Using a MacBook Pro - trying to print return address labels from my Contacts.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI added a network printer (HP Laserjet 2300) to my MB (OS 10.5.8) printer list and I can print single sided just fine. BUT there is no option anywhere in my print menu to print double sided. My two labmates can print double sided on this printer (one using MBP with OS 10.6, one a Windows PC). The menu on the MBP looks different and where I have the "reverse pages" option, they have a "double-sided" check box.
I have already:
-Checked the Duplex Unit box on the printer info menu in System preferences
-Looked at ALL the sub menus in the printer menu
-tried to reinstall the drivers (current driver v. 4.3.5.153 - I suspect this may be the issue because the MBP that can print double sided has driver v. 16.something). Actually the HP site was extraordinarily unhelpful in telling me even what version of drivers I should have or getting me to a place where i could download.
-Restarted my computer with various iterations of the above.
This printer can and does print double sided -just not from my computer because I don't have the check box.
I'm trying to Print a "Phone List" from Entourage address book. I know "phone list" is an option in the drop down box of the print menu but cannot seem to have company name print on phone list. It only shows persons name and phone numbers.

I have labels sheets (Avery) that I want to print on.
In Word, i just choose File, New, Labels, and am given a choice of label types. I fill in the tabs and job done.
Does anyone know how to do this in Pages? I know how to create a table, but, isn't there an easier way to do this?
Plus, can I edit the current business cards template so that I can use it to create the labels?
Currently, I am using Pages for all my word processing stuff, with the exception of printing labels and envelopes.
I'm running 5.1.5 in Lion. When I click the "Print Label" button to ship a package on UPS as I've done for years, the button links to a UPS "Page Not Found" page. I'm not running in private mode or using the pop-up blocker, so I don't know what's going on. The button works just fine in Chrome. Haven't tried other browsers.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since updating to Yosemite, I have noticed an odd behavior from the menu bar. When I switch between apps, the menu bar doesn't always change. Like right now, the menu bar says "System Preferences..." and shows all the menus for System Preferences, but when I select a menu, the proper one drops down. how I can get my menu bar to display the proper menus?

Yesterday, I had to re-format my external hard drive so that it could be "recordable" within Pro Tools, which wasn't a major issue, I just had to move everything from my Lacie drive to another drive, do the format, and then throw it all back on. It took a little while but this also included moving my nearly 60gb itunes library. Now that it is on the newly formatted hard drive, itunes doesn't seem to be able to find the majority of the songs any more. I've tried changing the music folder and a few other things, and there is no way I'm going through and doing the "cant find music - click here to find it" palava. Is anyone aware of a way that you can "mass find" all of the music in any way other than starting the library again and adding all the music (I don't really want to lose all of my play counts and ratings if possible!)

Bought Epson CX3650 two months ago; have been printing only letters (i.e. black) which has run out, but so have all the other colours (can't understand why as I've printed next to nothing in colour). Ordered a new black cartridge but wouldn't print as other inks (which I don't need) have run out. Have looked for a "Black Only" option in the print dialog box but can't find it. Anyone know a quick fix that avoids buying 4 colour inks every time? Running Mac System 10.3.9.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to burn some audio mix CDs from my iTunes collection, and as my MacBook Pro's Superdrive has got fluff in it or something similar, I am sharing my library with my girlfriend's iMac and attempting to burn from there. We both run the current iTunes, but I have the burn options on my MBP's menu but cannot see any burn options on the iMac's menu or in the playlist window. It's not just my library I can't burn on her iMac, I couldn't burn any of her library either. It's not that burn options are greyed out, they aren't there at all. Very odd considering we are both running current iTunes.

I'm using a new iMac (OS 10.7.4) and was wondereing if it possible to stop my machine from constantly changing the input menu from "Britsh" to "U.S.". This is the item with the small national flag icon in the Finder menu.
Is there a way of removing one of these options permanently, in my case remove the U.S. option?
Before I ask this question, I just want to emphasize that I KNOW how easy it is to create a service using automator. I'm not looking to clutter up my contextual menu more than it already is, I would just like to edit/alter an already existing submenu, or simply add a new one like Dropbox does.
I would like to add a share option to my right-click contextual share option for outlook, or whatever app/service I would like to send the file with.
add a share option to the contextual-menu, and possibly delete some I don't use, like flickr or twitter.

I just bought a new 13" MPB from the Apple Store today, however after using it I noticed there's no inertial scrolling. I'm using the old hard drive from my 2008 unibody macbook so would that have something to do with it? I can't find the option in the preference pane either.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have several iMacs in my office with Lion and Mail 5.1. I have a user who wants to View attachments as Icons to ensure all are attached prior to sending. Unlike all the other iMacs, hers does not have the option "View in Place" and "View as Icon" when she right-clicks on the attachment.
I have found in other posts that you cannot set a defaul to ensure Icons or View in Place will always occur, and that the default depends on the type and size of attachment. I am not sure of that logic, but she can't even choose on an individual email basis. How can those options be enabled?
