac OSX drivers? We are able to do it on our PCs, but I do not see a printing preferences options where I can check the Private Print job box, and set a password. We are thinking about switching to macs here at our school, but our teachers really like the private print option of the copier.

Bought Epson CX3650 two months ago; have been printing only letters (i.e. black) which has run out, but so have all the other colours (can't understand why as I've printed next to nothing in colour). Ordered a new black cartridge but wouldn't print as other inks (which I don't need) have run out. Have looked for a "Black Only" option in the print dialog box but can't find it. Anyone know a quick fix that avoids buying 4 colour inks every time? Running Mac System 10.3.9.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI added a network printer (HP Laserjet 2300) to my MB (OS 10.5.8) printer list and I can print single sided just fine. BUT there is no option anywhere in my print menu to print double sided. My two labmates can print double sided on this printer (one using MBP with OS 10.6, one a Windows PC). The menu on the MBP looks different and where I have the "reverse pages" option, they have a "double-sided" check box.
I have already:
-Checked the Duplex Unit box on the printer info menu in System preferences
-Looked at ALL the sub menus in the printer menu
-tried to reinstall the drivers (current driver v. 4.3.5.153 - I suspect this may be the issue because the MBP that can print double sided has driver v. 16.something). Actually the HP site was extraordinarily unhelpful in telling me even what version of drivers I should have or getting me to a place where i could download.
-Restarted my computer with various iterations of the above.
This printer can and does print double sided -just not from my computer because I don't have the check box.
In the Print window the option to Print Selection is messing since the Mavericks update. I have only 1 option and that is to ring the whole page. What I am having to do now is copy and paste what I want to print into Text Edit then print.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer! Â
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.Â
After clicking System Preference how do I get SCAN option to appear so documents can be scanned? Currently only the Print option is visible and having no problems with printing. Printer is a HP Laser Jet 300.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a rocketfish adapter to connect MacBook Pro to a Toshiba TV with HDMI. I can see all icons and apps on the Mac but only the typical Mac background screen on the TV (you know the stars and northern lights). No apps are showing on the TV. So, there is a connection because I can see the trademark Apple background on the screen, but none of the apps are showing while I work away on the Mac. I did the same thing with my Sony TV tv and I was able to see everything on the Sony screen. Is there a compatability problem with the Toshiba or is there something I need to do to reconfigure the Mac ?

I have a moshi Mini DP to HDMI adapter, HDMI cable (Monster Digital Audio and Video) and a Toshiba 26SL400U LED TV. According to what I have read about my MBP it supports audio out through the MiniDP (under the System Profiler Audio(built in) it shows HDMI / Display Port Output) Following the instructions for the Moshi adapter (sold at the Apple Store) I hook everything up MBP>Adapter>HDMI Cable>TV. Turn the TV on and I should be able to select the HDMI option for audio in System preferences and I should be able to select the display as well.

I need to get some files off of it, it's got is one usb port, another port I don't recognize, a floppy drive, and a CD drive (can't burn). I've tried just using a usb stick, but the Toshiba wants a driver to use it. I tried connecting to the internet with it through the usb, but it also wants a driver for that. This computer is set up for connection through dial up only. I don't have a modem capable of dial up.

Unfortunately, the case has a (sort of) "unibody" design to it - there are no screws! I don't want to void the warranty by cracking the damn thing open.
Obviously, the Momentus XT will be faster because of its Hybrid structure with the 4gb SSD cache, but how much faster in reality compared to the 1TB drive. I'm coming from the stock 250GB HDD in the 13in MBP (Mid 2009) and am looking to upgrade. Just don't know which to get as I would like speed and more space.

I went to genius bar yesterday because some problems with the privies hard disk drive. They gave me the toshiba as a replacement. I wasn't required to sign any paper after that. Before when I got a replacement iphone or macbook charger, they both asked me to sign a paper. I don't know why this time is different. Also I heard that Toshiba hard drive is worse than Samsung's.By the way, I didn't erase my documents in previous hard drive, will anyone be able use or read them? Well, I saved many account passwords in that hard drive.
